Enough to convince someone who is scared of needles but interested in the results, to try it. Hopeful for relief from current ailments, I booked an appointment for a 90 min. consultation + chiro and acupuncture session. In the notes I communicated that I am scared of needles, the doctor quickly cancelled my appointment within the same day. She did refer me to another business, but can't find them onyelp ... they only have a Facebook profile for their business. It seems as though Dr. Katie isn't interested in first timers that may be scared and require adjustments or more attention. Thankful for the quick turn around so we can avoid a potentially troubling experience.

My doctor suggested I got on birth control to help with relieving some of the discomfort. Fast forward to my early 30s, married and ready to start having children. I got off birth control and my very painful periods came back. Despite the painful menstrual cycles my husband and I were trying to conceive and were unsuccessful for 5 years. I went through infertility treatments with no luck. After an emotional roller coaster of infertility, I told myself that I needed to try something different. I had always heard of acupuncture but was not aware that it may help with women's health and infertility. I googled "Acupuncture Near Me" and found Amanda Moler at Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness. What a gem I found! At our first appointment Amanda was so compassionate and kind. She heard my story and developed a treatment plan specifically for me. Our goal was to first help with my menstrual cycle and then move on to fertility. In about 3 months my menstrual cycles were so much better and I got pregnant! I could not believe it. I was so overjoyed and I'm a firm believer that acupuncture, lifestyle changes and having a positive outlook heals the body. Amanda is truly a beautiful soul and one of a kind! She is a healer. I have recommended several friends and family to her over the last couple of years and all of them adore her and have had amazing experiences. If you are looking to try something new for pain management, grief, women's health or infertility, I highly recommend Amanda Moler at Monarch Acupuncture & Wellness. She is truly amazing and I'm so grateful that I found her.

If you're having any pain, muscle strains, sprains, spasms, etc. then this is the place for you…read more Dr. Kang is simply amazing at his craft. My family and I have visited his office multiple times and every time we go in because of an issue, he magically treats us. (I went in for shoulder and back pain for always sitting at a desk, mom for back pain and digestive issues, stepdad for pain after a car accident). My mom recently visited the office a few weeks ago because she was having extreme back pain/aches. It seemed like there was a huge muscle knot in the middle of her back, but we wanted to go get professional help from Dr. Kang in order to solve the issue. A week before, she got acupuncture at Kaiser because the cost was covered, but it did not help her at all. I think each acupuncturist definitely has their own way of doing acupuncture and I'm in no place to judge since I am not an acupuncturist myself, but my grandfather is a retired acupuncturist and my mom and I both grew up getting acupuncture from him. From what I saw and what my mom expressed, they don't push in the acupuncture needle deep enough at Kaiser to really target the muscles and problem areas. Anyways, the point is that Dr. Kang made my mom's back pain/ache go away by just one session. How amazing is that! I also love that he is not a doctor who is hungry for money. He never tells you to come more than you need to and not in a careless way. When we asked if we need to come again he said to just come if the pain happens to become unbearable again. However, there was no need for that. The pain was already much better on day 1, even though there was still some pain left. And after a few days, the pain was completely gone. Procedure: Acupuncture & cupping therapy. Their cupping machine is super cool. Their cups are connected to the machine and it basically gives you a massage and feels really good. I don't know how to explain it HAHA you have to try it out for yourself. If you don't have a high pain tolerance though it might hurt for you but it's a good kind of pain that will release muscle tension/knots I believe. Price: $100 on your very first visit, $70 for every session after that. This may sound a bit pricey compared to some rates in places like San Jose where they have more acupuncture offices. However, it's still not considered that expensive and I rather still go here because I know that Dr. Kang is great at what he does and it works every time. Some places may be cheaper or even free (Kaiser for us), but it took many more sessions to treat issues we had or didn't even help at all. If you're hesitant and skeptical about acupuncture and other East Asian medical practices, just try it out. Like really, it doesn't hurt to try and you won't know how effective it may be on you until you do. In my opinion, it's much more effective and a faster treatment process than taking medicine for pain so I highly recommend it and especially recommend getting it here at Walnut Creek Acupuncture!

After three months of treatment, along with another IUI cycle, I'm now 39 weeks pregnant. From my very first session, Rose took the time to truly listen and understand what my body was going through. She thoughtfully adjusted my treatments and offered helpful guidance on additional things I could do to support my journey. Her compassion and personalized approach made such a difference. At 35 weeks, my baby was still breech, and I reached out to Rose to see if we could encourage him to flip naturally. I combined at-home Spinning Babies techniques with two sessions of acupuncture and moxibustion and it worked! My ultrasound on a Friday showed baby was still breech, but after seeing Rose on Monday, my next ultrasound on Tuesday confirmed he had turned head down. I've continued seeing Rose to help prepare for labor, and at 39 weeks, I'm now just waiting for baby's arrival. In my most recent session, we focused on labor-inducing acupuncture points, and she also showed me acupressure techniques I can use at home. Beyond the fertility results, these sessions have helped ease my stress and anxiety throughout the entire process. I'm incredibly thankful for Rose's support, care, and expertise every step of the way.

Her knowledge, compassion, and empathy helped make an overwhelming roller coaster of a journey feel far more calming and supported.
