Such cute homeware items!!! Do I need it? No but... do i want them? YES. This Japanese-owned store has so many cute, dainty items including plates, cups, bowls, cat and turtle soy sauce cups, chopsticks, mortar and pestles, bento boxes, tote bags, books, and even cards. I'd highly recommend taking a stroll here even if you're not looking to buy anything.

Love the plates and bowls here. I've picked up so many at this point and I always use them to elevate my cooking! I feel like I could put anything on these plates/bowls and it will instantly taste better. I also like that most of these are dishwasher and microwave safe too! Only issue is that since these are high quality Japanese dinnerware, they are not cheap in price. They are also not great at having everything in stock, but you can put in an order at the checkout counter, and they will contact you when it's available in store!

This is my go-to place whenever we go to Princeton campus for a walk! Miya Table has a lot of authentic Japanese dinnerware & drink ware (Made in Japan!) The store is spacious and neat, I always find myself spending half hour there during each visit lol... Since the products here are imported from Japan, the price point is $10-15 for small plates/bowls, $15-25 for larger plates/bowls. BUT they are all extremely well-made, pretty, and dishwasher safe. If you are a matcha lover, they also sell matcha bowls and matcha whisk. If you are looking for gifts for friends that love cooking & plating, this will be a good place to pick gifts! Note: there are two parking garages nearby & metered parking.

I made a purchase but didn't get to check in while I was there.

Lo and behold, as you come in, what welcomes you is the serene ambiance of almost "home", minus the smell of home cooking or popcorn. The place is packed with very tastefully curated items from handcrafted "reclaimed lumber" to Villeroy & Boch and other very interesting finds. Even the bathroom which I perused after a long drive looked great and well appointed. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and cordial. The very dapper looking gentleman (I presumed is the owner) was very attentive and hands on with his assistance on the product I was interested in. He answered all my questions and seemed really knowledgeable. Though quite a distance from home, it will be goodbye to the mall at Short Hills and hello to The Homestead at Princeton when it's time to redecorate. Pricing ranges from expensive to affordable. Well, depending on your taste, budget and aesthetics The place gave me the shivers (positive). If I was a leaf, I would be shaking. The place is marvelous. The dapper gentleman and young lady was a delight. Thank you for the shopping experience.

This place is absolutely huge - occupying the former Sam's Club location and filling it with more sad sack area rugs and disposable furniture than you can possible absorb in one overwhelming visit. As you stroll the concrete floor navigating the endless maze of 12-foot steel shelving one stark truth emerges, nothing here is of particularly high quality right down to Huey Lewis' Greatest Hits serenading your every step. Although the affirmational "Farmers Harvest Love" throw pillow might add some much needed kitsch to my attic. Nothing here really screams you got a deal and that's the disappointment. Never has so much space been dedicated to so little of so little quality. Two stars for Huey Lewis' Greatest Hits. A CD that I will be re-gifting shortly.

I can easily put off buying things I…read moreneed or that would make my home more comfy almost indefinitely when faced with the prospect of having to walk around stores like this. (TJ max, Home sense, Marshall's etc) I came here twice recently because they were one of the few places that carried wine racks. There are several sources online, and most big box stores like Lowe's and HD carry them, but ONLY online. Someone who does frequent places like this alerted me to their existence so I made the effort to look. When I finally found them I was surprised that the size of one was almost perfect, as was the amount of bottles it could hold. In my mind I was picturing all wood, so I decided to look at a sister store, Home Sense, to see if they had others. They had an all wood version that was larger but held fewer bottles. I came back the next day with a shopping cart and purchased the floor model. Here's where I find fault with places like this, surely this item came packaged in a box? Why not keep a few in the boxes so they don't get damaged? There were scuffs on one side, and the distressed wood top had a slight flaw too. And I'm sure as the furniture gets bigger here, there's more of an opportunity for those items to be damaged by other shoppers. The same goes for almost all items, they seem to be haphazardly merchandised and then overstocked. What I was a fan of is the customer service. I needed help on my first visit and the associate I encountered was cheerful and friendly and showed me the secret location. The same was true the next day but by a different employee, and then again at the register by the cashier. I ultimately opened up a credit card to get a 10% off coupon, but I do need a few other things from here so I'll be back. 3.5, nothing personal Yelps

I have only shopped at this store a few times in the last year or so as the hours (11 am - 6 pm) at that time were not the most convenient. Have never seen anyone else in the store. The second experience was such a turn off that I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I was not made aware of their return policy until after I made a purchase. The policy is not prominently displayed in store (see photo) and so it was only visible once I opened the link in the text message of the receipt. Items have to be returned within 10 days and even then are only eligible for a store credit. Never experienced any store having such an unreasonable and inflexible return policies. I returned several items within the required time frame totaling around $68, and asked the store to make an exception to get my money back and not a store credit as I was not made aware of the return policy until after I bought the items. The clerk said the machine is not set up to do that. I asked her again to make an exception and she says she had to contact .the owner, to which I said fine. They were on the phone for several minutes as the owner had to know the items returned, which seemed weird as why should that matter? The owner refused to refund my money, so now I have a gift card for a store I don't wish to shop in because of they way they treat their customers. But they had their goods back in a timely manner that they can resell. Seems fair, right? I initiated a credit card dispute ruth my credit card company which I am waiting to be resolved. Such a waste of time.
