First I'd like to preface this review with a disclaimer: I do not believe in the pseudoscience of chiropractors. It is a well known fact amongst the healthcare community that chiropractors perpetuate a lot of false information. With that being said I still like to get an adjustment from time to time. I enjoy the temporary relief it offers. Which for the most part getting cracked offers TEMPORARY relief. I took advantage of their $29 first time adjustment. I was sorely disappointed. There was zero cracks. Every single crack was done through a drop table. There was no relief. This is opposite to what I've had in the past. My preferred form of adjustment is manual with hands and no presence of a dropping table. In my opinion the drop table was lazy. It provided no relief. The only time I got a "manual" crack was my shoulders and below my neck. Felt like a waste of money. read more

I really, really, really wanted to like this place. I also thought long and hard about writing a review - after all, so many people rated this so highly!Unfortunately, here I am. My first interaction should have been a red flag when Dr M told me on the phone she was way better at treating TMJ than her colleagues. During my first adjustment she did take the time to listen but when I went in for my jaw, she somehow thought she needed to adjust my elbows and she ended up spraining one. Every time I go in, it's more for the elbow and inability to pick things up. While she has tried to fix it, I'm still in daily pain. She never once apologized - her response: "well, everyone is different."I specifically remember there being 3 people in the waiting room. My guess was that she was trying to get me out of there so she could hit some time limit or number of customers adjusted KPI/metric. While she was on vacation, an extremely nice chiropractor took the time to care for me and I walked out feeling great. Unfortunately this is not the quality of care that you get at The Joint on a regular basis. You basically feel like you're on a timed conveyor belt and they don't even remember what your main issue is. They just adjust you and definitely aren't looking at a patient chart or historical adjustments. When I went back in, it was the same 4-5 minute in and out adjustment with literally 30 seconds spent on my original concern, my jaw. And another 30 seconds on my elbow. If you're looking for like a quick crack and general good feeling, this could work for you -- but for me, I'll be going to someone else who is there for outcomes, not just to get as many patients in and out. read more

Got my first chiropractic adjustment from Dr. Malena. I had trepidations as I was already seeing a PT for my shoulder and knee pain which were persistent and worrisome. I don't leave a lot of reviews, but I had to leave one for this place. As a professional athlete, recovery is super important to me so I go for readjustments at least once a week. I decided to try Danville's location and this was hands down the worst readjustment and service I've ever had. First off, I've never been giving a readjustment while a whole other family is back there being talked to and watching me be adjusted. Secondly the quality of the adjustment was awful. In all my years of getting an adjustment, I've never been rushed out and finished in less than 5 minutes. My lower back was never cracked or adjusted, my middle back and neck were barely cracked and adjusted, and then she lightly pushes on my shoulders. That was the whole experience. Took less than 5 minutes to treat me, and left me feeling the same as I did when I walked in. All in all do not go here. When I called to complain, all I got was "thanks for the feedback". I had to push for a refund and even then I was told they needed to talk to the franchisee. Do not go here, they'll steal your money and give you less than adequate service. read more

I have been a huge fan of chiropractic care after I was hit by a car and fractured a vertebrae. I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff and there was a sense of divine hope. You will know this after years of chronic pain makes your intuitive senses heightened. Dr Kaufman is not only a great listener but an intuitive person and her knowledge on chiropractic care combined with her functional medicine wisdom gives her a profound insight on human anatomy and consciousness. Last week, I sat up and my hip was locked in place and it became very hard to walk. It became very painful to even stand straight. I knew I needed to see a chiropractor or anybody who could stop the pain because this was ridiculous. I found Dr Kaufman online and she was available to see me as they are a walk-in clinic that doesn't take insurance which is what I needed since I use Kaiser. When I arrived, I met Susan and she was so helpful and sweet and just a genuinely nice person. I found out that she was a patient of Dr Kaufman who decided to work for her. That was a great piece of information to learn since you know that the doctor is somebody that you would want to work with on a daily basis. When I saw Dr Kaufman, she found out that my hips were locked in three places and she was able to unlock me and informed me that because of the prolactin in my body at this point of my pregnancy, it will take a few days for my body to recuperate from the lock up. She also found a few ribs out of place and aligned me so that I can breathe better. Once I left the office, I was able to walk better without wincing in pain for every step. I took it easy that night, and the next morning I woke up and was able to walk like a normal person again. Dr Kaufman is like magic. And I can't wait to see her every 3 days until my due date. I really wish I knew the benefits of going to a good chiropractor during pregnancy because I could have used Dr Kaufman's help this whole time and I didn't even know. read more
