In short The techs were fine, the office was a disaster…read more Others have almost all said the office is a horrific mess, but we needed some simple tech work done, so I am splitting the difference on the stars. In long Similar to what others have seen--they scheduled one date, cancelled last minute, and then they acted like they were doing us a HUGE favor to "squeeze us in" on another date. I had to talk to 3 different people to get this re-scheduling done, and it was at their request in the first place, because they bagged at the last minute. They don't even have their own employees handling the phones all the time, either--one lady answered with the name of an answering service, then acted like I was a moron for asking if I was talking to Blue Flame. She had no patience for me at all after that. That was the single most irritating part of this process, thankfully. Anyway, we have a 5-year-old furnace and A/C unit, installed by a different company. Our house is 34 years old. The airflow is low on the second story, always has been. We repaired some ducting problems a couple years ago, which helped, but did not correct it 100%. The original installers came out and found nothing wrong, so we had a family friend in the industry come out and look at it. He speculated that we might have weird ductwork, a setting we could bump up, or maybe a weak furnace that's too small for the house. He works on commercial HVAC, though, so we called in a residential company. Enter Blue Flame. The guys looked it over, found some minor clogging they cleared, and noticed that the aging ductwork was not designed very well--lots of turbulent corners keeping the air from going straight to the rooms. They helped us out quite a bit, considering there wasn't much they could do. Our furnace is big enough, our ducts are not making its life any easier, and they kinda did a basic checkup on everything for the cost of the regular visit. I have no problem with what we got from the techs since we didn't think they'd actually have to fix or change anything. Our power bill might go down one or two percent per day, and our house will be maybe 5-10% cooler. I'm good with the quality of technical service here. But I was annoyed with the office already last week, and now I wish I'd read more detailed reviews instead of just going by the aggregate score on Angi--'cause these folks evidently used to be much better, and have a high score sticking around as a result.

Checked code and told the burner needs to be cleaned, then told several known issues with 4 year old furnace. Had I called for this year's maintenance total charge would gave been 130. Since I didn't I was charged 650 to clean the burner plus the 130 trip charge they gifted back. Service was fine. Labor charge was and is a complete Rip off. I told the tech I won't use the company anymore because they sell bad furnaces that don't last and now I check around and they are charging double everywhere else to do a 30 minute burner cleaning. Searching online indicates this company is not what it once was. Very disappointed.

Everyone has been really great to work with. May 2024 - I finally scheduled our annual maintenance. They sent James out. He was fantastic. A wealth of knowledge, polite and professional. I signed up for the annual maintenance plan to save money. He made good recommendations based on my needs and concerns of my allergies. Much appreciated! 2026 update - our heat pump stopped working and needed replacement parts. I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Kudos to the office staff, Brittny, Erin and everyone who took my calls while I was eagerly waiting for parts & repair. They treated me very kindly and proactively communicated each step of the way. I hope that this fix lasts a long time, or at least until we upgrade to a newer, more environmentally friendly unit.

I had to call them five times before they finally sent someone. Turns out the salesman hadn't secured the door properly, so the safety switch never engaged -- a super easy fix. We had a cold night with small kids in the house and they showed zero urgency fixing a problem they caused. Their quote was also the highest I got. I don't blame the salesman for the mistake, but the company doesn't stand behind their work at all. I'd never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I booked AirGanic's services for duct cleaning, furnace cleaning, AC cleaning, and dryer vent…read morecleaning. They came on 3/6 in the provided time window, and did a good job of cleaning from what I can tell. On their website, they mention they provide a before and after report of the duct cleaning, though the only report I've received so far is the indoor air quality one. It would be nice to see the before and after, but that's not my biggest concern with their service. Unfortunately after they completed the service and left, I noticed floor new vibrations on the floor that is right below the furnace (which weren't there before the service). At the time since this was still during the day, I figured it might be from some construction work outside and ignored it. The vibrations continued into the night at which point I was getting concerned. I call them on Monday 3/9 and the earliest they can send someone to check it out is Friday 3/16 -- not ideal, but appreciated nonetheless. It's the same tech who did notice the vibrations on the furnace with the blower compartment open and fan running. Unfortunately he doesn't have an idea on what could be causing the vibrations from a cleaning. I suspect the vibrations to be from the blower going out of balance (perhaps from something settling on the blower during the duct cleaning). He goes to call his boss and returns saying the boss isn't also sure of what could be causing the vibrations, that the blower could be cleaned but AirGanic doesn't do it and that the boss would reach out to me with details of a company that cleans furnace blower. It's been three full business days and I've yet to recieve a call from the boss. I removed, cleaned, and put back the furance blower myself in the mean time which did resolve the vibrations -- it looked like there was stuck on paper on the blower fins. No idea where that came from. I'm not particularly happy with how my situation was handled -- if I am told someone will reach out to me, I expect to be reached out in a reasonable time. If I'm hiring a professional for a service and something unexpected happens, I expect help from the professional -- that's why you hire a professional. I was left without help and had to guess and fix the problem myself. Everyone makes mistakes, that's not what I have a problem with, I'm only interested in how well the mistake is remedied. I imagine this was something that doesn't happen frequently. In all probability, you'll hire AirGanic for cleaning, everything will go great -- I certainly don't contest that the cleaning itself was poor or unsatisfactory -- but if something unexpected happens, you might not get the help you are expecting.

We called AirGanics this morning because of no heat coming from our furnace, which we had installed when we moved in our house June 2021. We tried most of the morning, both email and phone to contact them. We couldn't wait any longer and reached out to another company to fix our furnace. We did a call back but was told they do not service "non AirGanics" installed equipment. I explained we did have AirGanics install our our whole unit when we moved in, but was told they had no record of us installing, just a consultation. So I forwarded the invoice we had paid to have the unit installed. I received an email back simply stating, "Checking our records now for that invoice. I did find that. Thank you So now I don't even know if the warranty on our less than 5 year old furnace will be serviced in the future, or will we need to go to another company. Just passing along our experience.

I have also had them replace a condenser in another system. Recently, they replaced a gas water heater with a tankless system. A technician and two installers made visits and then I was given a detailed proposal with recommendations and several options. The owner, Robert, called to answer my list of questions, so that I fully understood my options. The work was scheduled within the week. The technicians arrived on time, reviewed the project with me and kept me updated as the work progressed. They laid down protective coverings over hardwood floors, as they had to drain and remove the 80 gallon water heater through the living area. The installation required that they cut two access openings in an existing chase to gain access to an outside wall. They cleaned up afterwards and I could not tell that they had been working there. They came recommended by my General Contractor and were super easy to work with. Rich geeked out with me about heat pumps vs. boilers, and made great recommendations for what we should do. James and Tompall, the lead electrician and hvac/plumbing folks were always friendly, easy to work with, and did a wonderful job. There were a couple of issues at the end of the project. The heat distribution in the flooring wasn't perfect on the first pass, and an electrical circuit needed to be rewired. But as someone who works in construction, I judge contractors not by the issues - because there are always issues - by how they deal with them when they come up. In this case, Tompall and James both came out and fixed the issues within 24 hours of me calling. And in the case of the radiant heating, there were a couple of trials and errors, but we ultimately got the distribution just as we wanted it, and Tompall was an absolute gem to work with. When we needed a minisplit tune up (an old one that had come with the house), they set up an appointment, came out as scheduled and serviced it, and it's been running great since. So, when I decided that my biggest mistake in 2021 was not installing A/C on our first floor, I called Rich. He gave me a well priced quote for a new minisplit, walked me through all potential locations, sent me a few quotes when I asked for revisions, and then, scheduled everything once I was ready. I was told it would take 3 days to install the minisplit, plus another small exhaust vent in a different room. Their team of 4 showed up today and did it all in one (long) day. Plus, they cleaned up after so I didn't have a dusty mess on my hands. And now, in the middle of a heat wave, I am sitting pretty in my cool house knowing that I got great service, a great price, and if I need anything, they'll be there to help.

I needed the airflow balanced in the system so all the rooms were the same temperature. After calling my current HVAC company and finding out they couldn't help me, I started looking. Turns out not many do this. Fortunately for me, Legacy One Heating does. After talking with Karl and having him look at the system, he came up with a plan to resolve this. I scheduled an appointment, and two very professional and caring men came out to fix the problem I was having. Collin and Brian are excellent! We talked about what they were going to do and how they would balance everything. They listened to my thoughts about labeling corresponding components, and went to work. After they made the changes to the ducts, they went around and balanced the airflow coming out of each one so that the airflow evenly covers the whole house. It's a tri-level, so that's three floors with ducting. Lots to consider when balancing the system. I have to say that I am thrilled with how well the system is now working! I no longer need to wear a sweatshirt when I go into my office to work. It's not cold anymore! In fact, there are no longer any cold spots in the house. Just even temperatures throughout. Needless to say, Legacy One is now my HVAC partner. They do everything around a furnace. They are interested in what I have to say, and they are true professionals. Collin and Brian, thank you for what you did for me! This is a huge improvement!
