Don't be afraid to come here! Lots of food truck options which is cool. My friend and I each got zero proof cocktails. She got the sweet hemptation and liked it so much she got a second one. I got the funky cold Modena which was tart and tasty. And we got to see Miz Cracker from RuPaul's Drag Race!! So fun! The drag show was high energy and a great time.

The owners closed up shop downtown and created this new place on 2nd Street in Bend's Central District. It's now called Dogwood at the Pine Shed. Why Yelp won't create a new, distinct page for the Pine Shed is beyond me. That said, the Pine Shed is a fine place for drinks and food truck fare. The open, spacious 'shed' has plenty of varied seating surrounding a nice bar with quite a few tables outside on the patio. Mobility-challenged folks have choices too. For those worried about 2nd Street's reputation for sketchiness, don't be. Revitalization efforts by the city have transformed the area. At times of good weather, with the big doors open, the Pine Shed is quite a nice spot to relax. Cocktails were the raison d'etre for the former incarnation of Dogwood and that emphasis transfers here to the Pine Shed. I particularly like their versions of a margarita but the other cocktails are uniformly good too. The beer tap offerings are not so spectacular, however, with only four (and a cider). On one visit shortly after they opened for business, two beer taps were tapped out, which can be chalked up to growing pains. In any case, the Pine Shed can't be seriously regarded as a tap house in the style of the many others in Bend (On Tap, River's Place, Crosscut, The Lot, The Podski, Midtown Yacht Club, etc.). Come for the cocktails. They do offer low ABV and zero ABV drinks. At present, the food truck choices are abundant and pretty decent. Being trucks/carts, and thus mobile and prone to relocating themselves, I'll not list them here. Best to check the Pine Shed's webpage for current offerings and then go to the relevant Yelp page for reviews. Parking is street only, no parking lot. The city has completed construction on 2nd Street so there are more spots available than before.

I went to grab my sweat from the car and the food was already done. The food itself was great! I have been chasing a good banh mi and this is the only place in Bend so far that hits the spot. I normally dont even do pork but the pork banh mi is dank. I love the quality of the meat. The lemon grass adds an awesome flavor to the sandwich as a whole. The bread was also good quality. I had to travel a little ways after running one last errand so it looks a little worse for wear, but held up super well imho. The food cart pod also has a good ambiance, it is open with seating and little fires, plus an indoor seating area.

The veggies on it were fresh, crispy and flavorful and the bread was also quite nice, although maybe a little more buttery than what I expect with bahn mi. I also thought the price was a bit steep, $15, for just the sandwich. The girl working there was really nice and I appreciated her suggestions. I love the location of this food truck too. They have lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor, a bougie bar with craft cocktails and NA options, nice music and chill vibes!

Important: In case you didn't notice, this place does not take cards!!…read more This place is a double-decker english bus. Walking up to it, the menu is painted on the outside of the vehicle and they greet you and take your order through a sliding glass window. The location is a little funky; being behind a bar, on [what must be] the only dirt road in downtown Bend. But they have turned the top story of the bus into a seating area, so at least we didn't have to try to eat in the car. The seating area was a little funky, being that it was on an old bus, but there is a bar facing outward that lets you look out, and they have napkins, malt vinegar, s&p, and ketchup. (And apparently a flat screen t.v. - no idea if it worked.) There were quite a few options for a food cart. It seemed as though they change things pretty often, because, although I didn't scour the menu, I didn't see the wontons mentioned in another review. What I did see were two kinds of tacos with "new" written next to them. One was an avocado taco and the other was a pineapple taco. I inquired about the avocado one and apparently it was deep-fried avocado slices in a taco shell of some sort. Being as we went there for fish and chips, I definitely ordered those, and then decided to swing for the tacos as well. I really didn't have any problem with the portion size. McMenamins has fish and chips for $18, Deschutes Brewery has them for $16.50. Here they were $8, and they were worth every cent. They weren't quite as crispy as some I have had in the past, but they were still delicious. The "chips" were not very good; some kind of steak fries and half of them had the mealy taste of not being cooked enough, but I honestly thought the fish made up for it. It was exactly what I was craving, and my husband and I both ate for an even $20. Last- the tacos. These were so simple, yet so amazing. It was a soft corn shell that had obviously been lightly fried. In it was a couple slices of the fried avocado, layered with very mild pico and a small amount of sliced cabbage. I ate most of one and it was the perfect appetizer to my fish and chips. Only thing I could say about it was that I don't think frying the avocado is really necessary, but everyone loves fried food, so maybe it's just a way to pique people's interest.

Almost impossible. We found one place was closed, two food trucks hadn't opened that day, and another closed at 8:00. Then my luck changed when we found Zorba the Greek! They stay open late to match the hours of The Dogwood at the Pine Shed, where they are parked. I was thrilled to find that they had gyros with lamb on a spit! Not the lamb/beef mix that you can buy from Chicago that most gyros places all have. I decided to go for a plate so I could get the full experience. It came with salad, potatoes, a gyro, and choice of tzatziki. Second bit of luck was they had vegan tzatziki (which I prefer since dairy and I don't get along well). The salad was already mixed up with the feta, so I had a wee bit of dairy with my meal. They text you when your food is ready so you can go inside, warm up with a craft cocktail, and find a table (craft in that they lit an orange peel on fire for my drink!). The food was quick and came in a to-go box so I could take leftovers with me. The lamb was so good! Seared but still juicy and smothered in tzatziki with pickled onions and tomatoes. What a great find!

Well we got there and the line was insane so through the little alley I saw dump city! I said "guys let's get dumplings!!" About half of us went over there and it was the 100% right move! There was one guy in there having a beer. We ordered the lamb dumplings, the elote, a pizza dumpling and the crab Rangoons along with some beers. Service was quickly, friendly, and great! Dumplings came out very quick which was awesome!! The lamb and elote were both good. I think I preferred the lamb. The elote tasted like a burrito it was good but lamb was my favorite. The pizza dumpling fell flat of my expectations. It was literally a bunch of multi cheese in dough. I wish there had been pizza sauce in the dumpling to make it feel more like pizza. The crab Rangoon's were good. The texture and filling seemed different from normal Rangoon's but overall delightful. The highlight of this restaurant to me had to have been the giant gong at the entrance. It had a little sign that told you how to hit it, which I did obviously. Overall, great find and they had merch on the wall. We meant to buy some, but we totally forgot. Wish you could order it online.

I opted for the Sticky Gochujang and Jamaican Jerk (six each), thinking that would provide two disparate tastes given my experiences with both. As it turned out, not so much. Both sixes of wings were well prepared and quite tasty but were also (over)loaded with sauce. I normally expect jerk wings to be dry. The Korean wings were not so much 'sticky' as drowned in sauce. Frankly, the flavors were similar. Prices are high but that's what you have to expect these days in Bend. The wings are not small as some have suggested. Fairly normal sized, I'd say. Haven't tried a crepe yet but the photos look enticing. I give this cart a thumbs up although next time I'll try the Old Bay style which friends have reported to be of the dry variety.
