I attended the Yin, Slow Flow & Restorative Yoga for Everybody class taught by Laura. I have nothing but great things to say! Upon entry. Laura warmly greeted me and instantly made me feel welcome. The studio is spacious and still practicing Covid guidelines because there are markers for where to place your yoga mat. You have to bring your own yoga mat and wear a mask. However, I love all the props that are provided! I used the blocks and pillows for extra support during stretches. Laura had such a calming and relaxing voice. I loved how she asked the class what part of the body we would like to focus on. She came around each person and helped assist with poses which I really appreciated! I got the most out of the class with her feedback for me! This class had me so relaxed and zen I felt I melted into my mat. Thank you Laura, looking forward to more classes here! read more

I took classes here a long time ago and it was fine but the prices are far too high given there is so much competition and free YouTube yoga plus I feel my daughter who is a young adult was treated unfairly. She booked a class but accidentally booked the wrong day and when she realized it staff basically so sad, too bad and she couldn't make it the day she booked. She was too afraid to speak up but I'm not and should have a long time ago as it's the major reason we won't return. read more

Vallejo Yoga is a joy! All of their classes are wonderful. My favorite class is Saturday 8:30 am Yoga for Every Body with Paisley - she's so welcoming and friendly. She always offers modifications so the poses can be as gentle or energetic as you want to be. It's a great way to start your weekend! read more

Thought it was a nice introduction to the fundamentals of yoga as a newb. I thought the environment felt very comforting with nice lighting, and a cool feel with temp for the room was all very inviting. Unfortunately for myself during the time I found there pricing kind of high due to the fact that there is so much competition out there at more competitive to even free services like you tube etc., that make not signing up truly compelling. Nonetheless a warm community that I have recommended to others. Oh also I will not forget to input the fact that they say its a free class plus donation. Dariece was always great! Welcoming and friendly. The instructors were really sweet and many of the attendees were older, which was great because I was just starting out. My only complaints are that incense were used during a session with Rhonda and I was really allergic to it. Also, I possibly contracted the H1N1 virus after a class. I hadn't gone anywhere for a couple days outside the apartment and only went to yoga down the street. Another yoga classmate sounded super sick. She was sneezing and coughing during the whole class, and I ended up crazy sick afterwards. I would recommend bringing your own mat and taking a shower immediately after class. And of course, don't go to class if you're feeling ill. Please don't spread it to others. read more

Vallejo Yoga is a gem place in Vallejo. The first time I joined it was in 2015 because I was having a horrible pain in my lower back! it helped me tremendously! My doctor told me to keep doing whatever I was doing because it was working. I stopped all the pain killers! I lost weight and I was very flexible. When I stopped going to the Vallejo yoga studio, I did some yoga at home by myself. I became kind of lazy. I had other health issues, I gained weight and then Covid! more issues. I decided to go back to yoga and because a more flexible schedule I enrolled myself in one yoga studio in Walnut Creek. I only went there one day. What a difference with Vallejo Yoga! First, the teacher started the class without any kind of meditation, offering or any introduction at the beginning. From there everything felt like I was in the army receiving orders while the teacher walked around the class. Maybe this works for some people but not for me. I went back to my Vallejo Yoga. I was welcomed like a family member by Dariece. The classes are as wonderful as they were before or better, if that is possible. The environment/ambience is so spiritual. The teachers are absolutely amazing! Laura and Paisley's classes are helping me to recover my health, uplifting my spirituality and connecting me with myself again. I feel so connected with the teachers and with some of the students. I feel better and great after each class. Dariece, the owner is absolutely out of this world, so kind and compassionate, she always have a smile and words of encouragement and compassion, and she even has the time to send personal emails when she knows that we are not feeling well. All her classes reflect all the deep knowledge she has about this practice and also she practices Reiki! I feel totally blessed to be part of this wonderful Vallejo community. It helped me in the past with my back pain(L5-S1 bad discs) and now is helping me with other health issues that are still a puzzle for my doctors. For me Yoga (Vallejo Yoga) is my spiritual and physical medicine! I am so grateful for that. read more

Nothing but good reviews for this place and I can see why! I started a 1-week new-comer package which offers unlimited classes for 7 days. So far, I've really enjoyed the class I went to taught by Amy. She's so hospitable, high-spirited and kind. Classes are mostly Vinyasa and Hatha in different forms and for different levels. I didn't realize how more advanced I could get and Amy helped me achieve both headstand pose AND shoulder stand pose! I was shocked but she was so encouraging and is an amazing instructor who gently pushed my practice. There were just 6 so lots of hands-on adjustments were offered. The space is very clean and inviting, my old yoga studio used to make me pay to rent a mat if I didn't have one and Vallejo Yoga doesn't do that - no judgement and pretentiousness here. Payments are in cash and their system is entirely paper-based including class check-ins etc. There is ample free parking on the street and across the street and I had no problem finding a place to park. I am new to Vallejo Yoga and I don't have enough good things to say about this studio. I have taken classes with Susan, Dominique and Bernard so far and they have all been amazing!Susan class way very intense and a great workout. Dominque's was relaxing and almost spiritual. She has amazing energy. Bernard's class was about precision and knowing your body. After the class, my body felt so much more balanced and symmetrical. I highly recommend Vallejo Yoga. read more

Today was my first class at Vallejo yoga. I had such a lovely experience that I signed up for a one month unlimited pass which is only $60 when you purchase on your first visit (trust me, this is cheap when you start comparing yoga studios). The space is bright and clean and has a couple bathrooms. I loved the tiny Buddha shrine with one candle lit during our class, it helped create a very positive and restful atmosphere. I took a few rounds of the beginners 6 week class here and loved it! Dariece was the main instructor but was soon joined by Kippy who helped keep the class in good form The space is bigger now than when it used to be upstairs. Clean, bright and comfortable. Attended a class for the first time with Amy. She was fantastic! Clearly knowledgeable and super attentive.

This is the place where REAL people do yoga! This is cute, small downtown location, yoga studio, but by no means a small fish. All the instructors here are great. Well I have only taken classes with Rhonda, but even during some of her classes Dariece ( she is also a yoga instructor) sits in. So that right there should tell you how great the staff is there. I found out about this place through an internet search and I am beyond happy I did. When I wanted to start I simply emailed Rhonda, told her what I had along the line of experience and my schedule and she picked the perfect classes for me. When I went to my first class, everyone was warm welcoming and friendly. The studio provides everything you need for the classes, like mats (which are clean) blocks (to help you during yoga) blankets and eye pillows( for the meditation part of the class) and everything else you can think of. There is nothing bad about this place at all. They even sent me a FREE class for my birthday along with a card. Now that is customer service. I can't go as much as I like since I have such a hectic work schedule, but soon as it gets back to normal, I will be here again. Please tell everyone you know to tell someone they know...yes it is really that great of a place. read more

I love this studio and I love love love the instructors. Dariece and Rhonda are very gentle, caring, nurturing, and understanding. They helped get me back into the swing of yoga after not doing it for 4-5 years and my best friend who has never done it before was gently eased in. If the poses were too difficult to execute, the instructors would give us alternative poses and/or tools to help (extra blankets, blocks, straps, etc) or suggest other things that would keep us at the highest comfort level. I just wish they had more options for classes on the weekends. read more

The word "godsend" was created to describe this place. I purchased the 30 days for $60 introductory package (only available the first time you go, and bring cash). So worth it I feel like I'm getting away with something. I've taken classes with four different instructors and I'm amazed at the results I'm seeing and feeling already. I took Dariece's beginner class with my friend and enjoyed it immensely. I have arthritis in my back and there are things I can do and things I can't do. Dariece checked up on me and gave me modifications so that I could participate. Atllthough it would be iffy when I did some of the positions, I always felt better when I got home and slept well. I got busy with a new job and other things and couldn't make classes but now I am back again and it is the same nurturning atmosphere I remember. I need this. It feels good. read more

I LOVE IT! It's so clean & bright & warm. So far I've only attended Arlene's Kripalu Yoga on Saturdays, but I am impressed. Everyone in the class had a different level of stretchiness. Some could hold the poses and some couldn't (that'd be me) but Arlene worked with everyone. I felt very welcomed and comfortable in a room of strangers doing bendy things. They have a $60 for 60 days deal for people new to the studio this way you can try out the different classes they offer. My ONE and ONLY complaint: the lack of classes when I have free time. I had been kicking around the idea of attending a yoga class for about 6 months. At first I had trouble finding a yoga studio close to home (Vallejo) or work (Concord) that sounded appealing. After all, it was going to be my first experience and I wanted to avoid a class that made me hate yoga... I found Vallejoyoga on Yelp and decided to give it a try. So far, seven weeks later, I've turned in to a die hard Vallejoyoga fan. The two instructors I've taken classes from (Dariece and Rhonda) are amazing!
