Great place, very convenient location. Walking distance around everything. Room was nice and large. Stayed in room number one. They point out that the parking is in the back. Which I did I fact park there, yet I was also nervous I would get towed, since there was no way of showing my car was in fact with our room, if that makes sense. Another thing, we got there at check in at 4pm. The house keeping didn't even clean our room yet, she was in another room with all her supplies in our room, yet with nothing done yet. We had to wait outside in the court yard with all our belongings while she quickly and not so greatly cleaned our room. She was rude and didn't let us know when it was finished as well, she just went on to the next room. When checking out, she was impatiently waiting for us to leave to clean the room. I wonder why she didn't get it done that fast before we checked in, not professional at all unfortunately. The blinds to cover the windows, just not on the sides, so if you are not a morning person and want to sleep in. This might not be the place e for you, as the rooms get super bright, exactly at sunrise. We looked everywhere for an ice machine, I'm sorry but this should just be a give. At every hotel.

Cute little 8 room hotel. It's updated and clean. There's no office to check in, just text the hotel and they will respond. It's in a great central location in downtown Solvang, walkable to everything. The hotel gives you a coupon for a breakfast pastry and coffee/tea per guest at Olsen Bakery. They also give you a 2 for 1 wine tasting coupon that can be used at many wineries. We had a few issues but someone came quickly to resolve them. The sheets are very scratchy and you can tell it's not good quality but for the price and location I guess it's ok. We stayed in rooms 3 and 4 which were both king beds and can be joined if you prefer. There's also an extra door you can use for the communal patio.

Convenient tv with enough channels. Kuereg and hot water kettle.

This is one of my favorite spots because of its location. It makes me feel like I live in town instead of just visiting.

Overall I love this place. My girlfriend and I combed through 4 hotels in Solvang and looked through the photos and reviews and have that every one of it had bug issue from the pictures posted. All except this one, which is the main reason why we decided on the one. Plus the reviews were fairly great as well. I really enjoy the contactless check in. In opinion it makes everything super simple and convenient when everything works smoothly. The hotel pretty much will give you the check in detail along with the code to your door and the checkout information via text or email based on your preference the morning of the day of your first reservation. You just arrive and go in. They have a small parking lot for the guests but you can pretty much park any spot around the town that doesn't have overnight restriction. The entire place was neat, clean, and no apparent messiness. Such a cute studio looking room too. The only thing that could be a complaint would be the thin wall between rooms and the outside. You can kind of easily hear noises from the other end. But which is why they prepare us with two sets of earplugs knowing it. So that solution is why I am not complaining about it, plus the noises pretty much died down by 10 pm when everyone is sleeping anyways. P.S. you can't write about a hotel review without talking about the shower! It's all about the shower and this inn has some amazing shower radius with perfect hot water after a chilly evening air. It's a small town so all shop closed around 5:30 - 6:00 pm. But I would definitely recommend this place as an option.

We're here for one night. And this is a very simple basic room. Very clean. With a refer. All White. The TV only gets one channel. The office doesn't answer at 8 pm. I won't call the emergency number for a tv. I see previous users had a voucher at Olsens Bakery but nothing with our key. No worries. You can hear your neighbors but not so much tonight. The bed is fine and if the shower is good it will work out ok. The inn is cute.

My daughters and I stayed at the Atterdag Inn in Solvang for one night on November 23, 2020. Let me start with the bad... The walls are so thin. Get some of those silicone earplugs. There are just a few parking spots directly behind the Atterdag Inn... otherwise, there is a free public lot with a short walking distance. I did NOT like the lack of an additional security lock or even a latch on the door. Especially now that I no longer have the male companion that I thought would always be in my life... not cool. + our room was not ready at 3PM and when we got to the door, I felt like we had rushed the maid, but she said that all she had left to do was vacuum. Neutral... + many people may complain about have a REAL (i.e. old-fashioned key), but that's part of the charm to the area in my opinion + I laugh because one person referred to the rooms as being "straight of an Ikea catalog"... so true, but I dig the modern look as long as it's not the main theme in my house. Simplicity helped me relax more, believe it or not. Now onto the good... + I found the cheapest rate online directly through their website for room 6 for $113.38 (taxes and fees included). It's a king room with bunk beds, a private bathroom, dining table with four chairs, small fridge, a flatscreen, Roman shades for privacy as there are a few windows, and an adjustable hot/cold air unit. + contactless check-in... A nice lady called me while I was driving into Solvang a few hours before our allotted check-in. For check-out by 11AM, I just left the door unlocked and the key on the dining table. + mostly clean facilities including the grounds + several good eateries and shopping within walking distance... for lunch, I recommend the Copenhagen Sausage Garden. Dinner at Succulent Café. + free WIFI with instructions on an info card in the room + high ceilings and semi-spacious room + a complimentary, light breakfast provided courtesy of Olsen's on Mission Drive (a Danish pastry and either a juice, milk or coffee)

We had a lovely stay in our clean, simple, delightful room at the Atterdag, and happy to have easy access to our vehicle, parked right outside. Nice bedding and furniture, also enjoyed the Adirondack chairs in the sunny courtyard and the cable TV. Heater was responsive and effective, too! Location is also perfect, adjacent to everything yet not noisy in our opinion. It would have been nice to have a fan in the bathroom, or something noise cancelling, since walls seemed thin and our bathroom windows opened to the courtyard. Would have also appreciated a microwave to go with the refrigerator and kettle. We definitely enjoyed a "hygge" vaca on a perfect spring weather weekend. Thanks!

Amazing hotel. Room was very clean and spacious. I had no problems whatsoever. I would definitely stay here again. Photos I took attached

Lovely overnight stay at Atterdag Inn in Solvang. It's a small boutique inn managed by Hamlet Inn. They have signs posted that the office/reception is at Hamlet Inn, it was a short 5-minute walk so it wasn't so bad. I just wished that they informed us ahead of time that the reception was located in a different area. There is ample free parking at the back -- 6 slots and there are free parking lots close by too. There are only a few rooms (less than 10, I think) that surround the courtyard. Location was close to everything but away from the main road. The price per night was very reasonable for the size of the room and bathroom. There were also table and chairs, wine glasses and small fridge for use. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. My only complaints were the following: 1. Poor sound-proofing -- we could hear foot steps from the room above and the sound of the TV in the room beside us. 2. The toilet seat was sliding a little bit, they need to tighten the bolts and the flusher/plunger is a bit wonky too. Keys are a bit old school -- you get a real key that you can just leave in the room when you check-out. You also get a breakfast voucher for Olsen's Bakery across Hamlet in -- a choice of danish pastry and beverage that you can either dine in or get it to go. Overall, would stay here again.. just hope we don't get noisy neighbors upstairs or beside us.

We needed to stay near Santa Barbara for a couple nights this summer and I'm SO glad we found this sweet little gem online! Everything about this place was well done, simple design, sleek, clean and thoughtful. The price is honestly amazing! Will absolutely return next time we're in the ar

Pro's; Everything is close by walking distance. Cute room. Con's; No microwave, horrible musty smell, water damage bathroom plus suspicious stain on door. Other guests believe it's blood stains from previous review. Should replace door. No office. TV doesn't work. Hard bed. We could hear the conversation next room over.

I am going to let you in on a little secret…read more... Yeah, I'm going to share with you what i THINK is the best kind of getaway, well, at least in my humble opinion. It's the kind that doesn't abruptly end, but it just sort of.... keeps on going. Let me explain. Have you ever gone on vacation and said to yourself, or to your spouse or even to your kids.... "Gee, I could have really used one more night" Or Let out the exaggerated (Ughh)... "I don't want to go back to work tomorrow, I wish we could just extend our trip by just one more day" Well... On a recent trip with my family, We INTENTIONALLY did just that. My wife booked us a 2 night stay in Paso Robles at a beautiful boutique style/chain hotel. (The Ava Hotel in Paso) (Check out my review for the deets) Usually, when we do these short, weekend trips, I work up until the day of our trip and then go back the very next day once we return... But, NOT THIS TIME! Yeah, This time, my wife intentionally told me, let's book one more night on the way home from our trip in Paso just to break up the drive home and enjoy one more day off of work and time with the fam. Heck, I've got loads of PTO and who wants to be at work anyway, so it wasn't too hard to twist my arm on this one. And just like that.... Solvang, Here we Come! Yes, the cute, quaint town of Solvang is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway or even just for a one night stay like we did. Of course, my wife, the Queen of finding the best places to stay/eat... (AND I AM THE ONE WHO IS THE "ELITE" haha) booked us a room at the Landsby hotel and it was nothing short of a treat. Here's why: The Landsby is more than just a room... Inside of a hotel... Located in the heart of this Danish town known as: SOLVANG It wasn't just, "let's build a hotel where the people can stay and explore the town while they are here". At least that's not the impression it gave me! Instead, The Landsby has a Charm about, it has Character and most of all it gives you the impression that you are in a modern-day Dutch village. But one of my favorite parts.... The Room Key, keyword, "KEY" Yeah! The room key is an actual Key!!! A metal, lock and key, just like the good 'ol days! Ain't no digital, pre-programmed, modern day, technologically advanced system like every other hotel does it.... And I liked it! And to match the old school style key... The t.v is in black and white, the internet is run on dial up and the telephone is a rotary dial..... JUST KIDDING!!!! But wouldn't that be cool! Aside from the small town European vibe that the exterior of the building gives you, once you step inside both the hotel and then your room, you are immediately transported to a place that feels welcoming, familiar and most of all comfortable. Because this was a short stay (just a one nighter) we didn't take advantage of the amenities like we normally do, but next time we will. A lobby bar (our favorite place to check out), an onsite restaurant (Mad & Vin which loos really good), an outdoor courtyard to sit and relax, and complimentary cruiser bikes to explore the town. The Landsby is Pet friendly, so definitely check out their webpage for details for your furry friends. So....... Now that I've let you in on my little secret, I don't want you to keep it that way! Spread the word! Pass it along! Tell a friend! Come check out the Landsby in Solvang!!

The balcony door's lock was not working. I text them when we checked in to report issue with no response. The hotel room was beautiful and pleasant. I loved the nespresso coffee, the lounge area. They also had a reading lounge. Everything was artistic with great color, very new and clean. Another issue I had was that I booked through a 3rd party and prepaid room when over night I received an extra charge notification. When I called in the morning around 6:30 am I was advised no manger was available until 7 am and someone would call me then. I waited until 7:30 am as no one called me I called again. I was advised they were having systems issues with their app. Since it was a 3rd party the app was charging me the 3rd party charge. Which was $50 less what I paid to the 3rd party. I advised them I had already prepaid. They advised me they would release hold in 2-3 days. I called the 3rd party to advise the above. They called Winston staff as they shortly after sent me a text. I do believe Winston was in error to charge me while I had already paid the 3rd party. The funds were released the next day. Keep an eye on credit card notifications if stay here. Other than the above issue and Check in service I would stay here again. The room was comfortable with the exception of the balcony door not locking.

A Perfect Start to the New Year! Stay Dates: Dec 31 - Jan 2…read moreWe couldn't have asked for a better place to ring in the New Year than The Vinland Hotel and Lounge. From the moment we checked in on New Year's Eve, the atmosphere was welcoming, upscale, and festive. What we loved: * The Lounge: Having the lounge right on-site was a game changer for New Year's Eve. The drinks were expertly crafted, and the vibe was sophisticated yet high-energy. It was the perfect spot to celebrate without having to worry about transport. * The Rooms: Our room was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. After the late-night celebrations, the bed provided a fantastic night's sleep. * Location: The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the area. We loved being able to walk to local shops and restaurants during our stay. * The Staff: Every team member we encountered was professional and genuinely friendly, even during a busy holiday weekend. Waking up on January 1st in such a beautiful, well-maintained hotel set exactly the right tone for the year ahead. If you're looking for a blend of style, comfort, and great service, I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!

On April 9, I cancelled my reservation. On the 10th I received an email from their manager Katie F to call I with my credit card information for the refund due to a change in their system. On April 11, I called to provide my information. The person I spoke with was quite rude until she learned that Katie was the person that told me to call it. I provided my card information. However, I never received a refund. On April 18th I emailed Katie regarding the refund but haven't heard back as of today, May 1.

Have been here twice for Business and both times a great stay. I really like this property. A lot…read moreto offer and close to downtown Buellton and various food and shopping. I typically try to stay at Hilton properties when I travel as much as I can. This location is very clean, has a modern feel and it seems remodeled recently, the staff is very friendly as well. Hampton Inn & Suites also give you a nice complementary breakfast and free parking, this is a great value. My room was very nice, clean, modern style. The rooms come with a mini fridge, coffee maker as well as a microwave, everything you need. The bed and pillows are comfy, the bathroom is nice and large with a full glass shower. This property also has a small Business center, a nice lobby, a pantry for snacks and misc. items. They also have a great gym here, which is a big plus in my book. They have a Precor FTS glide multi function weight machine as well as free weights, treadmills, elliptical machines and a Peloton bike. The only thing that I would improve here is adding a second bench so if there are more than one person trying to use it, other than that a great gym and have all you need for a great workout. Next time I am in the area, I will for sure be staying here once again, great property. Enjoy!

Stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Solvang and it honestly could have been a five star experience. The…read moreroom was clean, the amenities were great, and I loved the convenience of the digital key being ready. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because of the fire pit situation. We were excited to use it but were told multiple times it was not ready until 7 or 7:30 pm. I even called twice, and when we were finally told it was ready, we went down right away and both fire pits were already taken. We only got to enjoy it for about an hour before it was shut off at 10 pm. It would have been better if we were told to go down earlier or given an option to reserve instead of being told to wait. It was really cold and we ended up waiting outside, which took away from the experience. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub while we waited in the cold. But overall, would stay again.
