A super cute local playhouse, Riverside Community Players are a fun way to spend the evening. I recommend booking in advance because it definitely fills up. There are really no bad seats, because there are only a few rows in a circle around the stage. I have seen a few plays here and they have all been good. Definitely a fun date night!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a very good shot of the emblem due to it being up towards the top of the roof, at night

Wife decided to take me to a play and asked if I would like to go to a Theater In The Round, to which I've never been to one before. The play in question was for "A Christmas Carol" (I'm a sucker for that in almost any form). And so we went. Upon arrival I noticed that for some shows it's best if you buy tickets ahead of time or make reservations. We actually had to wait in a queue until we were called. Thankfully we made it in. Also of note, the tickets were $8 each. The theater itself is rather small. I'd guess maybe 100 or so people fit around the center stage. Those who come expecting high levels of acting will be disappointed, however it is enjoyable none the less. The decorations used were simple but fit the bill nicely and the actors all did a great job throughout the play. During intermission, they held a raffle drawing for the kids. They like to encourage reading and gave away a book of the play being done, all autographed by the actors. Overall I found it an enjoyable experience. Great if you have kids or small families who are into such things.

And with my last visit to the 2023 Nutcracker show, it was nothing but splendid! The performance center itself is part of the Riverside Community College, so depending where you will park, you might get to walk around the campus. There also could be a flight of long stairs or just a flat walk towards the main entrance. Staff here are also really helpful and nice, and I'm sure they are the same for all the different shows they have here. Inside the auditorium, it reminds me of a large lecture hall: with those wooden, collapsable chairs...just felt like being in college again! Which was cool. The stage and its lighting system is amazing and the stage will be lit up just perfectly for any show. I really enjoy coming here and who knows, maybe I'll come back for another show!

The Theater is large with 1500 seats and a professional stage that I hear is about to get some major upgrades. It's obvious that a lot of effort has gone into making this storied stage something special. Simple concessions from a local club from campus were nice and just the right price. Tickets for into the woods was just $16.00 with a $5 discount for advanced purchase, an amazing bargain! Into The woods was fantastic, clever, and massively entertaining with a superb cast. The Sets and lighting crossed between professional and campy, just perfect for such a fun show.

I was thrilled to learn that the center was associated with UCR's College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. As a CHASS alum I couldn't miss out on seeing what was inside. I left a donation of five dollars and spent fifteen minutes admiring the current exhibition, a series of sculptures made out of various recycled plastics--and other materials, I'm sure. What a bright spot along the promenade this place will be for years to come! I'll be sure to check out future exhibitions--and they do film screenings here, too. What a great renovation to this classic building!

Austy and I love this Theatre because it has the updated Luxury Chic Reclining Chairs and the Plaza is always so romantically well lito to help us enjoy outdoorsy decompression walks in the evening. I finally convinced Austy to invest in a Regal Membership and Chris was a fantastic Asset to help guide us through the latest Membership Sign Up process! We appreciated how the Host who greeted us kindly at the entrance directed us to the Guests Services area to get assistance on how to enroll in the Membership Program, and how Chris noticed us immediately and walked over with the appropriate pace of professional urgency to help us complete the enrollment process as quick as possible so we wouldn't miss our Movie. I also LOVE their Movie Pass! You pay for three months upfront and then it's only $0.50 per movie. You can even add your whole family on the app and book everyone's seats together. We had it before, took a little break, and recently signed back up because it's such a great deal if you like going to the movies. The location is another huge plus.
