Dorene and her staff are amazing! I have some physical challenges and they are all very patient and offer modifications for me. They are very informative with talking about the physiology. Knowing which body parts we are focusing on is helpful for the physical connection but the spiritual connection is so much more than I could hope for. I randomly took a class here with Dorene Adams & I was only doing it just to give new things a try. But from the moment I walked in I was welcomed with love and instantly felt at peace. I am an African American and I am also plus size . I never thought yoga was for my body type. However Dorene Adams proved me so wrong. My body was doing things I didn't know it could do. When I walked into class I was having terrible back pain and was super tense. & after the class I felt so refreshed and my body felt so relaxed and at ease ! She really has a true gift and is beyond amazing at what she does . That same day I booked my next class and implanted her class into my self care schedule. Thank you so much Dorene for being amazing ! (Side note) I felt it was important to explain my race and body size because of the obvious. As a black women we aren't always treated the same as others and as a plus size women we aren't excepted in certain environments. However I truly felt that non on that mattered in the company of Dorene and her class. I also wasn't the only plus size women & there different people of shape and sizes and race . This yoga studio is a beautiful well kept secret! I experienced it for the first time for my birthday during my journey of self care. Doreene is the owner/ instructor and she is a true gift! She immediately was welcoming ! She informed us that our first class would be free or we could choose a three for $30 packet, I chose three for 30 and it was the best choice Ive made! When you walk into the studio it's a beautiful view, the atmosphere and culture within the studio is calm , welcoming, peaceful and encouraging! All levels are welcome, there's always a modification for your level. And if you don't have a mat there are mats, bolster pillows, straps, balls , blocks and blankets ! Absolutely everything you need for an awesome experience! There are no high pressure sale pitches to buy a subscription to this studio which was definitely a plus for me! Doreen and Rachel who are the instructors are pure and you can tell they just want to help people! I definitely recommend this studio I have more to say but I think I'm running out of space! OK one more thing on Sundays Rachel had a series of classes where she explored different chakras every week within the chakras she discussed the advantages of having a free-flowing chakra and the disadvantages of having a clogged chakra so we did exercises and stretches to unclog our chakras and at the end she allowed us to try a specialized homemade tea that benefited that chakra! I finally understand what all of the fuss is about! I think I'm becoming a yogi - slowly but surely. Dorene is incredible. She's very patient with my husband and I (we're extremely new to yoga). We joined her Thursday classes this month and look forward to Thursdays every week. I honestly teared up the first night at the end of our first session - it was a very spiritual, decompressing experience. I need more yoga and Dorene in my life. I can't wait for it to become a bit cooler so we can experience outdoor yoga on the vine. I was organizing a bachelorette party of 9 girls, mostly from socal, visiting the Napa region. We rented an amazing house to stay at for the weekend and I was looking for a private yoga session since this is one of the activities the bride to be enjoys. Dorene was awesome! The price included yoga mats (since we were travelling and would not be packing that kind of item in our luggage) She came on time and we set up in the pool house. I was concerned about the intensity level since some of the girls hadn't done yoga before and one was pregnant. She was able to cater to our groups needs. I love Yoga on the Vine! I just wrapped up my first session and can't wait for the next session to start. The instructors are fun and helpful and the entire group is pleasant to be around. What I particularly love is that the practices are held outside (weather permitting). Yoga is good for the body and mind and so is feeling the breeze on your face and watching the birds fly over the landscape. After each practice I always feel calm yet full of life. Yoga on the vine is outdoor yoga overlooking a vineyard with fabulous yoga teachers. It can't get much better than that!

I've been doing yoga for about 8 years, and have been going to Yoga on the Vine for the last 2 years or so. Since Karen has left Yoga on the Vine for her new life across the country, Dorene has been doing an awesome job taking over the reins. She and the other instructors are GREAT: conscientious, responsive, creative, disciplined and warm and also have a great sense of humor. Each week, class focuses on different things to help us all grow in our yoga practice. I love the variety. Monday 5:30 pm class is gentle yoga stretch, Tuesday is all-level Vinyasa Flow, and Thursday is lite Vinyasa Flow. Pat, and Dorene teach the Monday class, Dorene the Tuesday class and Sara the Thursday class. The people who take the classes are a great community and the winery as our studio is wonderful. I wouldn't miss a season of Yoga on the Vine for anything! read more
