See our Reno 5 star review for Mattress Firm... This would have been our 3rd purchase from the brand. Quality/Quantity - Came in for the black friday sale. Maybe I should not have started the conversation with the "show me the affordable value" section?!?! Well he showed us a few mattresses but could NOT explain the difference to my daughter. He hesitantly showed us a few others after having to ask. He would not tell us the price, he said "just look at the tag." He would not tell us the current warranties, he just handed me a piece of paper. We normally would have asked the other salesperson to help, but I could tell she was not in the mood to work either... Every time we had a question, he would walk away and we would have to call him back. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Plenty of street and mall parking. Service - I get it, retail, black friday, early (earlier than usual) sales, etc. I get it, but all that does not justify the lack of service. Well no service. Actually, if anything, offensive service. For management this was on 11/29 at approximately 1pm with the man. Not busy at all, I think only one other customer. Two employees are just sitting at the desk, one female, one male. Guess he got the short end of the straw??? He also gave us a lot of wrong information on deliveries, warranties, exchanges, etc. Anyways, he kept walking away back to his desk to gossip with his co-worker. After the second time he did that, we just left. This is next level rude and lazy. I know it is hard to find good people, but this guy should NOT work with the public. Price - $800, but we did NOT buy. At least we will NOT buy through him. Management really needs to visit this location. Finally I found our European Sleep Works Mattress and could sleep comfortably again. It developed a bit of a sunk in spot two years ago so needed to be replaced. Our new mattress is every bit as comfortable as the first one. We expect it will prove equally durable. I'm so grateful we didn't need to go one a year long quest again to find a superb mattress. I did read the post mentioning mold smell in the showroom. We noticed that too. We were not there long enough to be affected and the mattresses are not made or stored there so it didn't bother us, but we felt some concern for the staff working there full time. I suspect the smell could be a big negative from a marketing perspective. Fortunately, we already had great confidence in the product.
