Cool little gift shop that is a mix of stationery, random funny things, Studio Ghibli and Japanese and Korean anime-inspired toys and cards, and a staff that keeps an eye out because it's super easy to shoplift so they have a sign and a guy standing around eyeballing all the customers as they walk around. They do accept credit cards. Blind boxes and regular toys and other little trinkets. They don't like you taking photos in the shop. Very narrow aisles, so hard to get past folks. read more

SOOOO FIREEEEE MY GO TO SPOT FOR POKÉMON CARDS AND THEY LIT HAVE EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF. I bet you just thought of the world's tiniest vacuum, well guess what, they have that. I was reading other reviews and I get that the store lady may seem intimidating at first with the looks, but it's a family owned business so I believe she's just protective over the stuff. Prices are a bit expensive tho. Lowk just stop by for the dopamine. read more

Cute selection of trinkets ! They had a lot of merch from anime to comedy shows. Some of the aisles are narrow so be careful with your bag. My only issue is was I felt the owner glaring at me as I was looking around which felt odd :( read more

I was so sad when I saw Morning Glory had closed, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that Limelite is owned by the same people. I love the variety of items in the store, and they have a good selection of blind boxes. I've seen other reviews say things can be pricey, but everything I've bought has been fairly priced in my opinion. The owner is always so sweet, and the other woman who is often working has seen things in my basket, and picked out items to show me that I've also loved and ended up purchasing. I went with my friend the other day, not realizing it was just before they closed. The owner was so sweet and accommodating, even though it was 5 minutes after closing time. Overall, I just love this shop, and will continue to shop here in the future :] read more

This experience was awful and when I went into the store she gave me a very dirty look and then when I was looking at the merchandise she proceeded to follow me around the store and when I looked to my side and she left then she talked to another employee and spoke to her in Korean in what I think is about me being then finally she came up to me and told me to leave the store and I heard her other employee say that I was steeling. The items were very overpriced for what they were. When I even looked at candy I was. Told to leave and that I would get the cops called on me if I stayed. She proceeded to tell me to never come back. I wouldn't suggest ever coming her it was so bad of an experience! read more

i absolutely adore limelite! the shop was recommended to me by a friend of a friend not even 6 months ago & i've gone back a multitude of times since. the little trinkets are so fun to look at and i feel like it never gets old. the sonny angels and smiskis are always a fun mystery purchase to unwrap! & the staff is so sweet. for those saying they felt watched, it's only to try and prevent thievery, the staff has never been anything less than friendly to my friends & i! in fact, the younger worker once told us she'd love to hear what sonny angels we got so we came back & showed her & she was so happy! overall, i love limelite & would recommend to anyone shopping in princeton :) read more

I found this store visiting Princeton University. They have a variety of imported products such as anime products and K-Pop merchandise. I love how I could find something for everyone. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. It is hard to find authentic Japanese or Korean products in Central/South Jersey but this place has it all. I read such a negative reviews on Yelp on this place and I could not believe how these people have no common sense. If you break something, you should be responsible to pay for the item. If you rip something open and used it, you should not be entitled to get a refund. This is not a Costco or Walmart. Please respect small business. Everyone I encountered in my visit was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this business to anyone visiting Princeton. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS STORE! My 3year old daughter accidently broke something and was forced to pay for it. The item was glass ceramic and the store associated did not even ask if my daughter was ok! Very cold, no compassion. My daughter was very upset and crying! Plus to make things worse they bagged the broken item up and gave it to us in a bag to take home! Unbelievable! This item probably cost the store $7/$10 dollars max. This is why stores have insurance to cover situations like this, not to nickel and dime customers. read more

just went today with my sisters and i love it here. the rows are narrow cause they're packed with adorable trinkets. if you have children i wouldn't suggest bringing them here bc they will most definitely break something (don't be surprised if you have to pay for it because that is a decent human thing you should do). the owners are incredibly kind, they try to strike up a conversation with as many people as they can. try not to get offended by the hovering, from what i've seen they're a small family business and there are plenty of horrible people who would steal from them anyway. i bought a nee doh gum drop and a nee doh nice cube which came out to $12. i was expecting it to be more but so glad they're not up charging! overall sososo great, you could easily find many fun gifts for loved ones and i can't wait to come back. read more

Extremely rude and racist staff. We were visiting from California and went to this store to get a specific doll. Then I asked lady behind the counter if they have ornaments. She laughed, said "it's March and you are looking for ornaments", and dismissively told me they are on the other side of the store. I was offended and when I went to the area she told me to go to, no ornaments. They were actually just two feet away from her. She is an example of Asian against Asian racism. She then call her mom and spoke Korean with her more likely about us. I told my aunts and cousins it's time to leave and not give them more business. I suggest not patronizing this store. read more

I went here with my boyfriend about 3-4 months ago after we traveled to princeton looking for morning glory gifts , to see they moved to a new location down the street! To my surprise this lovely little shop was expansive and had a mix of everything a gal could want! I told the owners how we have been so excited to visit the shop and had no idea they moved , they were thrilled to hear this and even sent me home with a little gift , a bag of chocolate filled marshmellows which were lovely! Such a loving little family owned business. don't let your kids off the leash or open a product and expect them to take it back like target and your experience should be lovely like mine was. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Customer satisfaction is NOT guaranteed at this store. I was fine with the store's clearly stated policy of "NO REFUND. Exchange/Store Credit within 7 Days." What they don't say is that any product can't be returned if the packaging is opened. I bought a car vent cell phone holder from them which ended up not working...it wouldn't hold my phone securely or even straight when placed on the vent. Of course I needed to take it out of the package to find this out. I brought it back to the store two days following the purchase to get a store credit which I planned to put toward a different item that cost more, but was told that the product I bought couldn't be returned because the package was opened. I paid full price...it wasn't like it was marked down or on a clearance rack of some sort. They were all too happy to take my money but offered nothing but terrible customer service when I wasn't happy with the product they sold me. I told them they really need to explicitly state somewhere that even opened packages of products - that weren't actually used and are in the same condition as sold two days before - can't be returned, if that's a policy they really have (she responded, yeah I'll do that). I never would have bothered buying it if I knew that was their policy. This store does a disservice to Palmer Square - I've lived in Princeton for the last 20 years and have never had an experience even close to this. read more
