We had the option to go to one of our "staple" places or try out something new for lunch. We ended-up at the Mason Jar for the first-time. We were here for a Thursday Lunch, a bit early at 11:30am, just in time to beat the rush (we were the only ones there, till about 12pm and another 3 groups showed up). From a feel stand-point, looks to have a great potential for a "hang-out" place. It's spacious, descent sound system, dimmed lighting, a lot of what I would want out of a meet-up spot. Our experience was okay (at-best) the server was nice and very friendly. She was responsive and suggested items on the menu. I got the Corned Beef Reuben and the wife got the J&J. We both agreed that the fries were the best part on our plates. The J&J chicken was a bit dry and lacked a flavor. The buns were a bit dense and may have benefitted from being heated-up. My Reuben was okay, could have used more corned beef, compared to Station 43 or Chicago Deli, at this price, should have been more. Our bill came to $40 and seeing that they charge $2.99 for fountain drink, maybe lemon water would have been sufficient. Will we be back? If somebody suggested to meet there, yes. On our own? Probably not. Not that it was bad, but just nothing special.

We were impressed by Wing Night Wednesday! We also loved the Aurora French Dip & Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese Soup so much we are going back tonight! Service was good & atmosphere is cute, kinda rustic & a little loud but they were playing good music! The food made it worthwhile!

Stopped here bc of the reviews on Yelp and it was close to my father in laws house. I ordered the Cobb salad - it was large and had real turkey, not turkey lunch meat. The raspberry vinaigrette dressing was delicious My husband ordered a jalapeño stuffed burger with Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. He loved everything. My father in law ordered the American burger with fries. He enjoyed it very much. My husband got cheesecake and we both had coffee. The coffee was delicious and the cheesecake was homemade

I heard about this place from a friend and decided I had to check out a mason-jar themed restaurant. The draft beers and cocktails, as well as the salads, are served in different sized jars, adding to the theme and rustic decor. The ambiance was quite cozy with plenty of seating at the bar or at small tables throughout the restaurant. It had a nice neighborhood feel and I noticed that several patrons seemed to know the staff well. My husband and I split the red pepper hummus and I got the scallops for dinner. The scallops were delicious, but my whole experience was sort of tainted by the hummus. It tasted great with the exception of how much garlic was blended in. Everything I ate for 24 hours after seemed to taste like garlic. However, the service was excellent and I'd definitely like to give it another try.

We visited The Barn for a work event and had an overall great experience. The bar was fully…read morestocked, so no concerns there--I ordered a sweet cocktail that I really enjoyed. We also had a couple bottles of wine at the table, which were good as well. For appetizers, we shared oysters, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail. All of them were good, but the meatballs were my favorite. For my entrée, I ordered the prime rib. It was a bit saltier than I would have liked, but the sides helped balance it out. I really enjoyed the corn and mashed potatoes, and I also added mushrooms and onions, which helped offset the saltiness. In hindsight, I kind of wish I had ordered the filet mignon, as I suspect it wouldn't have been as salty. The bread at the beginning of the meal was also really good. Dessert was a standout--I got the turtle cake, and it was huge. It's definitely the best value on the menu. Three of us shared it and still couldn't finish it, though that may have also been due to the amount of food and drinks we had throughout the night. The food did take a while to come out, but the service remained good the entire time. We expected dinner to wrap up around 7:00, but we started at 5:30 and didn't finish until about 8:30--there were 16 of us, so it was understandable. Overall, a solid experience, especially for a group event.

This was terrible. This wasn't fun at all, the service was decent, but our waiter had an attitude. The vibe it was loud and smelt that's all i'm saying. Overall It was maybe 1.5/10.
