She has an…read moreattention to detail, hands on approach, that makes sure you are comfortable and doing the poses in the way that suits you best. She asked everyone before we began class if anyone had any ailments so she could tailor her focus or show you alternate ways to do poses to best suit you. She walks around to each person to allow guidance. She "picked" on me as I was a newbie but I really appreciated it. I put on my learning cap and really tried to absorb everything and try out the different resources. Oh you've got a bean bag or an eye mask, sure I'll try those out. I had never taken a restorative type class. Here you use several props to support your body, while focusing on one part of your body, you relax the rest of your body. Once you find the perfect balance, you hold each position for an extended period of time. In the classes I took in the past you moved through the poses so fast you never really felt what you were doing. This was much more focused. The music was beautiful, the light was dim, and she offered words of enlightenment along the way. It was very relaxing, rejuvenating, mind opening and perfect. I can't wait to try out the other classes the Benicia Yoga and Wellness has to offer. Thank you Laura!!

She booked a class but accidentally booked the wrong day and when she realized it staff basically so sad, too bad and she couldn't make it the day she booked. Laura warmly greeted me and instantly made me feel welcome. The studio is spacious and still practicing Covid guidelines because there are markers for where to place your yoga mat. You have to bring your own yoga mat and wear a mask. However, I love all the props that are provided! I used the blocks and pillows for extra support during stretches. Laura had such a calming and relaxing voice. I loved how she asked the class what part of the body we would like to focus on. She came around each person and helped assist with poses which I really appreciated! I got the most out of the class with her feedback for me! This class had me so relaxed and zen I felt I melted into my mat. Thank you Laura, looking forward to more classes here!

There is an exercise named the hundreds, and after doing it, my neck would hurt. I told Cristela about it after class. The next morning Cristela said she'd been thinking about it and wanted to watch me do the exercise. She noticed I lifted with my head first instead of my chest and that was what was causing my neck to hurt. She is very thoughtful with every member. It is not just Cristela that is knowledgeable, patient and kind; every instructor is invested in seeing the members work at their own pace and succeed. I've only been a member at Club Pilates for three months and already I'm stronger and leaner. It is my happy place.

I ask for a menu again. He/She asks for "a menu of what? I don't understand what your asking me"I state a membership menu., a brochure of all the membership options; something with all the plans people are able to select from and see the membership options. (very standard & typical for any business newly opening up) marketing material...I asked if that made senseHe/She stated they don't put pricing on brochures because prices are subject to change and asked if he/she was making sense to me.  Sometime in March:They had a couple pop-ups. One got cancelled due to the rain. Thursday, April 28, 2024: I walk into the studio as I see they are open. I let her know I will definitely join but needed to consult with my husband as to which plan because the promo was not applicable to the plan that includes being able to work out at other locations as we do travel.  Today, May 3, 2024 8am: I walk in because I called twice and no answer. I try and sign up to take advantage of the promo and they tell me I can't. The computer was down so I had to wait for a re-boot. I inquired about joining that day and being able to still make it to a class because I scanned the cute little QR code on the back of the brochure I got the week prior and it brought me to intro classes only for the following week and I wanted to take a class that morning or day- right away. I've already taken the into class at the Walnut Creek location and my friend is opening up the El Cerrito location but I live here so by default of course. The lady in front advises I come to the 10am class that the owner teaches. Im just exhausted at this point to get an answer, contact. You're greeted right away and honestly, that's so important when you take fitness classes in my opinion. It definitely made me feel welcome and comfortable. The cycle (or spinning?) class was taught by Candice (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) and her playlist was *insert fire emoji here*! It was such a good mix of different genres that's great for everyone taking a class. The movements were challenging but doable! And it makes it a little easy when you're going with the music. The room was dark but it had some kind of colorful lights. I'm blanking out with how to call them but it definitely made the atmosphere feel more inviting and peaceful... if that makes sense lol I know they offer other fitness classes so definitely check them out!

However, I did not join this facility. Class: The instructor was motivating and the cardio sculpt class really made me feel the burn. I came on a Wednesday night (the last class) it was fairly empty - I think everyone comes for the kickboxing since I came early to sign up (no one was at the front desk so I just awkwardly watched for 15 minutes). Some thoughts I had: It's not your average gym, there are weights and equipment in the back but I'm not sure if it's open to everyone of just those taking private lessons. The main area is a large open cardio floor great for group workouts which is what it is. Most people workout barefoot or with indoor/solely for the gym kind of shoes only. Not sure if I am a personal fan because it seems unclean/dangerous if a weight is dropped on the foot. As a transformation gym, I was interested in kickstarting my health and getting toned.- possibly even their bikini comp programs - I thoroughly checked the website and was interested in their nutrition program especially as well. I stayed after the class and had the opportunity to meet Mark. Nice guy but when I asked him about the programs and he just kept telling me to look on the website which didn't provide much information about their nutrition format or how the body tracking/goal setting works. I really wanted to love this place and was ready to sign up right then and there but didn't feel like I would get the support I was looking for just based on my first interaction. I signed up with Orange Theory instead.

Sarah is an amazing communicator, giving clear directions with examples that really work! I especially love her yoga classes. In fact, I have now been attending regularly for almost two years. My posture is better. My outlook is better, even during a pandemic. And I look forward to every class and its unique blend of time for the body, mind and spirit.
