I hardly ever scream when visiting Dr. Robyn. Even when they bring the "Adjuster" out, I can pretty much stifle my screams. I have been a patient of Dr. Robyn Chementi for many years, and I am pleased with the results. Yes, it sometimes does smart a bit, but it's worth it. The doctor is now practicing in a brand new facility in Danville, in the pleasant Livery Shopping Center. The office looks brand new, and it's really comfy inside. They even have free coffee in the waiting area. Besides the treatment rooms, they also have an area for massage near the back. On my most recent visit, I had very sore neck and shoulders. The doctor worked out some of the knots, then used the "stim" machine in conjunction with heating pads. "Stim" is just a nice way of saying, "Lets give you some shocks." This is perhaps my favorite part of the treatment. Working at the electric company, I naturally appreciate electrical machines like this. They put electrodes on your body. They sort of stick to you--I think that makes the shocking work better. As the doctor turns up the voltage, you can feel a little bit of tingling, but it's not too severe. You just say, "Stop," and she turns it up a little bit more, then stops. It's pretty exciting. The doctor also released the pressure in my neck and back. She sort of rolls you over and squeezes really hard. At that point, you hear some cracking noises coming from various body parts. But they're usually good cracking noises. It feels really good when it's over. Another fun device is a machine called the "Adjuster." It sounds like something parents use on misbehaving children, but no, it's actually for adjusting parts of your body. The doctor presses it against your back and hits a button. Then, it hammers you sort of like a jackhammer on a street, but not quite that hard. In the old days, it could only adjust you once, but with the electric kind you can adjust the patient a whole bunch of times, with just one button push. It's much more efficient that way. At the end of my treatment, Dr. Robyn also used a fun device called a scraper. (Well okay, that's probably not the scientific term, but it seems accurate anyway.) I thought it was made of plastic, but on a recent visit, the doctor showed it to me. It's actually thick metal. It sort of looks like brass knuckles. She rolls it along your skin digging in a little bit. It's not really as bad as it sounds, and it's very helpful. As the treatment today was proceeding, I actually felt my muscles beginning to relax. Keep in mind that treatment can be a little stressful on your body, so plan on drinking lots of water and perhaps taking a nap afterwards. Of course, I'm far too young to take naps, but you older patients might wish to do so. Seriously, I appreciate the professionalism from Dr. Robyn. Plus, she's just a flat-out nice person. I pretty much trust the doctor, but I still watch carefully when she's at the dials of that stim machine. Trust, but verify. read more

Sycamore Valley Chiropractic is amazing and Dr. Rena Ahdut is phenomenal! My previous chiropractor moved out of the area which meant that I was on a hunt to find a new chiropractor. I interviewed quite a few in Danville to see if any would be a good fit for myself and my body's needs and Dr. Rena was my choice--hands down. Personally, I am not a big fan of "traditional" chiropractic care with the manual manipulation of "cracking". I lead an active lifestyle and have minor disc degeneration which requires chiropractic care about every other week. Dr. Zamora helped me out drastically. I came in with a sports injury and we found out it was a slight herniated Lumbar in my spine. I could hardly walk let alone bend or breathe. I wouldn't say I was fully cured upon the 1st visit. However I noticed my condition improved after each time. Within a few weeks I felt back to normal again. I've been to 3 Chiropractors in my life, but my favorite by far is Dr. Jesse Call. I went to see him at the urging of my son in law and both of my daughters. Now he treats our entire family and we all love him. I have a soft spot in my heart for Dr. Jesse because when I first saw him it was after a pretty big physical trauma and he listened to me with his whole heart and remembered what I told him (he has a great memory) He is so very kind and gentle, never hurts me but ALWAYS helps me. I have been seeing Dr. Rena Ahdut for the past 5 weeks for my chronic migraines & I have seen a huge improvement. Past chiropractic care has felt impersonal & Dr. Rena made this experience feel like someone cared for my health. She was able to put me on a plan that made sense both physically & financially. The rest of the staff has been great as well; from my second visit on they knew my name & greet me with me a smile! Especially with everything going on during this crazy time (masks, temperature taking...) it is nice to see smiles through the masks & conversations about the happier things in life. I wanted to write my review as a thank you to Dr. Zamora. I have been seeing him for a year and a half now, and I initially came to him for chronic anxiety, headaches/migraines, jaw pain, neck pain back pain, and almost everything wrong with my body. I previously did competitive dancing, heavy lifting from old jobs and now constantly sitting at my desk for work from home. I almost never stretched and was very poor on myself not realizing what I was doing, wasn't the healthiest direction. My sessions began from twice a week to now once every 3 weeks. The progress I have seen: I no longer have severe headaches, I'm in less pain in my back, my jaw hasn't locked since, and I'm just more comfortable moving without feeling like I need to lay down and take a pain med. I can't put all the honor into just adjustment on my body. Dr. Zamora has been excellent in guiding me to a healthier lifestyle by stretching and reminding me I need to breathe and let my body relax and not add so much strain to myself. He has been on top of my care and helped me so much. During the time he was away, my care was transferred to Dr. Fuller. She is so sweet and although I only had a few sessions with her before Dr. Z came back, she was able to continue my usual adjustments and kept me on track with where I was having pain or discomfort. I think chiropractic work has changed me a lot, and it sounds a bit exaggerated but I am just relieved that I do not suffer migraines and anxiety the way I used to. I attended a very enlightening and educational presentation about digital dementia, given by Dr. Jesse. My teenage daughter has since become a patient of his, and is being treated for her scoliosis. I am so impressed with Dr. Jesse's knowledge, technique, enthusiasm, commitment, compassion and ability to engage with a moody teen. ;-) I've spoken with a few Orthopedic surgeons in the past that discouraged me from seeking chiropractic treatment for scoliosis. While it may not be for everyone, we are finding it to be extremely beneficial. We are trying to avoid surgery at all costs, and the progress that we're seeing as a result of her treatment plan is leaving us very hopeful and optimistic. I've been seeing Dr. Kelly for about 6 years for various back issues and sciatica pain. Most recently she has helped me to get on a vitamin regimen to help get my Cortisol levels under control. I always leave feeling like a new person. She listens to me and asks questions to provide me with the best treatment each visit. Within the last 6 months I have started to bring my girls in to see Dr. Kelly for sports injuries and due to a car accident. She was able to get my youngest back into alignment within a few visits and provided her with stretching tips. To say that my teenage daughters love Dr. Kelly would be a huge understatement!! I've been waiting to provide feedback until I felt like I've gone enough times to have something worthwhile to say. My experience has been amazing. Jesse is my chiropractor, but I really feel welcomed from the moment I walk in to the moment I leave. Every single person in that office is ready to help, which is so refreshing because let's face it - life is hard and it's not easy keeping a smile on our faces all day. Despite all of that, the staff there are always smiling, and always helpful. A few specifics: I've gone to about 5 different chiropractors, including Jesse. I've had neck and back issues for years (since I was 13, I'm now 34). I was never able to really get in physical shape because my body couldn't keep up with the stress I would put it through to get in good shape. I could run and do light exercises for months, but eventually something will give. When I tried Cross Fit, I lasted 2 months before injuring my back. I started going to the gym on my own and would often injure my neck or back. With Doctor Jesse, I've not only been on a path to getting in better shape, but I'm literally stronger than I have ever been in my life. I'm lifting significantly more weight, and my body is not breaking down, it's keeping up the way a 34 year old's body should. When I started with Jesse, I admit I may have come off a bit demanding, but I was tired of seeing no results from chiropractors in the past. I told him that I wanted an X-Ray and an analysis of that. I also wanted a plan to help get my body back on track. I repeated that I didn't just want to hear, "Okay let's start seeing you twice a week and go from there." No, I wanted a detailed plan. He has been amazing, in his super casual/laid back kind of way. He not only provides the right adjustments and care, but also the right advice. Of course, the key is listening to that advice - and I have. Thank you Jesse of allowing me to get to do what I've never been able to do. I started going about three times per week, then we moved to twice a week, and we recently moved to once per week. For the first time in my life, I can honestly see myself going once a month - because I believe my body is getting to a point where it can hold it together. Lastly the staff, the 2-3 ladies who usually attend to me after my adjustment. I can't remember their names, but they went above and beyond. One of the treatments I get after my adjustment is the neck tract (it's like a medieval extension of the neck...it's very cool and feels amazing). They have two of those contraptions, and one was taken, so they pulled out an older one they had as a back up. I told the young lady that I really liked how that one felt over the new device and she said she'd make a note so that they use that one for me in the future. I thought, "This is the nice stuff people say but don't usually follow through." I honestly didn't expect anyone to follow through with that request, and I wouldn't have been upset if they didn't. To my surprise the next visit, the woman says to me, "Okay let me pull out the older model out since I know you liked that one better." I was surprised and so grateful. They listened. All this to say, this has been an amazing experience so far. Thank you to everyone for doing your part well. When you do your part well, it makes it seem as though everyone is working together. I look forward to continue seeing Dr. Jesse for a while longer - hopefully I won't need to go as often, but it is worth the visit because I know I'm walking out with results. read more

Dr. Greg Call is he best chiropractor I have worked with anywhere. Over the last 15 years he has effectively treated me for slipped disks after weightlifting, dislocated ribs after injury, and misaligned shoulders and back due to muscle spasms. He knows exactly what is the cause is and how to correct whatever I manage to do to my skeleton. I have tried other Chiros and found that they cannot get my skeleton to pop back into place and realign itself like he can. He is also great for consultations about other health issues, and referrals to the right high quality medical professionals and doctors in the community. Do yourself a favor and see Dr. Greg before you consider surgery ... just to discuss alternatives and measure the consequences. read more

I've never been to a chiropractor before but my doula (see Divine Journey review) recommended that I see Dr. Melissa Ko here since she is certified in managing pregnant women. I forget what the name of the training is but either way, Dr. Ko works here Tuesdays and Thursdays and in South Bay on other days. She is warm and friendly and knowledgeable! The main reason I was referred to see her is because at 38 weeks my baby looked to be sunny side up on ultrasound and we wanted to see if I could make sure my spinal and hip alignment were not affecting how the baby could turn and come out during birth. We wanted to make sure everything was open and the joints were properly aligned. I'm not sure if two sessions with Melissa was what helped but baby ended up coming out OP (the correct position)! Either way she opened my eyes to how chiropractic medicine could be helpful and she was very professional and thorough with follow up and emails to me! The office staff is also very friendly and easy to work with and schedule appointments. They can easily print a superbill with all the correct information you may need to submit for supplemental insurance claims in an easy, neat, organized sheet. Price wise it is a little higher than another place I ended up checking out too but I feel the professionalism and ease to work with the staff was worth the money. If I ever need a chiropractor in the future, I'll come back here! read more

I used to visit Dr. Cassie for months, and I thought she was wonderful. I was super sad when she left last year. Then, I was transferred to Dr. Shanda, and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Shanda is able to find all the little things that are wrong with me to help figure out how to fix me as a whole. I have recommended Dr. Shanda to several people. Also, I think I should mention the customer appreciation days where they make the best treats for us, and decorate the office for party mode. I love all of the staff, too. This place is the best. I went to see Dr. Shanda Fuller for the first time. Her chiropractic treatment was excellent. She was easy to talk to and listened carefully to my concerns. HOWEVER, when I asked, she told me she had chosen not to be vaccinated for Covid. While she has that right, I feel I have the right to be treated by someone who is Covid-safe. Further, I do not feel I can fully trust her medical judgement. I also question the judgement of the practice that would allow someone who is not fully vaccinated to work so closely with patients. read more

I have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and as a result I often get tension headaches. When I started going to Robyn Chementi I was amazed at the results. The reoccurring headaches left. I have been going to her for about 2 years now. She takes the time to remember what my specific issues are, and carefully treats each one, modifying her approach as necessary- for the visits I'm super tight.
