Sarah Potenza, Christine B, and Katie Kadan 10/23/21.

I used to love performing here when I was younger, and I love how it has evolved to what it is today. This venue has the friendliest staff in RI. I had the opportunity to hang with two artists this past weekend, and a lot of memories were made. Thank you, Sarah and Katie.

Not unlocked ....go around to that alley or all of the doors are locked!

This is a nice medium sized venue to see a live band. In the summer, the patio is a nice place to escape from the crowds and music for a few. My gripe? Charging $7 bucks for a mixed drink served in a tiny plastic cup? Underwhelming for sure. I guess stick with beer! If you want an actual seat - get there early! There are limited tables available. Otherwise, join the standing room only crowd near the stage. This place has been renovated since it's hey days as The Blackstone - they now have dedicated restrooms not far from the stage instead of having to go out into the hallway like years before. All in all - got to support this local venue and the bands that grace it's stage!

The entrance to the Metacafe is inside the courtyard just a good tip to know the next time you want to go see a band

And that is a wonderful music venue that is intimate and exciting. You get to be up close to see the performers and really engage with the music. Lots of on the street parking around this venue. My favorite place to go see bands. Which Lupo and Sarah Lupo do a wonderful job of supporting upcoming musicians.

Oh Met....I was never old enough and/or allowed to go to any of your prior incarnations, but I like what ya have to offer here and now. When you enter, you either can go straight to the bar or bang a left to the stage. Once you learn where the stage is, in all honesty this is one of the better set ups for a venue around. No such thing as a bad seat in the house, as the stage is against the same wall as the entrance and you have to crawl along the back wall and those sitting to find the rest rooms. the met understands some folks might want to sit, and they have corralled areas specifically for that. The rest rooms still sort of smell like whatever industrial products were used to assemble/finish/paint them, but besides that are scores better than those at other venus in providence (especially, you lupo's) usually the sound system is competent and doesn't allow the crowd to overwhelm the act, with the exception of tonight, but truly I think tonight's act (Against Me!) is the sort of band that one doesn't see unless they will be pouring their heart out along with screaming all the way. Drinks are good- they also take cards but on busy nights will be a bit reluctant too and may require your id as well.

So this place is owned by the same guy who owns Lupos, right? I'm pretty excited for what acts he brings on over to Pawtucket. Came in here for lunch earlier this week. I was their first ever order for the oven, and as it turned out, the oven didn't work. So long chicken pot pie! I opted into the cobb salad. It was a masterpiece really. Unfortunately, the honey dijon dressing was way too strong for my liking. However, the salad itself was so spectacular that I'd get it again and maybe just substitute the dressing for ranch. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a good amount of it. They really took what the Blackstone used to have in that spot and made it better. And they added bathrooms! Service was great. Since they're new to food, they wanted to make sure we were happy with everything we were eating. I didn't have the heart to tell them that my soda was flat and the dressing was nearly toxic, but I'm sure they'll sort it out. We did afterall come in for the first lunch they ever served. Oh right, and my boyfriend's steak sandwich was delish.

I attended a show here and was quite impressed. It was very spacious and I wasn't constantly getting shoved into my neighbor.

Providence's best mid-sized club to see live music. Nice atmosphere, great sound, and good stage placement.

I've definitely seen some cool things at AS220, & I'm super glad & grateful for the programming…read morethey put out there. They make use of all of their space, coordinating music, burlesque, theater, art shows, etc, to be highlighted in the spot that makes the most sense for the medium. Does that make sense? No corner goes unused, you know? Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, & thrice is a pattern, right? Well then, unfortunately, the pattern here is that the bar staff is astronomically rude ): Like, noticeably mean. I wouldn't consider coming here for food or bev if there wasn't a very specific reason/show going on that I wanted to attend. That aside, I still have wonderful things to say about AS220 as an entity. Just a heads up for showgoers.

One Providence Place…read more Advertised as follows: The year is 2003. Providence Place is in its youth, only four years old and shining with promise. Deep in the bowels of this commercial complex, a group of friends carve out a secret 750 sq. ft. home for themselves, away from the prying eyes of mall security and the daylight reminder of things they would rather not think about. But what comes of letting our hurt take up too much room inside of us? Does every empty space always need to be filled? Or sometimes, is it all right to let what is hollow stay hollow? Loosely inspired by a true story, One Providence Place is an original 90-minute musical dramedy about art, grief, family, and the most carpeted mall in America. The space- Black Box: The Black Box is a nice little space nestled all the way to the right of AS220. Enough to fit about 30-40 audience members. Every seat is a good seat and it has it's own bathrooms. The play: It was more drama than comedy. I was not expecting that. After re-reading the description, they advertised it as dealing with grief and it was more a play about exactly that. I wanted it to be more comical and closer to the actual story. It wasn't my cup of tea but Kudos where judos is deserved. Someone had a vision and they went after it! Everyone knew their lines, their was some excitement, there were songs, they used their space well. Overall a dedicated group of artists did their craft and kudos to them. I always appreciate bathroom art.
