For context, I am a Mexican American from San Antonio,TX, and I make many of the dishes on their menu. It must be said that whether you decide on seafood, nachos, birria, enchiladas or burritos, your taste buds will be delighted and very happy. I ate the Camarones à la Diabla (spicy shrimp), and their Ranchero Sauce is probably the best I've had! The flavors were addicting, the rice perfectly cooked and flavored, and the shrimp was perfectly prepared! Drink selections abound AND they have aguas frescas too!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Katriniaz!!!

I don't know much Spanish but I'm pretty sure elotes roughly translates to "saucy crack on a stick". The chicharrón preparado was new to me and it was a delight. This place is worth the drive to east side. UPDATE: They're down by the lube place across from Family Dollar by the overpass most days and out at 7 Acres on Sunday. I just got back from vacation in SoCal last month where I always get some bombass tacos from trailers on the side of the road. Xilitla is the only place around Paragould/Jonesboro where I have found that kind of tasty quality. The Mexican restaurants aren't even the same kind of food. The other 'food truck' here in town with the same style of tacos doesn't even come close to the flavor and quality. They're little more than a miniature standard Mexican restaurant. When I'm yearning for street tacos, Xilitla is the only place to go. Just took the family this past Sunday. Got some menudo, tacos, and burrito. Also got horchata now. It was awesome. Everybody loved everything we got, again. Even my wife who isn't a big eater got more tacos than she normally would because they were so good.

I've had the Elote (cob corn smothered in queso fresco and a hotter sauce if you like), but I always go for the tacos. These are like authentic street tacos. This is not Taco Bell. Once someone showed up they tried to take my order and talk to the guy behind me at the same time. I asked for a taco salad sour cream on the side and sopaipillas' with the ice cream on the side as well. When I got my food. Neither one had the items on the side. There was a large section of sour cream on the salad and ice cream melting all over my sopaipillas. I told them I had asked for those items on the side and they just looked at me and said, what, do you want us to fix it? I said yes. When I got it back they had taken a spoon and just scraped the items off the side of the food. Once I started to eat my taco salad. I mixed it up and it looked and had the texture of baby food. Just not worth the money or time.

My chicken fajitas came out piping hot and the chicken was cooked properly. Strangely enough, I found it to be a bit underseasoned, when usually the opposite is true at many Mexican places. Beans and rice were good, so were the chips and tortillas. Portions were plenty big. I also really liked their salsa picosa (spicy salsa) which is available upon request--I'm guessing its a mix of smoky chipotle and chile de arbol peppers. I would definitely not have a problem coming back again, especially if I was staying at the hotels next door.
