I've been coming to this studio for about a year now and when I say this reignited my passion for working out! I moved to the area about two years and was apprehensive on trying a new workout studio after taking classes at a Club Pilates in the area however after taking my first class at The Mat that fear quickly disappeared. Joselyn and Crstyal are super kind and offer some of the best classes i've ever taken! They offer a variety of different class styles with different instructors as well who are ALL wonderful at what they do! Everyone has their own style and music preferences which is amazing because there is a class for everyone! My go-to instructors are Emily, Joselyn, Crystal, Brittany and Mary although I have tried everyone and they are amazing those instructors just have class times that work best with my schedule! The pricing at this studio is amazing, it's not overpriced like most studios and their parking is super accessible! They offer a variety of options from $28 drop ins to class pack to memberships. The studio itself is so cute and welcoming, Immediately when you walk in the instructor is there to check you in. There are cubbies as well where we are able to place our belongs before heading into the heated space to begin class. There is a bathroom in the studio that is stocked with deodorant as well as pads for emergencies which eases my mind when it's that time of the month. Overall I know I have found a safe community to be able to move my body again. I would and have DEFINITELY recommend this studio to anyone interested! read more

I LOVE IT HERE! I first came to The Mat with a friend to try their Inferno Hot Pilates class - I had no idea what to expect. And WOW - I'm hooked! The class definitely challenges you to get outside of your comfort zone and you walk out feeling refreshed, recharged, and a bit sweaty lol! I always walk out knowing it's a good class when I've lost a couple of lashes along the way. The instructors make you feel welcomed and take time to get to know your name. They offer a variety of classes. I have done the hot yoga and hot Pilates. Both are great the instructors are very motivating and the workouts are amazing. Definitely come prepared with your own mat. They do offer some for you to borrow but if you get Icked out like me by all the sweat it's better to just bring your own. Prepare to sweat! Drink plenty of water before your class and bring a towel. Great local hot yoga spot in Vallejo. I recommend taking a class with Melina! She plays the best music, takes requests, and has great energy. I have taken classes with other instructors as well and did enjoy them too. Each instructor has their own style so definitely try out all they have to offer. Book classes ahead of time as they become full very quickly, but in my experience I'm still able to get into the classes when added to the waitlist. It can feel crowded at times in the studio since the space is on the smaller side, so be aware of that. read more

I've been seeing a lot of people I know posting and taking classes at this studio located in Hiddenbrooke. So me and my friend tried the 3 day free trial classes. We did 9am classes started with the Hot Power Flow (which we loved), Y Sculpt, and Inferno Hot Pilates. All of the instructors were so friendly and inviting, especially if it was your first class. It felt like a very family friendly oriented studio with great instructors for all kinds of levels. Over the weekends the classes do become very full and packed. Located in a small shopping plaza there is still parking. You sign up for classes online/an app and there are so many options, times, and offerings. As well as different types of class passes. I enjoyed my free trial and I plan to take more in the future. The majority of their classes are hot classes where it doesn't go over 107 degrees, all an hour long and such a great workout and I also enjoyed all of their music choices during class. read more

I was a first time customer to the Mat this past week. They had a free client deal, so I wanted to check it out. It's not every day you can find a hot yoga studio nearby. I attended a pilates class and woke up the next day SORE. The studio itself is small and cozy. It was a packed space, I was happy to see a lot of people there tbh. The temp actually gets too hot, at one point the thermostat said 104 and it was a lot for me haha! I wanted to stop by to do a yoga class and see how that went! So nice that this place is local.
