My personal experience with the practicing physician was extremely unpleasant. Erroneous narratives were transcribed in my consultation notes which I found boggling considering that they record everything by audio. Perhaps the physician confused my information with someone else, and that is another red flag for me to not move forward with this clinic. When I inform the scheduling coordinator that I am not comfortable working with their practicing physician, I was informed that unless I complete necessary paperwork--that they did not send me prior to my appointment--they would not release my bloodwork results. I try to log into their website to see what's outstanding, and it appears that my access is no longer available. It is very difficult to contact any staff by telephone as calls will go to voicemails first. The only convenient method was to message via their website, which I now do not have access. I paid my fees in full up front but it appears that I will be barred from my bloodwork results if I do not wish to enter further agreements with this clinic as I do not intend to move forward with their treatments. I wasted an afternoon of time off and a great amount of blood for this visit. The only redeeming quality for this place is that the medical staff onsite was great. I now believe the negative reviews for this clinic and should have heeded the reported red flags.

She was very honest with me that it was a newer procedure, but that the results were promising. I ended up retrieving just two eggs. We created embryos, and incredibly, we ended up with one healthy baby boy and one healthy baby girl. Our son--the little boy my husband had always hoped for--came from one of those eggs I retrieved at age 40. With Dr. Aimee's help, I became pregnant through IVF, and we welcomed our beautiful son, who is now 2 1/2 years old. When we decided we wanted a second child, my previous delivery had been difficult, so we made the decision to use a surrogate. Once again, Dr. Aimee was there for us every step of the way. She connected me with multiple agencies, and I didn't have to wait long before finding an amazing surrogate who had been screened by Dr. Aimee. I said I would like my doctor to be very up front and tell me if it looks like it will happen or not. Dr Fischer met with us multiple times before hand and was very informative, he gave me options that others didn't but most importantly he listened to my concerns and was honest in his opinions. Although my surgeon was able to get all the cancer out we were still going to proceed with the protocol for cancer patients. Since I was still apprehensive about having kids at all, on the morning I was supposed to start injections I made my final decision to not pursue IVF. The process isn't easy and since I'm still recovering from surgery I didn't see the value in doing this for the potential for 0-1 embryo. It isn't important enough for me to do IVF and try for nothing. If I would end up with 2 or 3 embryos I would have done it but not for less. Again he was very supportive and said if I wanted to try later I can since I won't be doing chemo and in a year my fertility won't drastically change. I got pregnant in 2022 with twins and had the babies the same year and before I went to Dr. Altman I was being seen as an OB/GYN from Dr. Lacuna. My experience with lacuna was awful. He did not answer any of my questions and his replies would be "we'll see when we get there." After leaving three appointments rushed and frustrated with no answers from that doctor, I ended up doing research and switched to Dr. Altman. I Didn't know at the time that he was the head of the department, which would explain the great experience. Dr. Altman was a very patient Doctor Who would sit down in front of me and look me in the eye as he listened to my questions and answered as best he could. During appointments he was very thorough and explaining what he was doing, what he was about to do or going to do and making sure that he knew what my plans wanted to be (as far as birth). I did not feel in any way that Dr. Altman had gross misconduct, however, I will say he is very sensitive in that if you're having a hard moment, he will put his hand on your shoulder to comfort you. My husband was in the room with me at most appointments (I think I only went solo once and there was a nurse in the room with me and the doctor) and he never did anything untoward. My husband I thought he was very kind. I can see how if you are not touchy feely, that you would not appreciate the hugs or shoulder pats or even the eye contact but again nothing suspicious (and I am very suspicious of men) I hope those considering Altman do so. She argued with me about my own medical conditions in regards to the anesthesia I'd need for egg retrieval. It's not her area of expertise and the correct answer should have been, "given the complications you've had, let's set up a meeting with our anesthesiologist to see if they are comfortable doing your procedure here." Or even "we've had patients with your set of issues before." 3. She shamed me for not starting IVF sooner. Even though I've been following the medical advice of another fertility doctor. There were a couple other things, but these were the most egregious. Her overall attitude and demeanor were extremely blunt for someone that is helping people through an emotionally challenging period. She didn't seem equipped to handle my case and given what she said to me, I didn't want to try. Highly disappointed given the personal recommendation we had going in.

They can see from my records is that I have been on the same dose this whole time. I haven't been fishing for more. All of my UIs have come back clean. Honestly I am a model patient. Then, they never sent the referral to the pain doctor she personally recommended me to!!! Maybe she is OK if you sprain your ankle but if you have serious health issues and chronic pain like me find someone else. She Will trivialize your pain while patronizing you the whole time. Worst doctor I have had to deal with in a long time. Stay away.
