I hardly ever scream when visiting Dr. Robyn. Even when they bring the "Adjuster" out, I can pretty…read moremuch stifle my screams. I have been a patient of Dr. Robyn Chementi for many years, and I am pleased with the results. Yes, it sometimes does smart a bit, but it's worth it. The doctor is now practicing in a brand new facility in Danville, in the pleasant Livery Shopping Center. The office looks brand new, and it's really comfy inside. They even have free coffee in the waiting area. Besides the treatment rooms, they also have an area for massage near the back. On my most recent visit, I had very sore neck and shoulders. The doctor worked out some of the knots, then used the "stim" machine in conjunction with heating pads. "Stim" is just a nice way of saying, "Lets give you some shocks." This is perhaps my favorite part of the treatment. Working at the electric company, I naturally appreciate electrical machines like this. They put electrodes on your body. They sort of stick to you--I think that makes the shocking work better. As the doctor turns up the voltage, you can feel a little bit of tingling, but it's not too severe. You just say, "Stop," and she turns it up a little bit more, then stops. It's pretty exciting. The doctor also released the pressure in my neck and back. She sort of rolls you over and squeezes really hard. At that point, you hear some cracking noises coming from various body parts. But they're usually good cracking noises. It feels really good when it's over. Another fun device is a machine called the "Adjuster." It sounds like something parents use on misbehaving children, but no, it's actually for adjusting parts of your body. The doctor presses it against your back and hits a button. Then, it hammers you sort of like a jackhammer on a street, but not quite that hard. In the old days, it could only adjust you once, but with the electric kind you can adjust the patient a whole bunch of times, with just one button push. It's much more efficient that way. At the end of my treatment, Dr. Robyn also used a fun device called a scraper. (Well okay, that's probably not the scientific term, but it seems accurate anyway.) I thought it was made of plastic, but on a recent visit, the doctor showed it to me. It's actually thick metal. It sort of looks like brass knuckles. She rolls it along your skin digging in a little bit. It's not really as bad as it sounds, and it's very helpful. As the treatment today was proceeding, I actually felt my muscles beginning to relax. Keep in mind that treatment can be a little stressful on your body, so plan on drinking lots of water and perhaps taking a nap afterwards. Of course, I'm far too young to take naps, but you older patients might wish to do so. Seriously, I appreciate the professionalism from Dr. Robyn. Plus, she's just a flat-out nice person. I pretty much trust the doctor, but I still watch carefully when she's at the dials of that stim machine. Trust, but verify.

Last year I had a fever with a high temperature. It happened at the end of the week. At night something shifted in my hip bone area and I started feeling an annoying pain. It kept growing, and by the end of the next day I couldn't sit, stand, walk, or lie down. The pain was constant. The painkillers didn't work. Stretching didn't work. A warm, relaxing bath with salt didn't work. I was crying because it was unbearable. Somehow I made it through Thursday night, Friday, and the weekend. First thing in the morning my husband called Dr. Max to make an appointment, and thanks God he had a few openings, so I was able to come in. After a careful examination, Dr. Max made some adjustments and the pain was gone. It was like a miracle! I couldn't believe that in such a short time, the pain that had kept me from doing anything had disappeared. This is just one story about Dr. Max's work. I have many, since I've had the chance to see him whenever I needed over the past ten years. Julie is a rare professional I feel comfortable coming to no matter how I feel, even when I am exhausted and can barely speak. She provides thoughtful support and a healing massage for my joint and muscle stiffness. She uses a special machine (PEMF) that identifies which area of the body needs extra attention and shows what condition it is in. The machine sends electrical impulses that are mostly pleasant, but where there is real stiffness, it shows up and helps Julie see how the flow goes. It helped me a lot when I had an intensive period of workload and sat for 12-14 hours in a row. My body was crying. I had problems with my lower back and shoulders. The stiffness was so strong that I had pain at the end of each day, while walking, or while I was in bed turning onto one side. Gradually, through her hard work on my lower back and shoulders, the stiffness eased and the pain has gone. I appreciate that the results keep going long after I leave, lasting weeks and months. Julie helped me restore it and heal some of the areas that did not work properly for quite some time. I wish I had known earlier that I can address my condition and recover. I know that it is also helpful with some sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgeries. My mother-in-law tried it, and it helped her with an old surgery to restore more mobility in her shoulder area. Her arm now has a greater range of movement than before the massage with Julie and her machine. I would like to give a special thank you to Jayson and Julia for their excellent work with the clients at the front desk.

My daughter had been struggling for months with a growth plate stress injury in her wrist. Despite following her orthopedist's recommendation to rest it for a couple of months, she still couldn't use her wrist without pain, discomfort, and significant stiffness. While acupuncture successfully relieved her pain, her wrist and forearm remained extremely tight, limiting her movement and keeping her from returning to the activities she loves. Wanting to explore additional options, I brought her to Julie for PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy. I was hopeful, but I never expected such dramatic results. Within just two days of her first treatment, my daughter noticed a significant release in the muscles of her forearm. After only two treatments, she was using her arm freely again and was excited to return to her normal activities. Julie, thank you for introducing us to this remarkable therapeutic modality. It truly felt miraculous to see the spark return to my daughter's eyes after months of frustration. You didn't just help restore her wrist mobility and function, you gave her back her confidence in her physical abilities. I only wish I had brought her in sooner and that I had known about PEMF therapy when I was recovering from my own back injury a few years ago. I am incredibly grateful for your expertise, compassion, and willingness to think beyond conventional treatments. Like most folks, I am still weary about going to the chiropractor so I do some major due diligence and find the providers with a history of consistent 5-star ratings which brought me here! Dr. Rena Adhut is an excellent provider! I'll be headed back for my third visit today, but that first visit brought such relief. Just the spine stretchy thing and the slight manipulations were heaven. I experienced the expected soarness, but slept significantly better that evening. I've already referred this provider to a few work colleagues already too because they too could use some relief from the neck and shoulder tightness, headaches, and back pain/stiffness. I kidd you not, this was long over due and I was legit shrinking bc of my spine, so now I'm back to my full height haha! and even my sunken clavicle is almost back in it's correct place. When I was scrolling through Aimee's website, I noticed that there were options for lymphatic drainage which I was really interested in because I'm too lazy to do my lymphatic drainage yoga exercises and self massages that a quick 30 minute massage would do me good. However, I noticed that she had myofascial release massages. Normally, I get deep tissue massages and I'd like for these massages to be very firm to help take care of the knots in my back. I am very picky when it comes to massages. The best part of deep tissue massages is when a CMT can break through the facia and break apart the tension. I never had a myofascial release massage so I googled it and liked what I read. So this is a type of massage that I had today with Aimee. And what a pleasant surprise this was today! She was very thorough even though I only had an hour booked Aimee also taught me exercises that I can do throughout the day to help me with my pain. I loved how well my massage was today that I needed to buy a monthly membership which she didn't even pitch to me. I felt so great after the massage that I needed to be kneaded more! She was so good that I needed to text my best friends in the area and let them know that they need to visit her, too! I can't wait to return.
