Highly recommend staying at The Marlo when you're visiting Solvang! They are pet friendly as well if you're bringing along your fur baby. The staff here is extremely welcoming and helpful and are happy to share local spots to try in and around town. Victoria, thank you for all your awesome recs!! The rooms are nicely remodeled and were nice and clean. The proximity to town was perfect and we truly enjoyed our stay here!

The Marlo will forever hold a special place in our hearts. My fiancée and I had the most incredible experience staying here during the weekend I proposed; and honestly, we'll only be staying at The Marlo from now on. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. They helped me plan the proposal and even found a fantastic photographer when I thought I wouldn't be able to get one in time. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made the moment unforgettable. The location was perfect; beautiful, intimate, and not overly crowded, which made it the ideal setting for such a special moment. The staff helped set everything up beautifully, and their genuine warmth made us feel completely taken care of. On top of that, the hotel is perfectly situated; we didn't need an Uber once because everything we wanted to explore was within walking distance. I'm so thankful I found The Marlo. They helped create one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives, and we can't wait to come back again and again.

I decided to take a chance on this hotel since they just refurbished the rooms & back courtyard. I'm very glad we stayed here. We were traveling with our dogs so having a room that is dog friendly & opened up to a nice, large courtyard was wonderful. We didn't take advantage of the lounge area in front of the large outdoor fireplace since the weather was warm, but we will on the next trip when it's cooler. It was so nice to leave our car parked at the hotel & walk around town from this location. It was very quiet & the king size bed was firm but comfortable. The air conditioner was a bit loud but not a big deal for us. Bathrooms were newly redone so everything was very clean & up to date. Getting to wineries from here was very easy. There are also wine tasting in town that you can walk to from here. The Marlo is definitely recommended. We will be back on our next trip for wine pick up.

My husband and I stayed in the Solstice King Suite and it was everything we were hoping it to be. I worry about renovations taking the soul out of a place more often than not, but the updates are tasteful and added to the ambiance. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is in walking distance to the main street goings on. The staff is very attentive and respectful. We loved it, our dogs loved it, we will definitely be back!

WOW!! The Marlo is amazing!! When our friends decided to celebrate the birthday in Solvang they shared with us the hotel they were staying at (which wasn't the Marlo btw) to book a room they no longer had rooms available. So I looked to see what hotels that were close to our friends. The Marlo was directly across the street. Not thinking to much we book a room at the Marlo. And let me tell you this I am glad we did!! We travel quite a bit and I have to tell you the Marlo has them beat. From the amazing room to the wonderful staff. We drove out from the Inland Empire and we stopped to spend a good portion of the day in Santa Barbara before heading to Solvang. I received a text message from the staff confirming our arrival time and advised we would be there after 6pm. Being that their office hours are 9a-6p they advised me no worries that they will put my room key in a lockbox and provided me the combination for it. When we arrived a little after 6:30p located the lock box with ease and boom key was there. The next morning I received a text message from the staff asking how our first night was and if there was anything that we would need. Now like I mentioned we travel and have stayed at a lot of 5 star hotels and I can tell you never received that personal attention. We did text asking for some more coffee and coffee cups (I drink a lot of coffee) and they replied instantly we weren't in our room at the time however they asked for our permission to deliver them to the room without us being there which was awesome! Our room was great, clean, modern and comfortable. You enter and they had the wet bar with the coffee, a little living room with a fireplace and tv. The bedroom was good sized and the bathroom had all the modern touches of a resort. We enjoyed the back courtyard which was spacious and cozy during a beautiful evening. Sorry for the long story and I will end it with this. The Marlo is the place you will want to stay at when visiting Solvang. Walking distance is close to everything you need. The Marlo is my number one pick for are future visits.

Went to book a hotel for two nights here and their website has two different booking links on the home page. The one in the middle takes you to their affiliated booking site and the one in the top right takes you to a random unaffiliated hotel in Colorado. We accidentally booked the wrong hotel because of this and the man at the front desk was very rude and unaccommodating trying to work through this with us. Just be warned if you're booking online that you use the right link.

Stayed in room 23 on 11/21/25 - 11/22/25. This room had several bugs in the bed and bathroom. I was able to get a few pics and found out they're German cockroaches. I am only posting a review because the front desk says they have never had a guest say this and idk I find that hard to believe so this will forever be proof for them to look back on if the next guest mentions it.

I read through some of the negative reviews before booking, and honestly, I think they completely missed the mark. This hotel sits right at the beginning of the Solvang strip, and in my opinion, it's the perfect location. You're just steps away from all the shops, restaurants, and even one of the local breweries, but far enough from the center of town that you can actually enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. If you're someone who insists on staying right in the middle of all the action, this may not be the spot for you--but don't expect much quiet over there! The hotel has been newly renovated, and our room was adorable, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to anything we needed. They truly made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The property itself isn't huge, but they did an excellent job making the most of the space. There's a cute full-service bar with indoor and outdoor seating, a café offering breakfast, pastries, coffee, and a surprisingly good selection of food throughout the day. The lobby also has a convenient grab-and-go market, and outside you'll find a cozy fire pit lounge with games and a relaxing water feature that makes for a great place to unwind in the evening. There isn't a pool, but honestly, that's not why you come to Solvang. If you're looking for outdoor adventures, you're just a short drive from Lake Cachuma and the beach. But let's be real--most people come here for the amazing food, wine, shopping, and the charming Danish village atmosphere, and this hotel puts you close to all of it. I'm actually surprised there aren't more reviews for this property because it was completely sold out during our stay, and now I understand why. Out of the several Hilton properties I stayed at during my trip this week, this one was easily my favorite. Great job to the entire team! You all set the standard for hospitality. Hopefully, the San Francisco Hilton team can take a few notes from you!

The bathrooms (single vanity) are large with a nice walk-in shower. There's a coffee/tea service in the room (paper cups). The room lacked a luggage holder. It's a super cute Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel in an ideal location -- walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and sights in downtown Solvang, with easy and free self-parking. We were able to use points for a free stay and were pleasantly surprised by every aspect of the stay. The pool area was a highlight, especially with kids. The pool was clean and well maintained, with plenty of towels, umbrellas, loungers, and cabanas available even during the peak afternoon sun. The staff came around with cold waters and Otter Pops for the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch and made it feel a little more special. Our room was clean and modern with plenty of space for our family of four, plus a large patio facing the pool that we really enjoyed. There was some visible water damage in the bathroom, and you can tell that underneath the renovations the property has the bones of an older motel-style building. That said, it's been updated really well and is probably about as nice as you could imagine a hotel of this style being in Solvang. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Another small detail we loved was the privacy doorbell system on each room rather than having housekeeping knock loudly on the door -- especially nice when traveling with kids. There's also a restaurant connected to the hotel that offers room service and can deliver food right to the pool, which is incredibly convenient when everyone is having too much fun swimming to get dressed and go out. Overall, Hotel Corque hits a really nice balance: cute and upscale without being stuffy, extremely convenient, family-friendly, and right in the heart of Solvang. We'd definitely stay here again.

The Landsby - Amazing Key Chains For Room Entry

I am going to let you in on a little secret…read more... Yeah, I'm going to share with you what i THINK is the best kind of getaway, well, at least in my humble opinion. It's the kind that doesn't abruptly end, but it just sort of.... keeps on going. Let me explain. Have you ever gone on vacation and said to yourself, or to your spouse or even to your kids.... "Gee, I could have really used one more night" Or Let out the exaggerated (Ughh)... "I don't want to go back to work tomorrow, I wish we could just extend our trip by just one more day" Well... On a recent trip with my family, We INTENTIONALLY did just that. My wife booked us a 2 night stay in Paso Robles at a beautiful boutique style/chain hotel. (The Ava Hotel in Paso) (Check out my review for the deets) Usually, when we do these short, weekend trips, I work up until the day of our trip and then go back the very next day once we return... But, NOT THIS TIME! Yeah, This time, my wife intentionally told me, let's book one more night on the way home from our trip in Paso just to break up the drive home and enjoy one more day off of work and time with the fam. Heck, I've got loads of PTO and who wants to be at work anyway, so it wasn't too hard to twist my arm on this one. And just like that.... Solvang, Here we Come! Yes, the cute, quaint town of Solvang is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or even just for a one night stay like we did. Of course, my wife, the Queen of finding the best places to stay/eat... (AND I AM THE ONE WHO IS THE "ELITE" haha) booked us a room at the Landsby hotel and it was nothing short of a treat. Here's why: The Landsby is more than just a room... Inside of a hotel... Located in the heart of this Danish town known as: SOLVANG It wasn't just, "let's build a hotel where the people can stay and explore the town while they are here". At least that's not the impression it gave me! Instead, The Landsby has a Charm about, it has Character and most of all it gives you the impression that you are in a modern-day Dutch village. But one of my favorite parts.... The Room Key, keyword, "KEY" Yeah! The room key is an actual Key!!! A metal, lock and key, just like the good 'ol days! Ain't no digital, pre-programmed, modern day, technologically advanced system like every other hotel does it.... And I liked it! And to match the old school style key... The t.v is in black and white, the internet is run on dial up and the telephone is a rotary dial..... JUST KIDDING!!!! But wouldn't that be cool! Aside from the small town European vibe that the exterior of the building gives you, once you step inside both the hotel and then your room, you are immediately transported to a place that feels welcoming, familiar and most of all comfortable. Because this was a short stay (just a one nighter) we didn't take advantage of the amenities like we normally do, but next time we will. A lobby bar (our favorite place to check out), an onsite restaurant (Mad & Vin which loos really good), an outdoor courtyard to sit and relax, and complimentary cruiser bikes to explore the town. The Landsby is Pet friendly, so definitely check out their webpage for details for your furry friends. So....... Now that I've let you in on my little secret, I don't want you to keep it that way! Spread the word! Pass it along! Tell a friend! Come check out the Landsby in Solvang!!

I was advised they were having systems issues with their app. Since it was a 3rd party the app was charging me the 3rd party charge. Which was $50 less what I paid to the 3rd party. I advised them I had already prepaid. They advised me they would release hold in 2-3 days. I called the 3rd party to advise the above. They called Winston staff as they shortly after sent me a text. I do believe Winston was in error to charge me while I had already paid the 3rd party. The funds were released the next day. Keep an eye on credit card notifications if stay here. Other than the above issue and Check in service I would stay here again. The room was comfortable with the exception of the balcony door not locking.

Upon checking in, we were told that the lounge & bar would be closed all weekend. This was a bummer, it is one of the reasons we booked the hotel originally. When we got to the room, the smell was awful. It smelled musty and moldy. We opened the window and turned on the air, that helped not one bit. So, we asked for a different room. They accommodated this request quickly, which was great. The hotel advertises electric vehicle charging stations. While this is true, they are NOT the fast charging ones, rather they are the type you install at your house. This means charging can take several hours. Thiscreates an annoying backlog situation - no one is going to sit around for hours while their vehicle charges. Inevitably, you go into town and return when you're ready, at which point your car is either still charging OR it has finished charging, but is now taking up a charger that might be needed. No one is going to run back to the hotel to unplug and move their car. Also, there are only two chargers and they are in the tightest, most inconvenient location in the parking lot. When I opened my trunk to put my bags in, the trunk lid HIT a large pipe running above the parking spot. They need far more chargers installed if they're going to advertise this amenity. When we returned to the hotel on our first evening, we got ZERO sleep. For one, the AC is very, very loud and goes off and on all night. On top of that, and this is what spoiled things actually, a dog in an adjoining room barked loudly ALL NIGHT LONG. It was unbearable. I called the front desk several times, and they didn't really seem to understand the gravity of the situation. They just said yea, it's very frustrating, we're trying to contact the owners, but nothing really resolved. We got no sleep and it was so frustrating. Operating on no sleep, we went out the next day to explore the town. When it got hot in the afternoon hours, we returned to the hotel to relax and get a nap in before dinner. But guess what? MORE DOG BARKING. For hours. And the same spiel from the front desk and management. So, no naps for us. It was beyond frustrating. After all that, the management offered no compensation or anything. They really didn't even address the dog barking except when I made the phone call to the front desk. It was all empty apologies and no action. All in all, it was a frustrating experience and I would hesitate to book there again.

But each time it also felt like the bare minimum (how many towels do you want; how many coffee packets?)
