If I could give a million stars I would! We were referred to Dr.Ko after finding out our baby had a tongue tie at 2 months. We started with a chiropractor in Walnut Creek who way oversold to us after seeing 2-3 times a week for a month wanted us to go to physical therapy because we were having no progress. The first visit with Dr.Ko I could tell the difference in experiences and care we were going to get! My son was very tight on one side leaving him curved to one side and limited mobility to turning his neck to both sides. We also suffered a bunch with gas pain. Dr.Ko was amazing with my son. Within the first appointment we noticed results. After his first appointment he had more mobility in his neck and also in the curvature of his muscles in his spine. My son loves Dr.Ko! We continued to see Dr.Ko after his tongue tie release anytime we noticed anything out of the norm and could always see results! We will continue to see her as long as she's in practice! Dr. Ko is sincerely one of the best providers I have ever met in the healthcare industry. TLDR; There is always a price to pay. If you choose to go the cheaper, more affordable route, you will end up paying more to compensate for the lack of quality. So it is BEST to choose to INVEST -- her prices doesn't even amount to the level of service and quality you will receive which is the absolute best. Third child-- I am not new to the industry or parenting world and each child had tongue/oral ties. As a parent dealing with this, it is emotional and taxing. I wasn't very informed with my first, became more informed with my second and with my third, decided it was best to invest for peace of mind. Pre and post body work is KEY to a successful release. Already with my third, we have had a faster healing process. Dr. Ko is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. My daughter is incredibly different compared to my two boys and it brings me to tears because I wish I had seen her sooner. She goes above and beyond any provider-- she is resourceful and even sends follow up texts to check on you. And how beautiful is it that although I came for my daughter, she has experience with prenatal and postnatal women and ended up servicing me as well and recommending me to a provider to help with my diastasis. We need more holistic providers like herself who genuinely cares for her patients and their families. Dr. Ko is the best! I started seeing her during my second pregnancy when I was having shoulder pain. After coming in, I realized she was going to help me with more than just my shoulder but the rest of my pregnancy. I was hoping for a VBAC and she helped give me tools and exercises to make it the most successful and positive experience it could be. She has also been helping me postpartum feel like myself again. I would recommend her to anyone who is pregnant or postpartum. What's even better is she started caring for my baby after he was born. She helped me and him when he had a tongue tie release and has helped release tension throughout his first year of life. We both love going to see her. Dr. Ko is amazing! I started seeing her postpartum with my first baby and continued to see her during my second pregnancy. I experienced a lot of back pain my first pregnancy but with the help of Dr. Ko had no back pain my second time around. I also brought my 1.5 year old son to see her for an evaluation, just to make sure everything was aligned. She was able to keep him calm and entertained the whole appointment! Love Dr Ko! My baby was having trouble sleeping and I had read that chiropractic care could help! Even before we met her for our first appointment I was impressed. Upon booking, I was told to ensure I plan for at least an hour for my appointment, as Dr Ko likes to have a thorough evaluation and understanding of patients she works with. When we arrived, she took the time to sit with my baby and make him feel comfortable, and then was extremely informative and attentive with us both while we were there. I learned quite a bit from her in just our initial consultation. She really took the time to understand my entire birth experience (pre, during and post) and then my baby's "story" and his experiences with sleeping, napping, and milestones he's hit already etc. My son was very calm, and most of the time didn't even realize Dr Ko was doing an evaluation and making soft adjustments. I took him several times after that until we both felt as though he was making progress and didn't need consistent adjustments anymore. That was another bonus as she didn't insist on us continuing to come back "just because" but rather was straight forward and honest about our time (and money) spent on his care. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ko. I started seeing her in the 7th month of a very painful pregnancy. I have severe pelvic pain, so bad that I couldn't walk, sit, or turnover without discomfort. Dr. Ko did her magic and to her credit, i was able to manage the pain through the rest of my pregnancy. I don't know what I would have done without her. If you are suffering, please go see her. Had I not gone, I would have had a terrible 3rd trimester and delivery. Dr. Ko was an invaluable member of my pregnancy team and continues to be an important partner in my postpartum recovery. I started seeing her early on in my pregnancy as I was having some lower back pain when I was doing strength training and on daily walks with my dog. I had actually never been to a chiropractor at all prior to meeting with Dr. Ko. I had no idea what I was missing! Not only does she always take the time to educate me on what is going on with my body both from a chiropractic/scientific/medical standpoint, she also always explains what is going on with my body in ways that I can understand and relate to being a first time mom, fellow mommy, very active mommy etc which I appreciate very much. With all of the changes my body was going through and the relaxin affecting my joints and stability, I am so thankful to have had Dr. Ko to keep me aligned, educated and set me up to deliver my baby successfully and smoothly without intervention. This review is very long overdue, but much needed. I originally saw Dr Ko about a year or so ago and was referred to her from my husband who suffers from back & shoulder issues. He knew I was very nervous about seeing a chiropractor (the back cracking makes me apprehensive), but she was amazing. She listened to the issues that I was having , understood my apprehension to the "traditional" methods you think of and customized her techniques to fit my needs and comfort level. Fast-forward to September 2020 and being 30+ weeks pregnant, I went back into to see Dr Ko with a whole new set of "issues". Being 30+ weeks pregnant, I experienced all kinds of new swelling, tightness, inflammation, and many other things that come along with 3rd trimester pregnancy. Each time I came into the office, she spent extra care and time working with me to help alleviate any discomfort she could as well as educate me on things I could do at home. I already knew how amazing she was with the care and time she took for myself and my husband since our very first visits with her. I went to Dr Ko around 14 weeks pregnant to help me as my knee was out of alignment due to the surge of relaxin. I continued to see her every two weeks and looked forward to every appointment. She was so helpful keeping my body in good alignment throughout pregnancy. She also was a wonderful resource for referrals of specialists. I was seeing her weekly at 35 weeks and she was able to help me flip and get my baby head down. I was fearful about labor and delivery having had a terrible time with my first. She helped me center myself and believe in my body. I ended up having a 2 hour labor and only pushed for 5 minutes... no time for epidural but I will take it. I am still seeing Dr Ko for postpartum care and feel waaaay better this time around. She has also helped my baby who was tight on one side making breast feeding harder. After unsuccessfully breast feeding my first I am successfully breast feeding this baby! I will probably go see Dr Ko forever! read more

I was immediately impressed with her level of care, knowledge, and thorough description of what was going on with my body and what she was doing to help it. Since that time, she has become a trusted practitioner that I see for any musculoskeletal pain (hips, low back, headaches, you name it)! I have also taken my daughters to her for standard checks and adjustments, as well as for various tweaks and sprains to ankles and knees. Dr. Ko has been so helpful to me in my recovery from a knee injury. She is very skilled in helping people who suffer with chronic pain. When I first saw Dr. Ko she recommend I follow an anti-inflammatory diet to help with my healing. She gave me recommendations of how to eat to help my body heal and to keep my pain down. Furthermore, she took time at each appointment to assess my pain level and check in with me about how my body was feeling overall. Dr. Ko is very thorough with her treatments and I never felt like she was rushed or that I was just another patient to her. After my visits I would receive additional treatment in the therapy room to help with my pain (with no additional charge)! I came to Dr. Ko when I was having two separate problems, with my shoulder and my lower back. Multiple medical doctors at Kaiser and another chiropractor who I trust and respect were unable to diagnose any problems or give me any relief. Within weeks, Dr. Ko had diagnosed and solved the shoulder issue. After trying a few things that no other doctors had suggested to me, she finally diagnosed the (incurable) lower back problem so that I can at least take steps toward managing it and keeping it pain-free. Her expertise goes beyond just working on the spine, as she also helps with muscle balancing -- the thing that it turned out I needed. Dr. Melissa Ko and her staff are so welcoming. The staff were well prepared with my appointment, I assume, because they welcomed me by my name. This was my first visit and I was scheduled for a physical. Not to mention I didn't have to sit and wait, Dr. Ko called me back right on time. She was able to point out such as my hips that were tighter than average and two bones in my neck that had shifted. She quickly informed me this wasn't too serious and what we would do to fix it. I've had horrible migraines in the past(most of my life) and this could've been one of the main causes. While being evaluated Dr. Ko was professional and very knowledgable. She was honest with her findings and didn't sugarcoat what was going on. At the same time she was compassionate and put my mind at ease. Since my initial visit I see Dr. Ko every two weeks and I've built a trusting relationship with her and would recommend her to anyone. A few days ago my mother was concerned about a sharp pain in her foot. I contacted Dr. Ko right away for any advice based on my mothers symptoms. She got back to me within a few hours with a possible diagnosis which she deals with often, plantar fasciitis. She sent me a video and also recommended a product that would help with stretching and she even provided a link to purchase this right away. I am SO grateful to have Dr. Melissa Ko right here in Danville! She has helped me out so much. Whether it be a twisted ankle, sprain, pulled back, whiplash or migraine, she always helps me feel so much better - FAST. My recovery time is significantly lessened if I get in to see her and let her work her amazing skills on me. She has worked with me steadily on unwinding a chronic neck issue and even just helped me get fit for the appropriate orthotics by testing different samples and which ones strengthened or weakened my body. Dr. Ko is amazing! I contacted her about 3 years ago when I read an article she wrote about a foot ailment and she described the very symptoms I was having with my foot. We have since worked on other body parts since everything is connected. She's extremely knowledgable and has the best patient follow through of any doctor I've known. Got a great price from Dr. Melissa Ko. I wasn't sure how much she could do, but I had an Achilles' tendon tear a couple years ago and needed some work done. She did a full head to toe exam and found lots of problem areas. She did adjustments on my feet, legs, and spine, which were all kind of scary but felt great. I was sore for the next couple days but felt more energetic and spry afterwords. Adjustments plus physical therapy helped me run my fastest two mile time ever (and this is at age 30). I cannot recommend Dr. Ko highly enough! She is always optimistic and great at explaining exactly what she is doing. Go see her, especially if you've had a sports injury. read more
