I didn't have a lot of eggs, so I had to undergo several retrievals. As I got older, the quality of my eggs also declined. At my last retrieval, when I was 40, Dr. Aimee recommended trying PRP. She was very honest with me that it was a newer procedure, but that the results were promising. I ended up retrieving just two eggs. We created embryos, and incredibly, we ended up with one healthy baby boy and one healthy baby girl. Our son--the little boy my husband had always hoped for--came from one of those eggs I retrieved at age 40. With Dr. Aimee's help, I became pregnant through IVF, and we welcomed our beautiful son, who is now 2 1/2 years old. When we decided we wanted a second child, my previous delivery had been difficult, so we made the decision to use a surrogate. Once again, Dr. Aimee was there for us every step of the way. She connected me with multiple agencies, and I didn't have to wait long before finding an amazing surrogate who had been screened by Dr. Aimee. She was local, which meant I was able to be part of the pregnancy and birth journey in a way that was incredibly special to me. I also had a difficult time finding an in-network doctor we felt comfortable with, and Dr. Aimee personally recommended someone and helped make the connection. She went above and beyond--not just as our fertility doctor, but as someone who genuinely cared about helping us complete our family. Our healthy baby girl was just born, and she is absolutely perfect. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Aimee and her amazing team for everything they have done for our family over the past 10 years. They have been there for us through every stage of this journey, and I truly don't know what our family would look like without them. My husband jokes that if Dr. Aimee told me to jump off a bridge, I probably would. And honestly, he's right. That's how much I trust her. She is kind, compassionate, brilliant, honest, and direct. She always has her patients' best interests at heart and works tirelessly to help them achieve their dreams of building a family. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Aimee for helping us bring our two beautiful children into the world. She didn't just help us have babies--she helped us complete our family. I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough.

After many years, my husband and I decided to try again. This time, we went through his insurance. We had such a horrible experience with the other clinic, we moved our leftover embryos back with Dr. Aimee. She gladly accepted to help us with our second. I cannot praise Dr. Aimee enough! She is a literal angel on earth. The reason we went to Dr. Aimee for our first son was because we didn't want to be treated like another number on a conveyor belt and she did not disappoint. Dr. Aimee goes above and beyond what anyone could ever expect as a patient. She has amazing bedside manners, she's hilarious and she answers any and all questions very thoroughly - I always wonder how she sleeps. If results didn't go our way, she showed us so much compassion. We never felt like another number/statistic and that's more than you can ever ask for while going through the stress of IVF. She might not take insurance, but you definitely get what you pay for. I've been with her for 2 retrievals, 6 years apart resulting in my 2 beautiful babies. We cannot thank Dr. Aimee enough! I've seen her practice expand and it's exciting to see how many more people she's able to help. Her team is AMAZING, warm and comforting. They communicate and troubleshoot issues efficiently and effectively. I never had any surprises with procedures or billing. We would recommend her a million times over because she is such a gem in Healthcare and an amazing human being. Thank you Dr. Aimee for helping us expand our family two times!! I absolutely loved Dr. Fischer and his team. Long story short we considered fertility preservation…read moreas I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I met with MULTIPLE REs and basically interviewed them to see why I should continue with fertility and why I should pick them. I was clear from the start that I wasn't sure if I wanted to harvest eggs and create embryos. I never had the NEED that some women have when it comes to being a mom and I didn't want to go through this process if my chances for success aren't likely. I said I would like my doctor to be very up front and tell me if it looks like it will happen or not. Dr Fischer met with us multiple times before hand and was very informative, he gave me options that others didn't but most importantly he listened to my concerns and was honest in his opinions. Although my surgeon was able to get all the cancer out we were still going to proceed with the protocol for cancer patients. Since I was still apprehensive about having kids at all, on the morning I was supposed to start injections I made my final decision to not pursue IVF. The process isn't easy and since I'm still recovering from surgery I didn't see the value in doing this for the potential for 0-1 embryo. It isn't important enough for me to do IVF and try for nothing. If I would end up with 2 or 3 embryos I would have done it but not for less. Again he was very supportive and said if I wanted to try later I can since I won't be doing chemo and in a year my fertility won't drastically change. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this team and if I decided to try I would use them.

RMA was recommended to us by a friend, and after reading every glowing review and doing some research of our own, we decided to save up and schedule our initial appointment. Unfortunately, RMA did not accept our insurance, so we called ahead to confirm exactly how much the appointment would cost out of pocket and what would be included. During our visit, the entire team was friendly and kind--which we appreciated. However, in this industry, it takes much more than friendly staff. Our concerns stem from two major issues. First, they were unable to draw blood during our very first visit. This was a big red flag, as bloodwork is an essential and recurring part of the fertility process. Second, we encountered unexpected hidden fees. While we were told blood would be drawn in-house, we were not made aware that it would be sent to a third party, resulting in a significant additional cost. After two years of trying on our own, we put a lot of time and hope into finding the right clinic to guide us through this emotional, sensitive, and expensive journey. Instead, we left feeling overwhelmed and without the clarity we were hoping for. **I Expected Better from a Fertility Clinic**…read more I never imagined that one of the most exhausting parts of my infertility journey would be trying to get appointments and clear answers from the fertility clinic that was supposed to be helping me. After more than two years of trying to conceive, I turned to Kaiser Reproductive Health hoping to finally make progress toward starting a family. Instead, I've spent months dealing with scheduling difficulties, inconsistent information, and an overwhelming feeling that my concerns are not being taken seriously. My frustrations began with poor communication surrounding my HSG procedure and continued with long wait times for additional testing. I was even given the impression that the expansion of IVF coverage through Kaiser was contributing to the difficulty of securing appointments. While I'm happy more people have access to fertility treatment, patients who have already been waiting deserve timely care too. As I was preparing for my first scheduled saline sonogram, I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant. It was my first pregnancy ever, and after years of infertility, I cannot describe how happy and hopeful my husband and I were. For a brief moment, all the appointments, uncertainty, and disappointment felt like they might finally be behind us. Sadly, I experienced a missed miscarriage. Going through that loss was devastating. When I returned to fertility treatment, I hoped there would be some understanding of how emotionally difficult it was to start this process again. Instead, I found myself right back where I started, struggling to schedule a saline sonogram. Over three menstrual cycles, excluding my pregnancy, I was unable to complete this procedure. I was told appointments were unavailable, later informed that taking birth control would have made scheduling easier, and eventually given additional explanations involving my hCG levels after my miscarriage. I understand that medical precautions are important. What I don't understand is why the expectations and explanations seem to change depending on whom I speak with, or why these requirements weren't clearly communicated from the beginning. What has upset me most isn't even the scheduling itself. It's the way my concerns have been handled. When I tried to explain the repeated difficulties, I felt as though the department was more interested in reviewing what I supposedly should have done differently than acknowledging that its processes might need improvement. At one point, after expressing how much this experience had damaged my confidence in their care, I was simply asked whether I still wanted to proceed with IVF at Kaiser. That response was incredibly discouraging. I wasn't asking anyone to convince me to stay. I was asking them to listen and recognize that something about this experience needed to change. To make matters worse, I contacted another fertility clinic and was able to schedule the same procedure without difficulty. In a matter of weeks, I felt I had made more progress than I had in almost a year with Kaiser. I recognize that fertility clinics are busy and that not every scheduling problem can be avoided. I also understand that medical requirements may change following a miscarriage. But patients deserve clear explanations, consistent information, and genuine compassion when things don't go as planned. Infertility has already taken so much emotional energy from me. I shouldn't have to spend what little energy I have left repeatedly defending my concerns or fighting to move my treatment forward. I'm not writing this review because I expect special treatment or because I believe every staff member has bad intentions. I'm writing it because I worry about how many other patients might be experiencing the same difficulties without feeling comfortable speaking up. People seeking fertility treatment are often carrying years of disappointment, grief, uncertainty, and hope. The last thing they need is to feel dismissed by the people they're trusting with their care. I genuinely hope Kaiser Reproductive Health takes patient feedback seriously and works toward improving its communication, scheduling, and accountability. No one going through infertility or pregnancy loss should feel this unsupported while trying to build a family.

When needed, she's connected me with other specialists and helped me build the right team so I could make informed decisions with confidence. I've sought information through various third-party women's health companies, but none have come close to the depth, thoughtfulness, and individualized care that Dr. Prabakar provides. I'm learning that HRT is rarely straightforward, and what will set her apart is how carefully she reviews my history, symptoms, and bloodwork before making recommendations. In my opinion obstetrics is probably the most important field in woman's health. It's taken me over one year and a lot of courage to write this review but I feel like what I went through should be shared so that other women deciding on their OBGYN will not have the same result. BED SIDE MANNER I initially wanted to have Dr. Jeffrey-Starr as my OBGYN because of her rave reviews from my neighbor who had a very positive experience with her after a bad experience with her first child. When I first met with Dr. Starr she confronted me with rude comments like why have you seen so many doctors? What is wrong with you? I had seen many doctors due to my endometriosis, it went undiagnosed initially by Dr. Pham who is also at that practice, but later Dr. Beatty (the only doctor I can recommend at that practice) ordered the necessary tests to be able to diagnose it. Every time I asked her questions about my pregnancy she dismissed me as if I was hyper concerned. I thought maybe I was being irrational, given she's done this a thousand times and I have only been pregnant once. She was always in and out of the room after about 5-10 minutes. She would appear visibly annoyed when I asked if I could facetime my husband for the appointment (as this was during the height of COVID) or if I asked if I could go through my list of questions (i.e., is this normal in pregnancy type Qs?) OFFICE FUNCTIONALITY I saw Dr. Starr once every third appointment. She never responded to a single inquiry I had through the online portal, instead it was her office staff who took anywhere from 3-8 days. Her NP would frequently say "that's a Q for Dr. Starr," in which I would never receive any follow through on whether the Q was relayed to her. I consistently waited in the office for my appointment anywhere between 1-2 hours. This is tough for a pregnant woman who is also working. DIAGNOSIS/CARE Because of our infrequency in communication, I didn't really feel like Dr. Starr was my doctor. My saving grace was a family friend who was an OBGYN. I could call her and ask her about symptoms I was having and she would tell me whether they were concerning or not. When she said they were concerning, I went to the ER and got the necessary blood work done. I did end up getting contractions early on and had some symptoms consistent with liver issues (all of these things went undiagnosed) and didn't seem concerning to Dr. Starr. When I was admitted to the hospital due to high blood pressure, I was there for 7 days. The first 72 hours I was induced, on a high amount of pitocin, on an epidural for 4 days, several cervical exams, a serious of high fevers, and very low over sight from Dr. Starr. I had asked Dr. Starr if we should go through a birth plan together, prior to me going to the hospital and she said no. At the hospital, I saw 5 other OBs at the hospital and there was no consistency of care. Finally, I requested a C section after having a very high fever of 102 and my blood pressure shooting up to the 170s. The C section was performed quickly but there was a lot of bickering on the other side of the curtain (overall it seemed like the care team wasn't functioning well together). In the recovery room, I went into septic shock, the rapid response team was called and was transferred to the ICU where my life was literally being saved. There were probably 20-30 different medical professionals buzzing around me, and I didn't see my baby for 3 days after he was born. AFTER CARE Dr. Starr visited me once when I was in the ICU to take my bandages off. I couldn't get an appointment with her for my 6 week post op apt. A different OB said my scar tissue indicates the surgery wasn't performed skillfully. Overall I would not recommend Dr. Starr and actually feel obligated to warn others because the result of having her as your doctor could be fatal.
