I am obsessed with Korean beauty products. In my opinion, they take the #1 lead in skincare. Have…read moreyou seen those TikTok or YouTube videos where the women are in their 50s but they look 30? Since my son will be moving to Arizona (a desert state) soon, I wanted to make sure he will be well stocked with the best sunscreen out there. I did my research and I was so happy that they carry the products here. Must be my lucky day because there was a summer sale going on...Get 2 Sunscreen Products and Get 1 Free. 90.9% of people in Seoul, Korea wear sunscreen on a daily basis. Children there are taught to protect their skin early on. When I visited South Korea last year, I noticed that all vehicles there have tinted windows. They really take their skincare seriously. Another reason their sunscreen products stand out, there is no nasty scent, it's not sticky, you can apply your makeup afterwards. I absolutely love it. Extremely helpful and friendly employees. I'm excited to try some new cleansers I got as well. I'm teaching my son that men have to take care of their skin too. Most of the products have Korean labeling but on each product display shelf, it explains what it does in English. Some of the tags will tell you that it's the #1 selling item in Korea. The best part...the prices!!! I felt like I hit a gold mine and made out like a bandit.

Absolutely every last annoying thing I want to avoid when I shop is epitomized here…read more First of all, yes this place is pricey. I get it, and I'm not looking for the same experience, as at a Sephora, or even an Ulta, but when you see items that you can then find on Gilt Groupe for 1/2 off (like Nest, etc), it just emphasizes how overpriced this shop is. Second, it's beyond annoying and mind-boggling how many employees there are working in this tiny store, and how each one of them only deals with their own section. If you want a certain type of eyeliner (like liquid) , but they don't carry that in "their" line, whelp, they will try to push what they have in their line on you, even if you don't want it. Please don't tell me how to use a brush to apply eye pencil. If I wanted that I would buy it ffs. Third, the snooty attitude is so boring. Employee ladies: please have more chill, and also stop hovering! Gosh it is so unpleasant here. The store is minuscule - keep 10 feet from me so I can browse. Please stop suggesting things to me, so we can just enjoy looking and touching the packaging and if I have a question, will certainly ask. This store reminds me of why I shop online. I want my fancy eyeliner, and my Tom Ford perfume, but not at the expense of dealing with these type of people at Blue Mercury. Btw, parking near this location is a hellscape between almost no metered spots, and those aren't cheap, to the nearby structure that only gives 30 minutes free. TL/dr: stay away, shop online instead.
