Stopped I n for a cocktail or two before our dinner reservation. Very quaint with a lot of food. Feels like home! Our bartender, Diana, (sometimes known as Jessica...)was awesome. Super cold perfect martini's, vodka sodas, beer and something delectable called the Jack Lemmon. This is going to be a forever stop when visiting Flagstaff. read more

This place was really nice. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The ambiance was perfect. You Are in the heart of downtown. The food was relatively affordable and it was great quality. My husband got the steak and frites and I got the chicken tacos. Both were flavorful but not overpowering. The cocktails were great as well. I highly recommend. read more

Burger was okay asked for a medium but it came out fully cooked. Wings and Fries were great, I loved the seasoning on the fries. The service was fast considering it was pretty busy. Would come here again for the wings and fries. read more

We started off looking for a coffee and a sandwich but peeked in here and felt the sweet coolness of air conditioning and decided to have a late lunch and a beer instead. So many of the restaurants we had walked into were way too warm, so McMillans was a big relief for us. It was mid afternoon, their customers were mostly seated at the bar, and the hostess showed us at a cool, comfortable booth. Service was on point. Our server answered our questions, brought everything out quickly and was very pleasant. Unfortunately they did not have her name on the receipt, but she did a great job. We ordered the smothered fries which were crazy good- nothing healthy, only deliciousness. We also had the wings and the Caesar Salad with chicken. Generous portions and everything was fresh and tasty. Loved the extra flavorful croutons and the wedges of lemon too. We each had a drink and all three of us left full for right around $100 plus tip. read more

Service was just way too slow. They are likely understaffed, who knows nowadays, but in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday, a little more prompt service is needed. We had a drink each and their spinach and artichoke dip. Very very good. And the stone walls are a unique touch for the decor. read more

A solid 3. Service was great. Beer selection was good. Food was mid. I had a salad. Would return and would try something else to eat.

So bad. Seriously, just so bad. The waitress seemed put off she had to leave the bar. Someone's backpack, lap top, and personal belongings were strewn all over a table next to us like they were getting the food order done in the dining room. 1/3 of the menu was blacked out with sharpie, and when we went to order off the happy hour menu we were told they were out of the items. The hamburgers clearly came out of a frozen box. All of the food was pretty bad, to be honest. I will never go again. I don't mind paying for a delicious meal, but save your money on this one. read more

Great service and nice atmosphere. The beer was cold. Martinis were tasty. They have $5 Martinis on thursday! Their happy hour had a good amount of different options to pick from. read more

The McMillan has been a favorite for several years now. I was craving steak and remembered having a very good steak here a few years ago, so here I went again. It did not disappoint. The Steak Frites is a generous portion of hanger steak with fries (of course) and a field greens salad. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, the fries were fresh, and the greens were fresh and tasty. I'm not a small man and I was perfectly happy with the portions. I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shout-out to the servers. Immediately upon being seated I was served much-needed water. Within minutes my server appeared and the next thing I knew my beer arrived followed by my steak in short order. I've been here on busy nights, slow nights, and everything in between and have always received lightning fast, very friendly service. If you want great food served by friendly people, The McMillan is the place for you. read more

Service was good and life music was really nice. Although my husband and I both ordered medium burgers and mine came out medium rare. Which kinda sucked since I'm pregnant but I ate his burger instead lol. We informed the waiter. Other than that, it did taste good. read more

Had dinner here with 4 other friends. They are regulars in the area. Ambiance I Awesome old Well Fargo Bank Building with old school rock walls and clean restrooms!! Service - Was great! No complainys from our table of 6. All couples got separate checks with no grief from the staff. Food - Burgers (2) were cooked perfectly and good. Nothing special. Pozole (2) was pleaseantlty surprising. My wife is a Pozole Pro and liked it a lot. Critique - while flavorful the meat was minimal. But still a bit spicy for the average person. Mac & Cheese w/ bacon - BOMB! This large bowl of goodness was devaoured by the table. It was killer! Creamy, texture just all around great flavor in a large bowl! Mixed some into the pozole and it was life changing! Cocktails - 2 weak old Fashions. We had higher exceptions. Good to see what looked like a luxardo cherry. Beers cold and water was plentiful. read more

Great place to grab dinner before a concert. Had the bacon blue burger and the angus 66 or whatever burger with fries and salad. Soooo delicious. Great service and tried their new cheesecake dessert :) read more

This place doesn't close until 12 am. We came here at 8:55 pm because it came up as "kid friendly" when we walked in, every single person that worked here looked at us like we had 12 eyes and 15 legs. They turned us away saying the kitchen was closed and they refused our service. 5 kids over 7 and 5 adults. Could've served us multiple entrees and multiple cocktails and made hundreds of dollars but instead, turned us away. read more

We went on a Wednesday evening, in time for happy hour. Their salsa is the best in Flagstaff, in my opinion anyway. Also loved the sweet potato fries with curry dip. The service was prompt and friendly. Our mains had more mixed reviews but everything was good, just not at the high bar set by the fries. I had his tacos and they were fine. Not worth having again, but still good. Oh, and did I mention cheesecake? So very good. Someone else had a skillet cookie that looked tasty but I was busy with the cheesecake so I didn't try any. I thought the prices were fair, and the worst item we ordered was still pretty darned good. The steak fries ordered by two people both got glowing reviews. read more

Visiting flagstaff and found this place on yelp. I liked the menu options, simple but SO GOOD. We started with a "Beeting" a delicious drink with some gin and beet juice and some other good stuff. I don't really drink gin and I recommend. I had the grilled salmon with quinoa, broccolini and lemon herb dressing..it was really good. My friend got the steak a frites...that was also fire. Meat was perfectly cooked tender and was incredible. Perfectly sized portions, good prices for how much food you get. It's one of the best meals I have had in a while. The service was good, food came quick! It was moderately busy in there for a Friday night, and the food came quicker than we expected. The drink options are all creative and really good. $14 for most mixed drinks, less for happy hour. The vibes in there were good, low warm lighting and some live music (old guy with a keyboard) that was actually great. Overall great experience and still thinking about how good that meal was, I had to write a review. read more

My group rented the party room in the back and it, like the whole place, has lots of ambiance! Stone walls, dark, live music, the whole deal. Ask about the historic building/what it used to be for a bit of Flagstaff history. We had a very kind server who was attentive and gave us recommendations on food and drinks. I highly recommend the smothered fries (they have caramelized onions AND cheese curds!!), fried Brussel sprouts, and the chips with salsa and guacamole. The Mac and cheese was pretty bland, so go for the starters instead. read more

My wife and I stopped in for a drink and ended up having dinner. Great, relaxing atmosphere. Live entertainment. Very attentive bartenders. The menu is fairly limited. I had the blue cheese burger. Burger was dry and not what I would expect for a $20 burger. My wife had fish and chips. Generous portion of fish and quite tasty. I would go that route if we return. read more

The McMillan is a very charming establishment in a beautiful building. Its location is great, with views of downtown and Route 66. Inside, picture brick, wood, and leather. The drinks were top notch. Didn't get any food, but will definitely go back again to try more. read more

I didn't come here for the cocktails, just the food. I did hear that they are known for good ones, though for now, let us talk about the food. An order of chicken wings appetizer and then French fries topped with steak. A salad on the side. Everything was good. Plenty of wings we couldn't even finish the order. They were on the larger size. The fries are beer battered and they were amazing. Crispy, not too greasy, and cooked the right amount of time. 10/10! The steak was in a chimichurri sauce typical of an Argentinian dish and I ordered it medium rare. The flavor was rich and it was full of fat flavor but not marbled. Wonderful! The side salad was simple and great to have with the fries and steak. This dish was a great blend of everything I wanted in a dinner meal. The meat, the potato, and the salad. Well done all around I would recommend this place for a cozy night out. read more

I had to Margarita's at happy and ordered the Salmon off the happy hour menu. First thing I lived in Flagstaff for 60 years. Things are expensive here and the city hotel restaurant tax is 13%. My margaritas were small, adequate at best. Salmon was bland but cooked right. The quinoa it was served on was terrible . Service was good. Would not recommend the food. Drinks only place. $44 for a small piece of poorly done salmon and 2 small margaritas. I felt like a tourist in my home town read more

The pozole was delicious, but that didn't make up for the amount of time it took to get our food and the messed-up order I estimate we sat for 10 minutes before someone took our order. Then our waiter managed to get our order wrong....we watched the table next to us arrive 5 minutes after us and get their food five minutes before us. Just not an enjoyable experience. read more

We were skeptical of the food, to be honest. Didn't have the best reviews. Personal opinion... phenomenal. We were frustrated that we couldn't find an open Thai restaurant after working the Blues fest. We were skeptical about ordering here, but it was what was open. Super delicious chicken phad thai! Food service & ambiance were also excellent on our Friday evening. read more

Really enjoyed our dinner here. We got seated right away, water arrived before we all even sat down, the craft cocktails were tasty (especially the the Benny), we all got the grilled salmon, and we all cleaned out plates. Chicken and Fish Tacos were equally ldry and almost flavorless. Service was not any better. Try the Lumberyard!

My family and I tried to have dinner at McMillans on 3/22/25 and were treated horribly by the host right off the bat. We went in at 6 pm asking for a wait time knowing they would close at 12 am and she had disgusting attitude waving her arms around suggesting we find someplace else to eat. We looked at each other confused as to why she was treating us that way until she finally said "i mean i can put you on a waitlist IF YOU WANT" and so we did put a name and number down but ended up taking our service to Fat Olives (thank god) but it was 1 am that same night when we realized McMillans never sent us a text or anything. I tried making a review when it happened and the general manager contacted me asking me to email them so they can send me a gift card but i never got a response and they managed to have yelp delete my review. Shame on them read more

Sat for 15 minutes before our server came over on a slow night, spent $26 for 4 bites of steak, and everything was just really overpriced.

The team @ The McMillan, along with the food & cocktails is what keeps me as a repeat customer. Diana, Jeren, Jay, Conner, Aleta et Al are friendly, fun & professionals. But it all begins with the hostess, Amelia...She's fun, spunky & quick to respond to requests whenever I ask. She's also fun to chat with about life...I always talk this place up around FLG& have brought family & friends visiting from out of town & they love it too...Highest recommendation, ya'all... read more

Very good drinks and apps! I absolutely love the vibe here though so I will definitely be back to enjoy snacks and drinks with friends. There is a room you can rent out for private events which is what my party did and it was awesome! Enough room for about 10 of us! Our server was friendly and attentive! Prices were a tad higher but the apps and drinks were so worth it. Mac and cheese needs some extra love but all in all I had a very enjoyable time here eating and drinking. Brussel sprouts took the cake that night! So good!! read more

Wow is an understatement, we came last night after lumberyard had some issues with their systems and couldn't seat us, and I am so thrilled! We asked our server (who happened to be the bartender) suggestion on food, she said steak frites and the Thai bowl so we got both and shared. Man I wish I got both to myself they were so tasty! It was Friday night and they had an awesome live band, which didn't get too loud and it seemed that they worked as a team which we loved! Will definitely be back every time we visit flagstaff!! Ps. The service industry is struggling right now, be patient and tip your servers! read more

I love the wood and stone and dim lighting atmosphere of this place. Offer good menu choices and everyone at my table enjoyed it. I had the Brisket Burger and the crispy batter type fries. We rode here as a group of 25 people. When I return to Flagstaff I would come back that's for sure read more

Hands down best place in flag. Great cocktails and epic food. Been coming for years and always a highlight! Service is great!

Food: 2nd time I've tried this place, the first was over 3 years ago, must not of been great then either. Ordered the fish and chips, supposedly rock fish, batter was wet and greasy, the fish a bit dry. Fries were fries, just average. Nothing else came with it, no slaw? My co dinners had wings and they were average, sauce on the side and a average Cesar salad. Ambiance: cozy with warm lighting, booths or tables, nice view of trains Service: average, waitress never asked how the food was read more

One of my favorite bars in the Flagstaff area has to be McMillan Bar and Kitchen! I visited this location with three other friends on New Years eve and it was very busy (holidays, very understandable). We were seated after 45 minutes which was not too bad and as a plus we got to dine in the cool, little arcade room. We had an awesome waitress who was very friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and a bowl of Mac & Cheese (with bacon) to share for the table. The sandwich was good but everyone at the table couldn't stop eating the Mac & Cheese! Using the excuse, "Go big or go home," we were even dipping our fries into the mac n cheese. It has to be one of THE BEST MAC & CHEESES each of us has ever had! I would definitely want to try other things when I go back, but it would be so hard to pass up that Mac & Cheese. It doesn't stop there! A very pleasant surprise was also the dessert: the Tres Leches Cake. Some of us were even skeptical at the table but in the end it was the best dessert. It was the perfect amount of sweet! I'm so glad I finished an amazing year at this amazing location! The food, the atmosphere, classic arcade games and service was top-notch! I will be back in 2018. read more
