I sought Kat out with the intention of practicing yoga however; I was humbled by the decline in my endurance and strength. In meeting me where I was physically, Kat introduced me to breathwork which, depending on how I was feeling was sometimes paired with gentle restorative movement. Through breathwork my body was calmed, soothed and surprisingly energized, it was dialectic like yin and yang. Afterwards, I felt balanced and whole. I learned that breathwork is literally beneficial to my parasympathetic nervous system and that a healthy parasympathetic nervous system is supportive of the physical concerns that I was actively trying to heal. My journey with Kat is one in which she consistently shows up for me, it is flexible and adaptive depending on my needs. Kat takes my time and my goals seriously which is everything. I received an email shortly thereafter as a confirmation and was provided important details of the event. It was very informative and appreciated. I received a reminder email closer to the event which was nice. The event offered a pre-sound bath gathering which I was very excited about. Location is on Silverado trail with street parking and a parking lot in the back. I arrived 5 minutes before gathering and was immediately greeted by the lovely Melanie. I had the pleasure of speaking with her before everyone arrived. She was kind, sweet and has a soothing voice. She was able to answer all my questions. I used the restroom before we started and it was clean. While she continued to set up, I sat down for some tea while others trickled in. The space indoors was beautifully decorated, clean, organized and so welcoming. It was a warm and comfortable environment and the people were very friendly. We sat and chatted about our intentions for a few minutes then headed to the mats to begin the sound bath. In addition to the mats that she provided, she had pillows, a blanket and an eye mask for each of us. We were a group of 9 individuals. The sound bath was relaxing, calming, and brought this feeling of relief. Everyone's experience would be different which is why I definitely recommend trying this if you haven't. If you have, it is worth coming back to! Our lives become so busy so this was nice to reset my mind and body. This was a great event and i can't wait to try other services/ classes.
