I love Melting Pot! I mainly go for the desserts when I'm craving chocolate HEAVY. They have a selection of different chocolate fondues and great selection of dippable sweet treats. My fave things to dip are the waffle pieces, strawberries and cream puffs. The atmosphere is kinda dark but intimate and they have little private booths. Each table has its own electric burner which gets pretty hot. The service is always always friendly and pleasant. If it's your first time they take their time explaining each part of the menu and don't rush you on your choices. I was so excited that they were open on Xmas! My family had a Xmas tradition of doing fondue growing up so we started it here. Everyone was extremely friendly and the service was great. My teenage daughter loves it and we got the two person dinner which is four courses. You pick a cheese, salad, entree and chocolate for the four courses and it's a lot of food. We also had an email coupon for 6 free chocolate covered strawberries which were delicious. The tables are very private and you feel like you are dining in your own restaurant. I just wanted the fondue experience. I sorta got it here but it really wasn't a good time. The restrictions made it Not so fun. Came with a group of four and was told that we needed to agree on 1 cheese (appetizer) dipping sauce for the table to share. Wish they had something like a double pot in case everyone didn't want the same thing. But if 2 of us sat at an adjacent table, then each pair could get their own different sauce and still pay the same price? Doesn't really make sense. The dipping plate included apples, bread, and raw veggies. It was bland and tasteless. Complained, and was brought out a charcuterie board with olives, salami, and various cold cuts. Finally some flavor! Those things should have been mixed in with the tasteless board from the start. Also sent back the first cheese sauce. It was disgusting. Again wish they had some type of double pot or small pots so we could have tried two different cheeses from the start. Also, I guess making/mixing the cheese sauce in front of us was supposed to be part of the experience, similar to hibachi, but it didn't hit. I guess some ppl would enjoy that, but I found it unnecessary. The main course was the most disappointing. I thought "Entree Fondue" meant that we would get cooked food and dip it like traditional fondue. Not the case. Again "the table" has to pick 1 cooking style. We chose the cast iron grill. Had no idea the we were going to have to cook our own food. 1 small grill pan for four ppl to cook our shrimp, steak, chicken and fish. It was so frustrating for everyone that I just took over and cooked everybody's food. Not fun. We all got individual plates with our own seafood/meats but they only gave us 1 veggie plate for the table to split so I had 1 asparagus spear, 1 slice of zucchini, and 1 mushroom. There should have been 2. Dessert brought us back to the traditional fondue experience. Fruit, cake, and other snacks like Rice Krispy treats were included and delicious, but we were also kinda over it by this point. Our server was nice but aggravating. I don't think they are allowed to give recommendations or opinions. She really was no help. We were hungry and wanted food but I wish she had told us the main course wasn't actually fondue. If I wanted to cook I would have stayed home. I looked forward to coming here for years and was disappointed. I found out later that a lot of people come in and order the starter(cheese) and dessert courses only so If I ever returned that's what I would do for experience and then go eat somewhere else. Came here a not too long ago for a friend's birthday. Compared to other melting pots I have been too, this was unfortunately the worst one. Because there was 4 of us we had two separate pots, Cheese appetizer was first, they started to mix everything and one of them was just pure liquid, the waiter left our table for awhile and we sat there trying to mix it ourselves. Eventually the waiter came back we said it was still liquid. It took them about an hour to realize there was no water at the bottom of our pot. Once everything was fixed the cheese was good. We then ordered a round of drinks and they never came. When we asked about our drinks again after 20 mins they said the bar was backed up and it would be right out...once again it never came. The entree was decent, some meats were a hit when the others missed its mark. It took awhile for dessert to come out, when it did they didn't even sing my friend happy birthday even after we paid for the balloons and roses on the table- the table next to us got sung to which we just found to be weird. I asked for a cappuccino and they said the machine was broken so I ordered a coffee instead, it came out cold. At the end of the meal I just asked for the manager because it was just one thing after another with this dinner. The manager was kind enough to give us $100 off our meal and she was very apologetic. Went to celebrate an anniversary there. It was the day of the recent storm and we were basically alone in the restaurant. They called me to confirm my reservation due to the snow and I'm glad they did as we noticed other restaurants were closed. I told them it was our anniversary and they did a little decor accordingly which was a nice touch. This was our first fondue so I have nothing to compare it to. Haven't been to the Melting Pot for many years and came here to try it. Plenty of street parking around the area, free on Sundays. Did not have to make a reservation, the restaurant is pretty big and we were seated right away. We were seated in a private corner, and looks like most tables are isolated in private rooms, which we liked. Our waitress was really nice, but the service was quite slow. Not sure if it's just how it's supposed to be, but our entire meal took about 2 hours, which for a regular restaurant I thought seemed like a long time. The food was not bad honestly it was better than what I had in mind. Our first course was the special grand reserve cheese fondue, which was a combo of honey bacon, sherry, and mix of cheese; tasted really good. We also enjoyed the different kind of steaks and such for our entree, and we got the raspberry dark chocolate fondue for dessert and it was also quite delicious. The price at the end was a lot more than what I had expected. I guess fondue is one of those special meals that you don't eat everyday, but although we everything tasted decent, I did not think the quality of the food was worth what we paid. My three friends and I came to the Melting Pot last night for a 9:30p reservation. We arrived so late we almost missed it! I was worried we'd need to postpone, but Priscilla, Sam, Sharneila and Amaya were terrific and took care of us, even though we kept them open an extra two hours by ourselves! We chose Vegan Cheese and Spinach Artichoke for the Cheese Fondue; Caesar salads; Steak Lovers, Land & Sea and the Garden Pot for the Entrée Fondue (Cast Iron Grill and Coq Au Vin styles), and S'mores for the Chocolate course. Everything was delectable, and the staff navigated the several allergies at the table deftly. It's a cool experience, I'm not gonna lie. $109 for a 4 course meal for 2 people (not including drinks). You start off with the cheese fondue, which comes with various breads and 1-2 vegetables. The next is the salad. I got the Caesar, which was delicious. After that, is your entrée, which is basically your meats. The most popular way to cook your meat is on a skillet, so that's exactly what we did, however, it can get annoying waiting for the food to cook. Lastly is the chocolate fondue, which comes with brownies, marshmallows, rice crispies, and pound cake, and it was so yummy. All in all, definitely come here with your partner because it's a very intimate and fun way to have a date night. However, I definitely don't think it is worth the $109 price tag. My family (parents and 6yo), decided to check out the Melting Pot Oktoberfest menu. Without a reservation, we were still seated promptly. Our server Danaya was wonderful! She was so accommodating for our son when ordering food and drinks. She knew I was sharing my meals with him and even made our plates of food match that. For example when our dessert came, we had 2/3 on our plate and my husband had 1/3. This kept any of us from having reach around the table. This extra special touch really went a long way to me. It made us feel valued especially with a child. The manager was present as well and helped fill drinks and see how everything was going. Everything was great from beginning to end. The Melting Pot in Westwood was a favorite of my family for years but, since it closed, we tried the one in White Plains. The happy birthday sign they promised was nowhere to be seen. My husband and I have been wanting try this place for a while and we finally did yesterday. Our expectations were exceeded. We got the bfff 4 course meal (a pretty good deal - it was a lot of food). We had the bacon Mac and cheese fondue which was absolutely delicious. The prefix entree was seasoned really really well, especially the steaks. For dessert we had the s'mores fondue which was mind blowing. It was rich but not overly sweet. And the desserts served with it were fantastic. The macaroons were shockingly delicious. Our server was polite and attentive, without being smothering, which can be a difficult balance. The owner even called us personally right after we left to let us know I left my purse at the table which saved us a huge hassle as we live in Connecticut, about a half hour drive. My only negative is that we had a corner booth (which was nice and romantic) and the burner was a bit far away. But I noticed it wasn't like that at the regular booths so next time we will just request one of those tables. We will definitely be back soon! read more

I've been here twice now and both times had terrible service for different reasons. The first time, the waiter tried his best to be friendly but was simply very bad at being a good serviceperson. He was a very awkward conversationalist, and instead of putting the guests at ease, I had to be the one to put him at ease. The second time was worse. The dude was straight trash. Late to come around (it's a theme here), rude tone in speech, and forgets to do what you asked him to do. Want water? Nope. Your salad course? Forget about it. Yes, you read that right. Of a four-course meal, the dude straight up forgot to give us the second course. It's the little and not so little things like this that make you reconsider coming here. The food really isn't excellent either. It's edible, and the drinks drinkable. Nothing quite worth your time or money. The one plus, really, is that it's fondue, and it's a unique experience. The waiters do well actually preparing the fondue setup and everything. There's nothing wrong with their fundamental offerings. It's just everything else around it that matters, and that you would expect to go smoothly that doesn't. Overall, go here for the fondue experience. I had visited this location a couple years ago and it's closer to home so I decided to take my parents for a visit, since the two closest to them closed. With it being around the thanksgiving holiday I was able to schedule my reservation online, and got a confirmation right away! Located right across from a giant shopping center there wasn't much street parking, and the meters are some of the most interesting..... one hour until 6, then 3 hours until 9 pm. Use the app if you plan to park on the street. Or, there is parking in the garage for the shopping center. Once you enter the front door, you have to go downstairs to the actual restaurant. There are stairs or an elevator. We were greeted promptly and seated quickly. Our server came by and she was awesome, I believe her name was Janette. Since we are regulars at the melting pot we know what we want, and how we want it! The fiesta cheese was amazing as always, and goes so fast! We had a couple of love martinis and the house red wine. All outstanding. We usually cook in coq au vin without mushrooms since I have an allergy. Yes, they do well with honoring your food allergies. For dessert we had the s'mores fondue with dark chocolate, and as a bonus for checking into yelp we got an enhanced plate of cheese cake and extra fruit. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have been a loyal customer of the melting pot for years and I have never been disappointed. However, this is my first time at this location and will now be my last. To begin, I came here with friends I had not seen in years and was expecting it to be a lively evening. We started off by getting two different cheeses and they were tasty, but the portions were extremely tiny. At the other locations, the cheeses are almost to the top of the pot but these were pretty close to being less than 1/2 full. Our waiter was NOT good at all. First off, his hands looked filthy and he had his elf bar sticking out of his front pocket. Also he was extremely rude. We also ate dessert here and same situation, which tasty, the portion was very very tiny. My husband and I went to The Melting Pot in White Plains for Valentine's Day. It was the first time I was going inside a restaurant in 2 years, as I'm immunocompromised. I'd just gotten my booster shot (10 days prior), but was still anxious about the risk. When I spoke to Ellen on the phone to make the reservation, she was funny, friendly, and helpful above and beyond, and said they'd be sure to take good care of me. When NY dropped the mask mandate, I got scared again and e-mailed to check on covid precautions at the restaurant. Tony wrote back, once again reassuring me and letting me know they would take good care of us. When we arrived that evening, my husband and I were floored. From the moment of our arrival, everyone was incredibly friendly (while masked, from a safe distance). When they showed us to our table, it was perfect - it was an isolated area, decorated so beautifully with rose petals, balloons, and more - like you'd see in a romantic movie. Tony came by to check in on us a couple of times, and our waiter George did all he could to ensure that we were more than satisfied every step of the way. That evening was so much more than I hoped for. I expected the yummy food (& great company), but the service -- which is always good there to begin with -- really made me feel like I could just relax and enjoy the night out, something I hadn't done in 2 years. This is a great intimate experience. I was surprised at the secluded seating areas in "lovers lane". They were essentially booths but you couldn't see the other diners in the establishment. Especially since my wife and i were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I had set up some flowers and balloons for the occasion, which are priced separately. They seem to have something for every occasion, birthdays, holidays, etc... when we arrived, they had a tv set up with a slideshow of all the guests celebrating a special occasion. Of course ours was displayed which was pretty cool. They gave us some time to take a pic with the display. Then we were seated. We weren't far from the entrance but you really wouldn't know since the booth was pretty private with great lighting and music playing in the background throughout the establishment. Our booth was personalized with balloons and roses for the special occasion. Our server was Stephane and she was awesome. At the beginning, things started a bit slow but she apologized and things picked up pretty quickly. We started off with drinks. I had the whiskey business and my wife had the virgin strawberry basil. Both were really good. Didn't need more than one drink. Stephanie explained the menu and answered all the questions we had. It's a different dining experience compared to more traditional restaurants. It's kind of like Korean BBQ style but with fondue / cooking pot. We started off with the quarto formaggio which was pretty good. It came with veggies, bread bite and green apple chunks. Next was the main course. We opted in for the create your own since we both have dietary restrictions with the mojo pot. I had chicken and steak. My wife had salmon, tuna and chicken. The meats came with potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms. The meats were raw and you had to cook them in the mojo pot. It's all cooked n the same pot. There are other types of cooking styles. Stephanie brought and info tent detailing the cooking times for all the food. At first glance, it didn't seem like a lot of food but it was indeed filling and tasty. Finally we finished off the experience with the S'mores chocolate fondue. It came with different types of pastry bites like pound cake, brownie and cookie. It also had some bananas and strawberries and chocolate covered marshmallows. All in all, this was a great memorable experience. I would definitely do it again.
