From Heartbreak to Hope , Our Miracle Story with Dr. Aimee and Her Amazing Team" (A journey across continents, faith, and unshakable love) Our story is one of perseverance, faith, and grace , a story that began in 2009 and took us across the UK, Africa, and finally to the United States. For over a decade, my husband and I longed for a child. We went through endless fertility tests, surgeries, medications, and more IVF cycles than we can count. In those years, we faced everything from multiple miscarriages to chemical pregnancies , the kind of heartbreak that leaves you empty, yet somehow still hopeful. We moved from clinic to clinic, across countries, each time believing this might be the one. I had fibroids removed twice, endured injections, blood tests, procedures , and countless nights crying in silence. In 2021, we turned to surrogacy, hoping our miracle would finally come. When we learned our surrogate was pregnant , with triplets , our joy was indescribable. But on August 2nd, 2022, our world crashed again when we were told all three babies had stopped growing. That pain... there are no words for it. I felt completely broken. But deep inside, a small voice whispered , don't give up yet. So I wrote to Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh, a woman I had followed online for years. I poured out our story in an email, not sure if she would ever reply ,after all, I lived across the ocean. But to my surprise, she did. And from her very first email, she radiated compassion, warmth, and understanding. Her message began with, "I'm so sorry this is all happening to you :(((" -- and ended with practical, hopeful next steps. A few hours later, another email came: "You absolutely can be my patient." Those words brought me to tears. After years of being told what was wrong with me, here was a doctor who started with possibility. Her signature phrase, "Hot smokes!", always made me smile , her excitement was real, her energy contagious. Dr. Aimee looked deeper, asked the right questions, and treated us like humans , not statistics. Her care blended science, soul, and humor. I knew instantly that I had found the right place, even if it meant traveling from the UK to the U.S. But beyond Dr. Aimee herself, I have to mention two incredible women who made our journey even more special. Shout out to the amazing Sherry Chang , at the time, the billing coordinator. She handled every delay in our international transfers with such grace and kindness. Whenever funds took longer to arrive because of overseas processing, she would gently say, "Please don't worry , focus on your treatment, that's what's most important." She never once made us feel pressured. She made us feel cared for. Her heart for people goes beyond her job , she even welcomed us into her church family, The Rock Church, making us feel seen and loved far from home. And then there's Jamie Walker , whose name will forever be etched in our hearts. She's the one who broke the most beautiful news of our lives: "Congratulations, we're pregnant." I will never forget that moment , the words we had waited over a decade to hear. The tears, the laughter, the disbelief, the joy. It was finally real. And now, here we are , holding our son, Nosazena, our miracle, our answered prayer. Every time we look at him, we remember the journey, the faith, the science, and the love that made him possible. This September 12th, as we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary with our son by our side, we couldn't stop thanking God , and thanking Dr. Aimee and her amazing team. To Dr. Aimee, for your brilliance, humor, compassion, and the famous "Hot smokes!" that kept us smiling through it all. To Sherry, for your grace, patience, and genuine heart. To Jamie, for being the voice of the miracle we prayed for. You didn't just help us have a baby. You helped restore our faith in humanity, in hope, and in the beauty of never giving up. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you. With love and eternal gratitude, Voke, En & Zena

I fell in love with Dr. Aimee's bedside manner on her podcast, and i was referred to her office by a friend. Dr. Aimee did a great job of explaining things so i understood. I felt secure under her care & i hit the baby jackpot! So in love

I can't say enough how grateful I am for having Dr. Aimee as my doctor for this special journey. Because I know it would not work out had she not been my doctor. I am one of those outliers that require customized treatment plan and intense monitoring. Only Dr. Aimee can do that for me! Because of my insurance benefits, I worked with UCSF as well but switched to Dr. Aimee when UCSF kept failing transfers. I didn't have 100 embryos to burn through so I had to pick a doctor that I think will give my remaining embryos the best shot to implant! So glad I found Dr. Aimee! I will compare them both so you know how amazing Dr. Aimee is! At UCSF, this is what you will get: - Templated process, which won't change much based on each individual's situation - Won't do any additional blood tests/ultrasound monitoring. Their answer was always: "We don't do that here." - When asked why we do XYZ for the treatment plan, their answer was always: "This is per our protocol". - My doctor only saw me once during my very first visit and never saw me again throughout the entire egg retrieval cycle and transfer cycles. It's always the nurses, the care team or the doctor on duty that did all the ultrasounds, etc. - Had to go through the care team to ask the doctor a question and wait a while for an answer, which kinda deterred me from asking more questions. With Dr. Aimee, you will get: - Truly customized treatment plan based on your specific situation. If you need to do 10 monitoring appointments or 10 more blood tests, she will schedule and do them for you to ensure we won't miss anything! - Feel free to ask any questions. You can email her directly and lots of times she replied within like 5 mins no matter it's 7am or 11pm. - She will work with you in a way that makes you feel you understand every step in the treatment plan and feel comfortable about decisions made throughout the process. - She does everything herself! From blood drawing, to ultrasound, to transfer, etc. You will see her during your every visit! Every visit was very efficient and quick! I never had to wait too long and she's always so patient with any questions I had. Over the span of about 6 months, for every visit, I drove a 90-mile round trip, 1 hour each way across 5 major highways in the Bay Area. It was so worth it! Thank you, Dr Aimee!

Dr. Aimee is God sent! On 8/27/23 my husband and I welcomed our baby boy into the world. Under Dr. Aimee's care, what we felt like was impossible became possible. We started our baby journey in 2017 and were with a previous fertility clinic that was very cookie-cutter and gave us little to no hope. With multiple rounds of clomid, 1 round of IVF, 1 failed transfer, and 1 chemical pregnancy, my husband and I felt defeated. On Jan 2022, we reached out to Dr. Aimee and immediately, it felt like a breath of fresh air. Our baby journey with Dr. Aimee was seamless as she made herself available even though we new how crazy busy she was. No other health care provider that we know of would answer emails at 11pm. This woman does! She truly set the bar for everyone in the health care industry! She is always up to date with the latest and greatest tests/procedures and ensured we checked all the boxes as we navigate through next steps in our journey. She is very smart, knows her stuff, warm, and does not make you feel alone in the infertility world. When we were at our lowest, Dr. Aimee never gave up on us. She brought our hope to life!

We are Pregnant :-) :-) :-) After our first FET failed with a PGT tested embryo, Dr.Aimee changed the protocol from medicated to modified natural cycle for our 2nd FET and said no other tests are required and that worked. She made sure me and my husband are peaceful through out. After our first FET I took 6 months break from our treatment as my mother was very unwell. When I emailed her after 6 months that we are ready for our next FET, she replied back with in 5 mins saying she is ready and we got this. These are things that makes her different from others. You don't have to think about email communication delays etc.All our appointments are to the point and that is exactly how we like it. With her it is a custom plan suitable for us only. If not for Dr.Aimee I don't think this would have been possible. We graduated from her clinic today :-)

It would be unfair to call Dr. Aimee a miracle worker, but she is as close as they come in the fertility world! After 4 years of IVF elsewhere, we decided to try one last time with Dr. Aimee. I just gave birth to our precious baby girl last week. I know all of her patients will agree that she is among the best in her industry. She stays up to date on the latest advances in fertility and IVF, and suggests considering any number of them based on each couple's set of circumstances. What she doesn't do is insist that she will only do it "her way." She is anything but dismissive of her patients' ideas and input. I never felt like I didn't have complete control over what treatments to try or not. Dr. Aimee's passion for helping not just her patients but as many women and couples as possible is abundantly clear. In addition to her practice, she regularly reaches people around the world through interviews, videos and articles. And yet despite all the work she puts in on that front, she really does, as she says, treat every patient like a VIP. There was not a single time that I emailed her personally and didn't get a response by the end of the day. I had lots of questions and concerns along the way, but I never felt like she was too busy for me. This experience alone is rather unique, based on my previous IVF experiences, and based on experiences I've read about from other IVF patients around the country (I've been a part of several Facebook IVF groups.) I cannot recommend Dr. Aimee enough, and while sadly no one in the IVF world can guarantee success, I can confidently say she will give her all to give you the absolute best chance for success.

TLDR: If anyone can help you overcome infertility issues, it's Dr. Aimee. Our journey with her lead to a successful pregnancy and the birth of our perfect, healthy little girl. Full review: My wife and I were having a hell of a time dealing with fertility issues and getting no useful guidance or real help from our doctors at PAMF/Sutter. They kept telling us "nothing is wrong", "just go home, relax, have a drink and do it", yes I know, super helpful. After a few years of going through the steps in what seemed to be a one-size-fits-all playbook, and getting nowhere with them, we were feeling desperate and started looking into other doctors. We also started looking for people who had bad experiences with PAMF specifically, to see what, if anything, they did after their failed attempts there. Dr. Aimee's name kept popping up in success stories and good reviews, more so than any one other doctor, so we decided to meet with her. From our first meeting onward she treated us with the utmost care, respect, and compassion and delivered bespoke medical care tailored specifically to our challenges and unique situation. She wasn't just running the show, she was physically present every step of the way and was never more than a phone call away. It wasn't easy, no journey like this ever is, but she was there working directly with us every step of the way and it all paid off. On a hope and a prayer, and with all the help and dedication she provided, we now have exactly what we worked so hard to get after all these years, and we would not be here if it wasn't for Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh. Disclaimers (some obvious, others maybe not so obvious): 1. No guarantees can be offered, only your best chance, assuming you and the doctor are a good fit. Leave your superstitions and raspberry leaf tea at the door. This is cutting edge science and that is exactly what will be at the heart of every proposed approach. 2. Overcoming infertility, assuming it can be overcome in your case, rarely happens on the first try. It did not happen overnight for us either. 3. Many insurance policies, ours included, do not cover most infertility treatment. There are so many varied tests, medications, treatments, approaches, etc., that there's no average cost you can be told to help you figure out whether you can afford it or not. Dr. Aimee's staff sat down with us to go over all possible costs based on each treatment plan we devised along the way so we knew what we were getting into. The only surprises we ever faced came from the medication side, which I attribute directly to the big pharmaceutical corporations, not the doctors who administer them. Also, some tests (there were many) can be expensive. 4. Reviewing a doctor on Yelp seems a bit goofy to me, but this was one of the resources that lead us to her, so it seems only fitting to review her here as well.

Hi there! I am looking into going to dr Amy:) I was wondering if any of you have gone to her for reoccurring pregnancy loss that is un explained and all research tests normal? To then continue in having a baby full term? Thank you!

Any pcos patient had a successful pregnancy after seeing the doctor?

Yes! 2 successful pregnancies actually 😊 I used to think all drs basically must have the same knowledge about these things. I was wrong. Dr. Aimee knows what questions to ask and always has a plan.

I am new to the area and I see that Dr. Aimee has amazing reviews. I also noticed in the "more info" section it says she does not except insurance. Is this misinformation or is it true?

True for visits/exams/IVF but many things like blood tests, genetic tests, meds, a cyst drainage (performed by her) and D&C ( performed by her) was partially covered or totally covered by our insurance. So it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.… Read more

So I asked Dr. Shammout what my options were, and with his advice I decided to proceed with a hysterectomy. I read so many horror stories on hysterectomies that I actually freaked out and postponed the surgery. Through it all, Dr. Shammout never pressured me, he was kind and reassuring, telling me that my concerns were valid, but also putting my mind at ease. I finally got brave enough to do it and had the hysterectomy a week ago. I had a robotic assisted laporoscopic hysterectomy. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Shammout and his entire care team. They are very responsive and helpful, and he did an amazing job on my surgery. I am feeling great and really have been since day one. I had a little pain and soreness over the first few days, but that is to be expected. Now, a week out, I don't even need Tylenol. The hardest part has actually been forcing myself to rest and recover for a couple weeks because I feel so good. I credit this amazing recovery and easy process to Dr. Shammout's expertise. He's a great surgeon and also very kind and genuine- a rare combination! I highly recommend his office for your OB/GYN needs!

He spent about 10 min talking to me and made me very uncomfortable from the beginning. Afterward, he had decided I needed to do an ultrasound even though I had already done one recently within the last few months, which I did mentioned to him. I had agreed to it at that time and looking back I shouldn't have. He was really rough during the trans-vaginal ultrasound hurt a lot (note I've done over a dozen trans-vaginal ultrasounds in the past and they should not be this painful). Not only that but he also made rude, unnecessary and unprofessional comments during the ultrasound about how much fecal matter there was. In the end, he concluded everything looked fine, which of course it would because I had just done an ultrasound a few months prior. My guess for this extraneous ultrasound is that he wanted to collect more money from me and my insurance. The doctor has been trying to collect money for this procedure and his office has been mailing it to the wrong address for the last 8 months until now that he finally got right mailing address. And they are threatening to send this bill to "collection services" because I haven't paid. I don't understand why they couldn't have called me to settle the bill. Either way, I would definitely not recommend this doctor if you are looking for a kind and caring professional doctor with a good team, this is not the place to go.

Reasons: -Reviews are spot on; he is extremely old school. Before even doing an exam, he brings you into his office and sits you down at his desk and goes over his little questionnaire that could have easily been done during the exam or online beforehand. -I was under the impression that he was part of the John Muir network (see: https://www.johnmuirhealth.com/fad/doctor/profile/1881702462), in which case I would have been able to see my records online. NOT the case. ALL of his records are paper only. What year is this?? What happens if the office burns down? -When I asked him a question, he abruptly cut me off and said "we're getting to that." Um OK then buddy, on your terms... -Staff was rude. When I asked about online access they seemed utterly confused. They told me to call if I needed something. What?? -I waited quite a while even though my appointment was the first of the day and there was no one else in the waiting room. -Several weeks afterwards I received a bill of almost $300. Yes, my insurance is terrible but it also states that prenatal appointments are "covered." After several calls to them and an appeal to my insurance company I was proven wrong; apparently they coded it as a routine checkup to "determine pregnancy." I'm confused yet again; I already determined my own pregnancy via a home test. This was my first prenatal visit. But no, they duped me and I still owed it. Almost a year later, and I am still beyond angry. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Even if the drive is longer, deliver at John Muir instead.

I began seeing Dr. Matthews in October 2023 after learning I was pregnant. From the beginning, I shared that I was also working with midwives and hoped to pursue a home birth if my pregnancy progressed safely. At no point during the early months of my care was I told that she does not co-manage patients with midwives or that this would prevent her from continuing as my OB. On April 5, 2024 -- at 30 weeks pregnant and classified as high-risk -- I received a notice stating she would no longer be able to continue my care because she does not "co-manage" with midwives. This was the first time I was informed of such a policy. I asked for clarification and received no meaningful response beyond confirmation that she would not continue my care. Being dismissed that late in pregnancy, especially as a high-risk patient, created unnecessary stress and made it extremely difficult to secure a new OB. Many providers are unwilling to take on high-risk patients deep into the third trimester. Beyond the sudden termination of care, I did not feel supported in my birth preferences throughout my time as her patient. My concerns were often minimized, and the communication around this decision lacked transparency and compassion. I ultimately filed a complaint with my insurance and pursued additional reporting. Clear policies and honest conversations at the beginning of care matter. No patient should find out at 30 weeks that their provider will no longer treat them for reasons that could have been addressed months earlier. I'm sharing this so other patients can ask direct questions about co-management policies before committing to care.

This place should not be in business, and the doctors' licenses should be revoked. Not to mention, they have their patient files visible from the lobby, and was able to see confidential information (PHI/PII exposed) - this is a HIPAA violation. If you decide to come here (against better judgment), make sure to avoid Danielle at the front desk, she provided probably the worst service/experience I've ever witnessed at a medical facility. Goes without saying, it's not just Danielle that was terrible, the "Doctor" Mathews was 20 minutes late to the appointment (which I watched her walk into work late), then she didn't know how to use the EPIC system that shares medical information between medical facilities, and had attitude the entire time. This is not a professional environment; you can get better service in a third-world country. Overall, DON'T GO HERE!!!
