My friend had a Groupon to come to this event at the Spaghetti Factory in Duarte. I hope it wasn't expensive because I have mixed feelings about this event. I have to start off by saying that the spaghetti factory is a horrible cheap place to have this murder mystery dinner. The room it's self is decorated very nice, what I am referring to as being horrible is the food. The meal started off with a very small garden salad. I don't know how you mess up a salad, but the dressing was like a watery Cesar, and the lettuce was wilted. I only had a couple bites. Bread and butter were complementary, they were fine. We had two options for dinner. Both were pasta dishes. The pasta came out watery and gross. Drinks were extra and the dinner ended with some spumoni ice cream . Needless to say I left hungry. The servers were very nice, but they were obviously understaffed for this event because getting a refill or anything else was almost impossible. The actors for the murder mystery were high energy and fun. They stayed in character and looked like they enjoyed their job. Be ready for audience participation. Some guests are picked to play characters and you are expected to make rounds to all the tables to gather clues and info. This is kinda awkward when you're trying to eat. Each table is a team , so be prepared to socialize with your teammates. My table mates made the event fun, but the whole thing was kind of cheesy. Some people dressed up some people didn't. Some people participated, some people didn't. When you first get there you were able to take fun pictures for purchase. The Groupon says $20 a picture. But , it turns out $20 a person per picture. Or at least that's what the guy at my table was charged for him and his girlfriend. Needless to say I didn't need a picture . The cheap food and expensive pictures is probably how they make any profit, so I get it. I had an OK time because I went with my friend. I would not choose to come here by myself or on a date. I don't think I would come back even if it was free. It was an experience it once kind of thing.

Hired them for my 80s themed murder mystery birthday party, and had a blast. Terra and Luke were great at working the room and propelling the game forward. I never had to do a thing except play. It was fun, funny and very entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to host a unique party. And if you dont want to host it at your house, I recommend using peerspace.com to find a venue thats right for you.

You can buy cute pics for 20 bucks framed

Today we went to the show in Duarte at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Loved the venue as it's an old school (supposedly haunted too) wooo downstairs bathroom beware! Well I brought my mom for her bday and my sis. We all had a fantastic time! The actresses and actor were fantastic and hilarious. We loved the murder plot and how they involved the audience to participate. The whole event was hilarious, interesting and just fun to discuss who dun it! Food was good! Not super fancy but I liked it as well my mom and sis. They gave us a three course which included salad, pasta, and bowl of ice cream Anyway, I am definitely attending again and would definitely recommend anyone looking for a fun night out to go! You'll have a killer time lol but yes go have fun be a detective for a night! You won't regret!

You are placed in a line and photos are taken and offered as a souvenir for $40. Upon entering the banquet space, you create your "alias" on a name tag to wear throughout your dinner & show. There are audience actor plants & obvious actors who play out the scenes during the dinner service. Each clue is guided by a host and clues are posted on the "wall" (this is virtual clues that you'll scan with your QR code that they place at your tables.) you eventually receive all the clues you need to form your guess on "who done it." It was silly, fun & a nice evening. The actors did a good job & dinner was perfectly fine given the preset menu provided upon your ticket purchase. With my allergy, I was provided a ticket to place at my table so that I would not be served plates with nuts. We were served coffee, tea & water, bread, salad, entree & a dessert (walnut chocolate chip cookies but I was served fruit d/t my allergy). Our table had a nice time investigating bc we were pretty sure someone at our table was the murderer. Would recommend if you're looking for a unique & fun thing to do that doesn't require a lot of physical effort & is entertaining.

Sounds amazing... until you show up and it's already full... which was what happened. Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. We had such a great experience -- the ambience, service, and overall vibe were top-tier. Can't wait for our next cozy movie night here!

They were very welcoming to our large group, and seating was smooth and well-organized. The service was impressive given our group size--staff stayed attentive and kept things moving efficiently. The show is the highlight--very entertaining, interactive, and engaging from start to finish. They involve the audience often, bringing both kids and adults into the action. The cast includes pirates, a mermaid, a princess, and a captain performing acrobatic and agility stunts that kept everyone fully engaged. We had the basic food package: a garden salad, chicken dinner for adults, and chicken nuggets with mac and cheese for students, plus a brownie for dessert and included soft drinks. The food is simple but good--definitely filling, but not the main attraction. There are also upgraded appetizers, entrées, and desserts available for an additional cost. At $43.95 for a show, drink, and three-course meal, it's a solid value. You'll leave full and entertained--just don't come expecting gourmet dining. Compared to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, Pirates Dinner Adventure feels more interactive and offers more comfortable seating, with a similar level of food quality. Overall, a fun and memorable experience--especially great for groups and field trips!

Walking in is a step back in time to when the golden age of the silver screen brought people en masse to classy, red carpeted movie houses. That vibe lingers as one enters the softly lit warm glow of the lobby with its period chandeliers, dark wood painted beams, and carpeted floors. Proper old school escorts take you to your seats. Inside the theater, the stage is flanked by drapes, and aesthetically pleasing lighting sets the mood. The seats are a rare find - wooden with lush velvety fabric. Surprisingly, they were more spacious than expected. Also surprisingly, our seats weren't attached to the floor! If we leaned forward, our two seats both moved. It wasn't a problem, just surprising. We also had one cup holder. It seemed they were randomly placed with several seats lacking them. Since we were here for a concert, let's talk about sound quality, which was spot on! The speaker system provided multidirectional sound that was clear and clean. No pops, distortion, or drops here. The bass gave that satisfying through the feet vibration without rattling our teeth. The temperature was comfortably cool and never stuffy. So, why a 4 instead of a 5? While seat/cupholder were kinda just quirky, it's a matter of layout and patience. As you pass through to the interior, there's a confluence of lines that, even though people queued up as best they could, merged with those trying to find a way through. The women's restroom line - which was clean with good sized stalls - comes first, with the bar just a few yards away, followed by merch table. The bar line ended up descending down the stairs on one side while the merch table went down the other. I honestly don't know how they could manage it differently given the space. Bar and merch lines moved slowly, and I was appreciative when another joined the single bartender to help customers. Someone said there was another bar, but I was too time invested to inquire. My friend eventually left the merch table after making no significant headway after 20 minutes. After the concert, the line was back down the stairs. Patience, politeness, and flexibility win the day here. Did this take away from our experience? No, not really. We were lined up outside and entered shortly after doors opened, an hour before showtime. These logistics would not keep me from returning.
