I really enjoyed my meal. My burger and the thin fries were great. The toffee pudding was awesome.

Great beer garden in the summer. Nice staff, good service and nice pub food.

Rude staff, overpriced awful food, felt sick after trying to eat it. Real shame since it used to be a nice place.

One of my favorite pub experiences while visiting London…read more The man at the door helped us find a table in a very crowded first floor room. We learned early on in London that pubs have dining rooms upstairs which usually require a reservation and then the bottom floor is for drinks and meals picked up from the bar. This visit was about stopping in for a pint and grabbing a bite to eat. After acquainting ourselves with the bar menu we ordered food at the bar and were served fairly quickly. All three of us enjoyed our meals but what was memorable for me was I had the best fish and chips here. The versions I had afterwards were not as tasty. The first floor was hoping and lively and loud so if you're looking for quiet this isn't it. Was great for people watching and hearing other people's conversations. And man, those fish and chips were good. Wish I could have gone back for seconds.

Was really excited to visit White Cross, and maybe that's why I left wanting more. Place was very…read morecute and inviting, but often times I felt very cramped even when the place wasn't busy. They were accommodating to a couple changes, we just wanted to try as much as possible. Burger was very flat in flavor and the bun wasn't great at all. The fish and chips were great though, was not disappointed with that at all. Seems like more of a place to time up high tide and have a couple pints vs having a nice meal.

I like this pub and consider it to be my 'local'. It has a good selection of Real Ale and other…read moredrinks, a small but good food selection; however I like it mainly for watching the football. They have a selection of TVs as well as a big screen; they even pipe the sound of the TVs into the toilets. They are able to show 2 games at the same time, so this is good for things like Champions league evening. During a big match the pub can get really busy, however normally you'll be able to find a perch somewhere. There is a room at the back with comfy sofa's and a TV; if you get there with plenty of time, this would be great place to watch a game with a selection of friends in relative privacy. Friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, an obsession with self made flavoured vodka drinks and pub that feels both wintery and summery during the seasons. Certainly worth popping your head in for a drink whist out in Richmond.

The regular Fuller's ales are on tap, of which I particularly recommend the ESB (Extra Strong Bitter). Several national and international lagers (Staropramen) are also available. Sports coverage from several flat screens It's a community pub, so expect most punters to be locals. The bar man was friendly and down to earth upon my visit, and I rather enjoy that. Prices for beer are average for the area. Good option for a quick pint, or two.

The Vault is on my walk home from work and so we meet there for dinner at least one night a week…read more The food is great - we always order their garlic mozzarella bread with carmelized onions, lightly baked. It is just delicious. Also, I order salad with marinated grilled chicken. My husband usually gets whatever the special is that night - they have great specials! He enjoys the vast selection of beer and always finds one he likes - he is very picky. I'm known to be particular myself but enjoy their house Chardonnay. We walked by the Vault so many times before we tried it - mostly my fault because I didn't relish the idea of walking down steps past a smoker with an ashtray into some gloomy dank restaurant. My husband convinced me to try it and I found it bright, cozy, and with wonderful varied/Mediterranean high quality food...now oftentimes when we try another restaurant in Richmond I find myself wishing we had just gone to the Vault but we already in just five weeks of living in Richmond have frequented the Vault so much that the staff know us by sight. This is their quiet time right now so easy always to find a table. They said their busy season is October through March so we look forward to experiencing that with them. Update: I saw another review saying they don't have customer wifi and wanted to confirm that they DO have customer wifi at least as of today.
