When I have a little break in between work I like to try new little places like this and The Moon did not disappoint. I felt as if I did fly to the moon once I got hit with a flavorful barrage in my taste buds. The shawarma and burger were amazing. 10/10. The middle Eastern espresso was the cherry on top that I needed to overcome my afternoon laziness and return back to work with a smile on my face. I needed coffee and a snack while running errands today and have not had good luck finding decent espresso/coffee in the area - The Moon looked new in the area but I was intrigued by their menu that has Middle Eastern/French influence. I'm so glad I stopped in today because the food was so fresh and exceptional. There's a good amount of grab and go snacks, fresh baked middle eastern pastries. The spice blend in their shawarma and burgers is note worthy and unique. Truthfully one of the best burgers I've had in LA period. I was not expecting that at all. The coffee is great, they have some fun specials that are worth a try. The cinnamon whipped honey latte is excellent, i ordered an oreo latte for my husband upon the owners recommendation. Properly pulled espresso and not overly sweet drinks, the balance was there. Loved the choice of jazz music they had playing, the ambiance is perfect for a coffee date or study session. Store and bathroom is immaculate clean. My honey coffee was really good. My friend got the Kit Kat latte. That was delish. But I'm super bummed that when I finally got to the middle of the Dubai chocolate bar their was a good 2 inches of hair stuck in between the pistachio middle. UGGGGH. I'm in hopes it's not something other than her hair and she does shower regularly. Since the shop is clean. I'm so torn that now I have to toss the rest of the bar which was NOT cheap. UGGGGGGH. What a hidden gem! I dropped in not expected much but I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

The Nutella (with strawberries and bananas) crepe was great and so was the chocolate croissant! Didn't get a picture of the croissant because my toddlers devoured it quickly! The drinks here are so good! The whipped coffee is super tasty and light while not being too sweet! The chai is fine- not my favorite but certainly not one of their specialties either. The banana pudding is super tasty! We tried a few different treats from here that were so good with the Cheese sandwich being the absolute best! It was the perfect comfort food snack. Delightful and authentic middle eastern coffee spot! The food is all handmade and you can really tell. They have everything from pastries to hummus and sandwiches, and all of it is excellent. Tastes really fresh and flavorful. Their baklava was too good to NOT eat in three perfect little bites, so it didn't make the photo hah but the cinnamon whipped honey coffee was nice and strong. I will say, the service *did* take a while because I think the owner was the only one in there making everything himself and doing orders himself too, so hopefully that changes. It made us late for our next stop which was disappointing since we paid for the food and didn't realize it would take 45 minutes to get three sandwiches. I love this place and don't know why it's not packed. All of the food is fresh and they have really cool international snacks. The second time I came I ordered an oat blueberry latte for myself and a vanilla latte for my friend I was on my way to meet. When I got in the car, I took a sip and it was the best iced latte I've ever had. My friend took a sip of hers and was like 'wow!!' And she called her husband over to try it cause it was so good. The Moon sells your standard coffees and drinks, but the real winner was the Syrian baked goods, made by the owner's wife. The owner mentioned he drew inspiration from UK where they have espresso based sodas for some of the drinks. They also have a a regular coffee/ tea menu as well, where it does not lack options. From quality Turkish coffee, to matchas that actually have stubstance!!!! This might be my fav matcha in the valley tbh. Very high quality and you can actually taste the matcha in the drinks and it's not grainy at all! The ambiance is very galactic and area is quiet enough to work or have a chat. They take time to make sure your drink is made perfectly which I loved! You can tell the owner really put his heart and soul into this cafe!!
