Her space definitely sparks creativity with a combination of simple and exciting decor. You can just tell that a lot of magic is made in the room and there are a variety of artistic mediums all around. The class itself was well paced and fun. I had water colored a few times on my own, but it was cool to learn some techniques and get to practice them. Everyone's pieces turned out a little different, but that was part of the fun. Ashley created an amazing sense of support and community and was a fabulous guide. I would love to take another class from her someday in the future!

We called ahead on a Friday to see what the availability is and it's only walk-in so we went after…read morework. The staff was friendly and helped us understand the process of picking out a piece and painting it. There are also instructions on the wall on the steps you need to take to decorate your piece and there are labels everywhere to make sure you know what you're doing. When you first walk in, you pick a piece of pottery out to decorate/paint. There are a ton of items to select from including bowls, mugs figurines, and plates. I picked a little bowl to paint and pulled up my Pinterest board for inspiration. I went to go pick out my colors and they all had swatches on them with 1-3 coats of paint to show you how it looks when fired. They also have precision tip paint bottles (in the same selection as the regular paint) for little details and stamps. They provide you with assortment of paint brushes, decorated pieces for inspiration and different foam applicators for ombre looks. They also give you ceramic palettes and a water mug to clean off your paintbrushes. After you're done with decorating, you clean up your items and put them in the correct compartments for the staff to wash. Then you pay and they tell you when you can pick it up (usually within a week). There was only one staff member when we were there, but she was super helpful and kind. As we left around 6 PM on Friday, it got very busy.

It's located in a very cute portable surrounded by other businesses, it reminds me of a little village. She painted me a planter pot and painted half of it in two colors so that I can switch the sides, so creative. We were there for almost 3.5 hrs, never felt rushed or anything like that. When you arrive, the staff will walk you through with the process and will ask that you pick out the pieces that you would like to paint. Then, when you're done, they will show you the process and off to painting you go! It takes about 2 weeks to get the pieces back, so if you're in a hurry, you might want to plan accordingly. They do not charge for studio fees like other places, the price is already incorporated into the pieces and I appreciate that. I would totally recommend this place.

I felt warm and fuzzy but the customer service others have written about I did not experience. I first felt like a ghost walking from room to room seemingly invisible to human eye as no one said anything to me. This feeling was further felt when we decided to get a drink at the bar and the hostess / waitress pointedly addressed my friend without so much as a glance, body language completely focused on him, as though I was not there. We then went to the bar where the bartender greeted us with, "IDs out!" and then left. No "hi" no "here's a menu, I will be back over". Just "IDs out!" Look, I get that the Liquor Board is out about as other restaurants have explained overly apologetic for asking for an ID from someone who couldn't pass for under 35 if I tried (and these days I suspect I couldn't even meet that young of age) but barking at me as the first employee who said anything to me only guarantees I will not be back. The only person who managed to be pleasant was a young woman with short black hair blue bangs and blue and burgundy tips. Everyone else? About as warm as the Arctic waters. I can get drinks and cards elsewhere and grateful to know my experience is singular and not the norm.

Paper Fling was JUST what I was looking for!…read more When looking for designs for my wedding invitations I spent months looking for ideas online first but I was still unsure. I really wanted to be able to feel the quality of the paper and see the printed ink before spending hundreds of dollars. I first went to Paper Source in Bellevue. Their store was beautiful, but when I asked for help with invitations they pointed at a huge stack of gigantic books full of invitations. Not quite the help I was looking for. After about 15 minutes of being overwhelmed and trying to find a place to set this 10 pound book of paper, we left. I ended up going to Paper Fling with my fiance and one of my bridesmaids. Even though we had no appointment, Ruth immediately sat us down and started working with us. I told her what I wanted and she brought out the perfect book of examples. I found what I was looking for in less then five minutes. Ruth was great to work with and she helped us pick font styles, wording, etc. My proofs were emailed in PDF format to me within a week, and my invitations arrived at the store two weeks after that. Smooth, efficient service with a smile! I definitely recommend buying your invitations from a wonderful store like this as opposed to just buying them online! There is definitely a price, though. For 75 invitations with folds, pockets, and heavy paper it ran us about $600. But being totally satisfied with the end product? Priceless!
