My husband has been receiving massage therapy with Kristina at Body in Knead (Reno location) since…read moreMay 2025 and we cannot recommend both Body in Knead and Kristina highly enough. The owner, Molly, is very responsive and incredibly good at managing the paperwork involved in treating a veteran authorized to receive treatment by the VA (which, as we all know about government agencies, can be cumbersome). All I can say about Kristina is Wow. She truly is the massage whisperer. Per my husband, she really understands the physiology behind the treatment she provides, and he has a lot more pain-free time than he did before starting treatment with Kristina. I can see the relief in his face and in the way he moves after a session. We are grateful that my husband's treatment is covered by the VA, but should they decide not to renew an authorization and if my husband felt he would continue to get relief from the therapy, we would gladly pay the reasonable rates at Body in Knead to continue treatment with Kristina. Just to be clear, Body in Knead is open to everyone, not just veterans; but if you are a veteran receiving physical therapy at the VA hospital and think massage therapy could help your recovery, ask your physical therapist to submit a referral to the VA's Community Care Network. Whether you need a massage for medical reasons, stress, or just plain relaxation, your first call should be to Body in Knead.in Reno or Sparks.

My massage with Shannon was a spiritual experience for my body and soul. She addressed places in my body that needed tender loving care while also doing effective work to release tightness and discomfort. Shannon knew all the places that needed to be massaged and used her vast knowledge of the body/mind connection to help me. I immediately made another appointment with Shannon. The environment of Body in Knead is peaceful and relaxing as well as beautiful. I highly recommend Body in Knead and Shannon.

I have pretty advanced scoliosis and I'm on a quest to find a reliable massage spot…read more Tl;dr after coming here a few times, I'm still looking. It's just kinda... weird vibes?? With an appointment, I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes, while (I assumed) my room was being prepped. Guess not because the face towels that were supposed to be warm felt like scratchy dry brand new never-been-washed towels 2/3 times I visited. For my most recent, my massage was on a regular table but instead of a cloth on the face cradle, it was a paper towel....... The hall door was OPEN during the better part of my last 90 minute massage...... Hearing people talking in the hallway and wondering if they could see my body if they walked by was not peaceful. They did some interesting limb bendy stuff on me that I think was trying to emulate Thai massage style, but it was just twisting my body in odd ways that felt weird with my scoliosis (which I'd already told them I had so idk why they did that). I kept waiting for them to return back to/take extra time to focus on the areas I designated on the tablet where my back muscles reallllly need extra care after moving to my lower body, but I am pretty sure they've never looked at my diagram any of the times I've been because this experience is consistent with all 3 visits I've had there. Came across my biggest pet peeve which is having stretches of time over a minute where it feels like the masseuse is just lightly spreading oil on my skin longer than necessary to run up the time. For these reasons and others, I was quite uncomfortable at this place and won't be back a 4th time. I really wanted to give it a chance and give the benefit of the doubt with more chances but 3 bad massages is a LOT of money to drop w little return for a public school teacher. Despite all that, the front desk staff was pleasant and the location is super convenient!! The quest for a massage that can soothe my tight scoliosis muscles continues.

I was greeted by friendly staff upon entering and inquiring about if it was possible for an hour session along with explaining where I hurt. With no hesitation as a walk in for my first visit here Linda did a fabulous job working and communicating with me. One thing I was worried about was when Linda asked if walking on my back would be ok? And I was scared due to the surgery I had in my lower back but I was willing as always to try anything to see if I get any relief. So here it is 24 hours later, I'm in no pain, I have no bruising my mobility is by far better and I'm doing chores. I can not thank Linda enough for helping to relieve enough pain where I can function normal and I'm actually looking forward to a second session. Thank you Royal Spa & Massage for taking care of me. Oh! I should also mention ton how clean and great the inside looks and my sheets smelled so fresh that that helped me relax more. Perfect setting.

This is unacceptable. I drove to the location. The building had a "Open" sign but nobody was there. This is beyond pathetic. They don't seem to want anybody's business so don't waste your time coming here. If I could give this joke of a place zero stars, it is certainly deserved. Never again.
