Stopped by the Macy's Clearance Center in East Brunswick, NJ and was seriously impressed. The deals are outstanding -- racks and racks of brand names at prices that make you do a double take. If you're willing to browse a bit, you'll absolutely score. The store was organized for a clearance center, staff was helpful when needed, (was assisted at fitting area and walked to Men's room by a staff member); checkout was smooth. Found amazing discounts on clothing and accessories that would've cost so much more at regular retail. If you love a good bargain and the thrill of the hunt, this place is a good stop! read more

It is what it is. A mishmash of remnant clothing that went unsold in their frontline stores. Merchandise is certainly strewn with sizes mixed in making this last chance saloon very much of a needle in a haystack mission. If you've got the time and a little elbow grease, have at it, you might find something. The scary thing is, it's only marginally messier than your typical Macy's. Maybe therein lies the problem for the entire chain. read more

What is going on here? Macy's only has one review? Anyway, I stopped in their watch department and met a fabulous sales person. She looked exhausted from the non stop shoppers this Christmas holiday. I have to say, she was making that money! She helped me pick out 2 Michael Kors watches and 2 Michael Kors purses. She came out from inside the counter to help me in another department. I thought that was great. She gave me her honest opinion about the products because she knew I was picking out items for my employees and it was going to be tough, being two males and two females. Any discounts she could apply, she tried them all. I really appreciated that. I will be back to visit her soon on the next purchase. read more

This just Solely based on the men's bathroom first floor. It's probably the most disgusting bathroom I probably been in. It's also the hardest to to find too, I had to ask a rep for help, it's looks nothing like the women's bathroom. There's two stalls, one doesn't even close right because the stall door hinge is broken, the other is flooded and why tf are the two bathrooms separated? When I was first searching for the bathroom I came across the women's first, and lemme tell you something. Right off the escalator to the second floor you saw the sign "women's restroom" looked brand new. It was Hugh up so everyone could see it, I walked past it and the entry was grand, all clean, there were seats. It genuinely looked nice. And now the men's bathroom, there's no grand walkway... no brand new sign, the men's bathroom sign was stuck up with a pin tack on a 8x11 paper... in the outskirts of the women's purse place. The toilet seats are all ripped up and it's disgusting in here. Y'all be playing favorites. No wonder it's dead in this Macy. read more

One of the anchor stores in this East Brunswick mall. The store is ginormous with a great selection of clothing, and home accessories. I have gotten a lot of great jackets here. They have really good style here as well. It's all at a great price. and it's a good place to save money. It loses 2 stars, because there have been a lot of times. where there are shoes on the floor, and after I come back 20 minutes later, they're still not picked up. I see a lot of staff walking around, and they don't even clean up the mess in the store. Staff also loses patience when there are long lines in customer service. Overall, this store is a great first stop in the mall for shopping. read more

I was recently at the Macy's Lancome counter the salesperson Rose Stucca, assisted me. She was very courteous and quite helpful. She allowed to get the most value for the purchase I wanted to make. I highly recommend any interaction at the make up counters at Macy's for you to ask for this very thoughtful. She is very good at customer care interactions. read more

The absolute worst on line pick up experience of any of the department stores. Waited 40 minutes for an online order that would normally take Kohl's or Target or Walmart less than five minutes to fulfill. In fact, I left people there that were before me! It was disorganized and the lady TRYING to help did not seem proficient in her duties at all. She would traipse back and forth to the store rooms and then declare to each unsuspecting victim " I can't find it. It no there! (I'm aware of the poor grammar I am relaying the experience as it happened people). And then she would try to help the next customer. No apology, no escalation. Nothing!! I don't know if this is a local issue or if Macy's online pick up system is catastrophically broken but it is reprehensible that it attempts to service customers as it is. Shameful. Absolutely shameful. Do not so Macy's.com pick up at east Brunswick. It's an hour of your life you will never get back. read more

An extra star for never being crowded. And why should they be? This store is the ghetto shell of its former 80s and 90s self. This is where all the clothes that they can't sell at others Macy's' go to die on the sales rack. I come here only because it's nearby and only when I need the most basic of things -- and even then I feel lucky if I find something. The one thing I will say is that the staff in the men's department are always very nice and helpful. They seem happy to have someone in the store that they can talk to to help pass the time. This is sort of a creepy store, especially increasing in creepiness as you get up to the third floor (housewares, linens, etc.). It's not particularly well-maintained; frequently there are items of clothing simply laying on the dirty, dingy carpets and products shoved into areas that are clearly not designated for them. With the staff it's really hit or miss...some of them have been there forever and seem to not really give a sh*t about helping customers while others are incredibly friendly and helpful. Most of the associates in the cosmetics and fragrances section are downright hostile, pushy and rude, while the associates in the men's department and the children's section are super nice. It's sad to see such a dirty, unkempt store that could probably do much better financially and aesthetically with better management. read more

I love Macy's, there outfits are amazingly adorable. Everybody was so friendly and helpful with the questions I have had with certain items. The stores are so clean and open spaces, the departments are so well laid out, it's so easy to find everything u need to look for. Sales are good then employees are always trying to help you get the best price that you can get. read more

I haven't been to Macy's in awhile. Don't think I'll be back; at least to this location. Stopped by last week and was disappointed at the low stock and disarray on the racks. I felt like I'd stepped into a bargain basement free-for-all; clothes were mixed-up everywhere, there were very few dresses available and limited size choices in everything. Things have really gone down hill here compared to what I remember from even a few years ago. I realize big retailers, including Macy's, are having a hard time staying in business these days with all the competition from on-line sellers and lower-priced options. But this is NOT the way to keep the customers who may want to actually go into a store to try clothes on or those who make an effort to support their local businesses. Too bad. read more

Their prices could be better on mostly everything in the store...however, when they have a sale it is a real sale! Great selection of designer bags and pretty good shoe department for it's size. It could use an updating though as I agree with others about the dingy carpets and it does get messy, but still go for the sales. I always manage to find good clothes there for myself. read more
