We haven't been to The Melting Pot in a couple years. I've been craving it for some time and I am so happy we went! We had reservations on a Saturday and were seated right at our reservation time. Drink orders were taken right away. It was very busy for a March Saturday around 5:30. What could have been the manager brought us our drinks and took our food order. Shortly after our server stopped by and started our cheese. Everything was delicious! We also loved our salads. My husband and I both tried two different drinks each and all were phenomenal. I love the darker vibes of this restaurant. I also really enjoy the full experience. Do not come here to eat if you are in a hurry. If you are prepared for your meal to be around 2 hours, you will be fine. Our steak was flavorful and tender. The chocolate fondue was to die for. Service was wonderful. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. We had a great time!

A nice place to spend romantic evenings. We ordered mango lemonade, Wisconsin cheese fondue, and turtle Caramel chocolate fondue. The lemonade was perfect, the accurate balanced taste of sour and sweet. 5/5 The cheese fondue comes with sides of bread cubes, apple, and vegetables. It was made of vegetables soup base because we ordered non alcoholic ones. It was fine but a little too salty to me. I wish if there are more options like grapes and Crackers to add to the side. 2/5 The chocolate fondue was very good! It came with sides of strawberry, pineapple, bond cake cubes, cookies cake cubes, ric crisp cubes, and Oreo marshmallow. It was perfect melted texture and contains pecan pieces. 5/5 We ordered a side of sea salted carmel cheesecake. It comes with side of cream puffs and berries. very creamy and gooey. I rate it 5/5 They make all fondues at your table, Which is disturbing because the garlic and spices smells will stick to your clothes. To me, it wasn't so romantic to go out wearing garlic perfume during a date night. Maybe It might be better to bring a spare clothes to change after visiting the restaurant. I might come back but for take out and chocolate fondues only.

I don't often go to major chain restaurants, but we came here for a special occasion treat meal. We splurged on the "bigger night out" menu which is your choice of cheese fondue and dessert fondue, choice of salad, and every kind of protein for the main including filet and lobster. It's a fun and different dining experience that forces you to slow down and enjoy it, which we liked! We got the French onion gruyere cheese fondue, the mojo style for the entree, and the yin yang chocolate fondue. All were good. My favorite protein was the filet and my favorite dessert dipper was the brownie. I also got a house salad, and I loved the tangy honey mustard dressing. They will bring you extra cheese/ dessert dippers on request, and I got extra brownies to indulge in! I believe the check said our server's name was Charlee... we had a trainee and trainer and they were great. I look forward to coming back to try different options!

Had a lovely experience at The Melting Pot tonight for my husbands birthday. The food was amazing and so much fun to cook by ourselves! We did the 4 course meal option. We started off with the Wisconsin Cheese fondue. Yum. The servers prepare it at your table and then let you do the dipping. Then we had salads. Husband had the house salad with peppercorn ranch. I had the Caesar salad. Both were okay. Then came the main entree. Husband got the steak lovers, I got the create your own with chicken and a couple different steaks. The teriyaki steak was our favorite out of all the meat. Again, was really cool to be able to cook our own food right at the table. Ended the meal with the classic chocolate fondue which had chunky peanut butter in it. *chefs kiss* Would definitely go again. Overall, great experience. Ben (our server) was also pretty awesome!

We've been going to the melting pot for 8 years now. We love the atmosphere and the stay and linger pace. Tonight we were celebrating our anniversary. Started with the classic alpine for our cheese. I had the Caesar salad and my husband had the california. My husband had the steak lovers and I had the classic for our entrees. My absolute favorite thing here is the sauces. The plum sauce with the shrimp is delicious. I like to mix the curry and teriyaki for my chicken. The Gorgonzola port is my absolutely favorite - great with all the steaks. I like to mix Gorgonzola and green goddess for my veggies. We had a bananas foster chocolate years ago (white chocolate with brandy and cinnamon) and they will still make it here upon request! Our favorite! Pound cake is delicious with it! We love this place, reliable and consistent. Took off a star because over the years the options served on their cheese and chocolate plates have dwindled.

Perfect place for a date night out and in my opinion they have the best non alcoholic cute mocktails. Dinner was great, just takes a little bit of time if its busy this sunday night the service was a little slow but worth it since it was date night! Will def be back!

The whole thing $50

My jaw dropped when I opened the bag. The amount of food for $50 is absolutely ridiculous. The smallest amount of Cut up celery, carrots, apples etc. This was my first and last time ordering from The Melting Pot. I won't waste my money.

French Onion Gruyère - served with 0 veggies. Looks like bottom of basket of bread was dumped on our tray.

We were disappointed with our first time visiting. Although they tell you to expect 2 hours for the 4-course experience, expect to be there much longer because everything takes FOREVER. We had reservations at 8pm for my birthday. We were immediately sat however by 8:30pm, all we had was our drinks (which took about 20 minutes to come to our table after we ordered). I ordered the "love cocktail" and was not impressed and my fiancé ordered a pineapple drink off the non-alcoholic drink menu. After he finished his first, he ordered another and the second time it came out it was full of syrup and not like the first drink at all. (See pics to see the difference) My BIGGEST complaint; we were missing items! And because it was our first time, I didn't realize until I re-read the menu and checked other reviews after we left. We did not receive ANY veggies the WHOLE night. Our cheese fondue came with only white bread and apples, no veggies like the menu says. It looks like we got the bottom of the basket of bread too because of the crumbs dumped onto our tray. We upgraded to the steak lovers entrees, which were also supposed to be accompanied with veggies (looks like potatoes and broccoli are supposed to be included); and we did not receive those either! If you're paying over $90 for experience... I would expect EVERYTHING to come with it or to be told they need to substitute because they're out; not figure it out myself that we didn't get everything. Next, over the whole 2+ hour experience, my water was not refilled once and each drink that we ordered (with no alcohol) took literally 20-30 minutes to arrive. At one point, I thought they forgot about us. After we finished our entrees, it took 20 minutes for our server to check on us and see that we were ready for our chocolate fondue. I'm giving 3-stars because we really liked the food - it was good. But the whole experience was extremely disappointing. We were also there for my birthday, included on our reservation when we made it and told our waitress... and nothing special was done. Based on other reviews, they normally do *something* to make it special so it was a let down that all I got was a "happy birthday" from our waitress.

This my first experience here for a dine in. We tried : - Wisconsin Cheese Fondue - Turtle Caramel Chocolate Fondue - Lemonade Juice with Mango Syrup Pros : - A cozy beautiful restaurant for a romantic dinner - Their Chocolate Fondue is really good and delightful - The employees are super friendly and helpful with great service Cons : - The prices are expensive (The whole order was for almost $50, and we didn't order main courses) - The Cheese Fondue was too salty, plus the spices smell was too strong that it got stuck in our clothes so badly that you have to wash it. - The menu shows prices for one, and we ordered one order of each plate, but when we got the check, they put the order for 2 of each plate without clarifying that to us. I recommend this place for having dessert and chocolate for a romantic date, that's it.

What alcohol drinks melting pot has?

Extensive, the list is! Using Google, you should try; or phone number.

Is the 4 course price per person, or are these shareable?

The price is designed to be per person, but the three adults in my household always order for two and add on an extra salad. We leave stuffed every time!

We picked the heirloom tomato & melon salad, green beans, spaghetti, scallops, and Italian steak. Everything was delicious, but the standouts for me were the green beans and spaghetti. I honestly wasn't even considering the spaghetti, but our server recommended it and I'm SO glad she did -- it ended up being one of our favorites! Service was lovely from start to finish, and I would definitely come back.

Service was cheerful and attentive without being pretentious and annoying. Otherwise, an excellent experience. Following the oysters was the beef tartare with those amazing gluten free seed crackers. They really need to sell those crackers! (They were gracious enough to give us a little stash to take home!). The beef tartare was a tad too cold, but it had a delicious combination of flavors to complement the beef, the most assertive was the Calabrian peppers. The dish was spicy with a touch of sweetness. I feel bad for people who order it without the crackers! However, if you're a beef tartare purist may not care for the additions. Next were the green beans - if green beans were this fresh and prepared like this, I would eat them all the time. They were lightly charred and served in a vinaigrette with aged ricotta salada (one thought there was too much vinaigrette). The last dish was duck confit "salad". The duck was outstanding, nicely crisped and perfectly cooked, with rich flavor. There really was no salad to speak of. The plums and the plum vinaigrette were very light - perhaps they could have had just a bit more flavor to complement and highlight the duck. Really, it's nit-picking - it was a solid dish. The loudness experienced during the previous visit wasn't an issue this time. The wines by the glass, while limited, were good. This is one of the very few times (outside of the Boonville Hotel), in which we have not been disappointed in a repeat visit.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was kind and welcoming. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a wagyu sirloin that had a red wine reduction, crispy onions, potato gratin and garlic green beans. We also ordered two kids trays which were priced very fair at $9 for the options and amount of food received. Our kids had the fried chicken tenders, grilled steak and picked sides of fries, mashed potatoes and fruit. The kids trays also came with drinks. Since this was a birthday celebration or server did make it special by brining a sweet treat and candle and even discounted my meal! Some things to think about when planning a visit: The restaurant is very loud. Make a reservation! It is popular. Plan parking! The area is full of great restaurants so parking is tough. I thought an old fashioned was an old fashioned, but this one was delicious and available for happy hour, can't beat that! Then at the bartenders recommendation, I had the meatballs for appetizer and the hangar steak for entree. First, the meatballs, very good, I'd give it a 4/5 minimum. Portion was very respectable, meant for a shareable appetizer but it was just me lol. The ricotta is a delicious touch. Then the hangar steak. It's the best steak I can remember having in a long time, and on a relatively inexpensive cut such as a hangar. I just can't express enough how impressed I was with it. And I'm not a sauce with steak type but the aioli just completes it so well. 5/5, and I'm pretty picky. If I come back to Grand Rapids I will visit here at least once.
