I had a great experience. I'm very happy to say that the theater was very clean. The seats are extremely comfortable. The recliners are amazing so the remodel is a huge plus! oh the bathrooms are still the same old same old but at least they get the job done. For the price of the Movies and the location, I have no complaints. I think this is a great place a great hidden gem, I think I found my new hideaway. Loved that the soda was free refills. Because I do need my soda to watch a movie. Popcorn not a bad price either. read more

Came here to watch the TADC movie in theater 4. The speakers are so anemic that my home sound system puts them to shame. The screen projection is also terrible, like the bulb is dying. Whites come across as reddish, yellowish, and even greenish. The new seats are nice but they are wasted on a poor viewing angle. read more

It's ok. I have only been here one time, but my husband had been here before. He let me know it's gotten a makeover. Idk how recent that was, but the seats reclined and were spacious. Very comfortable. Idk if I would come back though. The snacks were great. But there were two things I strongly did not like. (1) I had a very small purse and they insisted and check it. Very odd. If they're concerned about weapons then get a metal detector like other ghetto theaters. I know they weren't checking for food because I saw several families in the theater with lots of Tupperware. They brought dinner and dessert. (2) Most items at the concession stand have pricing. However, this is not so when it comes to the combos. The economy is hard on folks, especially teens who go to the movies. It's shady to me that they don't list the price. Plenty of free parking in the lot. read more

Located near the Moreno Valley mall is this smaller theater. Tuesdays are discounted days. They've remodeled the place so it is more modernized. The recliner seats were spacious and comfy. Only complaint was that the concession stand lines went slower than usual & there was a 15 min wait for their $2 hotdogs. Other than that, everything was well kept up. read more

Get better staff ! Don't go if you have kids , Joshua will give them dirty looks and shake his head for them putting butter in their popcorn ! Then after not being told that a movie was still playing you will get told to "get out " for not paying for that movie even though we clearly paid for out tickets they just failed to tell us a movie was still playing !!! read more

I love this location. It has excellent buttery popcorn, hotdogs and the staff is so nice and welcoming. This location has special pricing on Tuesday and comfortable reclining seats. Highly recommend! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the Regency Town Gate 8 in Moreno Valley. I purchased three tickets directly from the box office and thought everything was fine. About 20 minutes into the movie, an usher came over and asked to see our tickets. After I showed them, she left, only to return a few minutes later and tell us we needed to speak with her manager. We were forced to leave the movie while it was already in progress and meet with the manager, Marco. We were then informed that our seats had somehow been double-sold and that we could no longer remain in the theater. While we were eventually given a refund, the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. Marco showed no customer service skills whatsoever. There was no apology for the inconvenience, no acknowledgment that the theater's mistake had disrupted our movie experience, and no effort to make things right beyond the refund. When I asked for a customer service phone number and his full name, he refused to provide either. The only reason I know his name is because it was displayed on his name tag. Mistakes happen, but customer service is what separates a good business from a bad one. Being removed from a movie because the theater double-sold tickets is frustrating enough. Being treated with indifference and receiving no apology made the experience even worse. I would expect much better from management. read more

Love the new revamp. It felt like good old Moreno Valley days but better seats. Maybe have more people working in the food to make the lines faster read more

The Regency Towngate theatre has updated their seats and watching first run movies there even better than some much larger and more popular theatre chains. The concessions are very good and are value priced. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you want to go to a movie theater where they treat you like you're trying to get through airport security, this is the place. They bag-check everyone and practically strip-search you at the door. The person doing the check was sarcastic and rude, pointing at their policy poster and saying, "the white one behind you," like customers are supposed to magically know their rules. Then you go to buy snacks and the line is absolutely ridiculous. After waiting forever, you finally get to the front just to find out they don't even have half the snacks that every other theater normally carries. Yet they're perfectly happy to make you throw away anything you brought with you or walk all the way back to your car. The theater itself smells like a Chuck E. Cheese and the seating isn't anything special either. It's honestly embarrassing that they try to hold customers to such strict "standards" at the door, while the rest of the place feels like a complete joke. I'm extremely disappointed with the whole experience. read more

I hadn't been to The Towngate 8 since pre covid. What a pleasant surprise! The theaters have been remodeled with Super Comfy Reclining chairs! The theater is clean and well kept! The concessions have great deals, the ticket prices are super competitive to neighboring theaters! They even have special pricing on Tuesday. We will definitely be visiting more frequently. Also the staff is friendly and work hard to keep the theater clean. I noticed the manager with an employee waiting to clean the theater after the movie. Let's support this long running theater in our community and Please do ALL we can to keep the theater beautiful and clean! read more

I am definitely learning a lot about this neighborhood. . My aunt lives in Perris not too far away. I just wanted to see the matinee of Barbie. Having grand illusions of taking pictures with pink balloons in a metal box ..........a girl can dream ! Unfortunately when we got there absolutely nothing to celebrate ! They didn't even have a poster. That's ridiculous. How did I even know what room to go in. We did get to take a picture next to the icee polar bear, but it wasn't his movie we were excited about. Bummed now we're going to drive around and look for a movie theater that is celebrating Barbie. #I'mThatOld #I'mABarbieGirl read more

This theater was remodeled about 4 months ago and is fantastic!!! Has 8 theaters (one with Dolby sound). All have brand new recliner chairs. Very very clean and fantastic prices on the movies and the concessions. The extra large refillable popcorn is only $8.00!!! They show current movies, not old stuff! Saw the Chosen Last Supper pt 1,2 & 3, the Amateur and just today, The Accountant 2! I highly recommend you give this place a try!!!! read more

Hope they close this place closes down. The management here sucks . Not sure how they still have this theatre open . First time I went place was empty . THIS MOVIE THEATER IS LEGENDARY!! Great staffs and good popcorn and movies. I hope they keep this place open

We usually love this theatre, it's always great experience, however theatre 4 row D had ants in there seats.

Oh my I was not expecting what I found here!! They have remodeled... its great, comfortable, really pleasent. The seats are reclinable and very comforable. Down fall is the prices at consession ... ie 5 dollars for a bottle of water. Ugh. But I do like they have senior pricing! I would give the theater 5 stars. Consessions 3.5. So overall 4 read more

Despite the comfortable seat they ruined the experience with the volume up so high the speakers are distorted. . They are Asking for a lawsuit. Management need to regulate volume to a safe level. This is the second time I told them it's to loud . read more

Customer service was good. The review is based on the technical aspects of the theater. The somewhat bright dimmed lights in the theater remained on throughout the commercials. No big deal. Then the coming attractions came and the lights still remained on. When the main feature started i thought the lights would shut off so we can see the screen. Nope! The lights washed out the screen and it was unbearable to watch. I dont know if lights are set to shutoff in this establishment but i have a feeling that since i was the sole viewer they didnt bother. Every theater i went to always shut off the lights and the screen would adjust for optimal viewing. After 15 minutes i requested a refund and at least that part went smoothly. The sound in the theater was good. read more

This Movie theatre is dependable for Kid-friendly, Affordable movies. The movie tickets were $2.50 per person. I saw the movie "Jungle Cruise" (2021). The bathrooms were quite clean, the hand dryer was a no touch dryer while the door handle to exit the restroom was a "pull" handle. My company went to the restroom. He informed me the men's bathroom light was off and the urinals were dark. Unfortunately this did not create a comfortable experience for him. I recommend staff do walk throughs to check on the status of the restrooms every now and then. I was sad to see this location no longer sells my highly favored Nathan's hot dogs. I hope the person in charge of the inventory of Food does a reevaluation of budget to make sure that good quality items are in stock for the concession stand. They do offer good combination orders that allow you to order the same delicious goodies for cheaper in a bundle. My friend and I ordered a Icee Coke, Fountain Drink, Large Popcorn that was split, Nacho Cheese Popcorn powder, Sour Licorice bites and nachos. The Nacho's were to expire in a month however I could smell the cooking oil it was cooked with was no longer good, rancid. My friend tossed the chips and was not able to enjoy the Nacho chips. Some rows of seats are closed due to social distancing, as you walk into the theatre you notice every other row of seats is closed. There are signs as you entire the theatre room that strongly recommend that you sit 3 seats away from others. My movie theater was quite empty there was a small party of 3 in the theater, making a total of 5 people watching the film. The employees state masks are optional for guests who have been vaccinated. In this space, face masks are also encouraged, in general. While watching the film you're not expected to wear a mask as you are available to eat your snacks during the movie. The movie was enjoyable and I was happy to come back to this theatre that I've been to as a child, after the COVID Lockdown. read more

Our family likes going here because they have reasonable prices. They have comfortable seats.

This place has newly remodeled their theaters & upgraded to reclining luxury chairs. Which makes going here a big plus. You get to pick your seat there or in advance on the website. They have self-service refillable fountian drinks. You can also become a loyalty member and receive perks that way. Also, they are reasonably priced and show movies just coming out in theaters ($10 for a matinee in 2024). read more

Went there today for the first time! Will be definitely coming back. Very clean and had very nice staff. Thank you! :)

Friendly staff nice and clean seats bathroom facilities clean. Movie theater surround sound great.

As a movalian, this place isn't bad I mean, $2.00 hot dogs on discount Tuesdays with refillable drinks? Send it. The bathrooms were very clean and the employees were pretty on it despite the overwhelming amount of people in line. The theatre during the time my family and I went (06/26/24) was extremely hot due to the a/c being out per an employee. Other than that, not a bad movie experience at all. read more

This theater checks bags for outside food. As long as a ticket is bought for the movie, people should be able to bring snacks in if they don't want to buy the overpriced concession food all the time. I will not be visiting this theater anymore even though it has the cheapest tickets in the area. read more

The prices were great and affordable. The theater was clean and comfortable. I will definitely bring my family back.

I give this place a three, very hot in the lobby... popcorn salty, seats are not to comfy but..... Isaac and Gustavo were great with their customer service skills, maybe the manager should take note because she never once smiled or made any interaction with customers straight caca face! So keep up the good customer service skills Isaac and Gustavo! Oh but the prices are better than most places. read more

I have been to this theatre several times and each time me and my party have noticed the only negative aspect of our experience. No issues with the theaters or the food as all theaters are pricy but it's the old bitter woman at the front door and sometimes at the snack bar. I don't know her name but I doubt she will be hard to spot. She is rude and looks so uninterested in being there. When we were at the bar she attended us and she flat out was just rushing us thru our order giving us the stink eye. I noticed this in previous visits but reserved my opinion as everyone has bad days. But clearly this woman has no place in customer service. I won't be back I would rather drive farther and pay more for a better experience. A real shame. read more

Always great prices and great movies! They have comfortable seats and the ticket prices are amazing (like I said! Prices!) I have 2 kids and the cheap prices really make a difference. I can afford the ticket and some popcorn, snack, hot dog and a drink! Just kind of hard they check your bag... I was carrying my heavy baby and had to open the diaper bag :/ not allowed to bring in ANY outside food or drinks. Kind of a bummer. Still we had a great time. Great family date! read more

My go to place when I want to treat my kids to the movies. My daughter and our really good friend were the recipient this go round. We went to see The Meg. We got there early enough to get good seats. The temp in the theatre was comfortable and so were our seats. The only downside to this theatre is that they check your purse or backpack. I can understand why, it still annoying. Other than that, the price is perfect and its a nice quick mid day get away with kids. Ps- the snack bar is pretty typical and prices range the same as most theatres. read more
