I am a yoga teacher and am aware of taking care of my body but I have the type of musculature & connective tissue that benefits from chiropractic tune-ups. i've come here once/month or weekly if I have a flare-up. i'm trying to come in more frequently as a preventative measure, when i am out of alignment and in pain it can disrupt my work and daily activities. I've never felt any sales pressure to buy a package or keep coming back, unless it's recommended for my bpdy or they're just letting me know about an option to save money. INSURANCE: i appreciate they take my insurance. TIP: if you're paying out of pocket get a discounted prepay package and ask if they're offering any black friday or new patient specials. i don't know if they still are on groupon but that's where I initially found Dr Babcock. TIP: take advantage of the 9-minute stim treatment, with heat or ice, before or after your adjustment. if i'm really tight i'll do stim beforehand to get a better adjustment. no one asked me to write this. this review is 100% coming from me. 60 years old. Last year I had a fever with a high temperature. It happened at the end of the week. At night something shifted in my hip bone area and I started feeling an annoying pain. It kept growing, and by the end of the next day I couldn't sit, stand, walk, or lie down. The pain was constant. The painkillers didn't work. Stretching didn't work. A warm, relaxing bath with salt didn't work. I was crying because it was unbearable. Somehow I made it through Thursday night, Friday, and the weekend. First thing in the morning my husband called Dr. Max to make an appointment, and thanks God he had a few openings, so I was able to come in. After a careful examination, Dr. Max made some adjustments and the pain was gone. It was like a miracle! I couldn't believe that in such a short time, the pain that had kept me from doing anything had disappeared. This is just one story about Dr. Max's work. I have many, since I've had the chance to see him whenever I needed over the past ten years. Julie is a rare professional I feel comfortable coming to no matter how I feel, even when I am exhausted and can barely speak. She provides thoughtful support and a healing massage for my joint and muscle stiffness. She uses a special machine (PEMF) that identifies which area of the body needs extra attention and shows what condition it is in. The machine sends electrical impulses that are mostly pleasant, but where there is real stiffness, it shows up and helps Julie see how the flow goes. After booking consistent sessions with Bridget, including multiple visits per week (sometimes even twice a day), my body felt more connected, and I was quickly getting back to peak performance. When I injured my lower back from a deadlift just two weeks before the race, her treatments were key in helping me recover in time. I also really appreciate her flexibility with scheduling. Bridget is incredibly responsive, always quick to reply to texts, and I love that she offers appointments on Sundays, which makes things so much more convenient.
