Ordered my food today at lunch and they brought me the wrong food. Told the waiter it was wrong and he said no it is not it's what you ordered. I never order nachos because I do not care for them. I will go back one more time and if that boy is still working I will not place an order. What happened to the customer is always right. read more

I give them 5 stars because this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. I've tried an assortment of their meals but my favorite one is the chicken tacos with lettuce and cheese. I also get their guacamole dip and it is always super fresh and delicious. My husband gets the cheese dip and isn't the fake stuff, pretty delicious as well. He also gets rice with chicken and cheese which he always likes. Great service! They always show up before you run out of something and refill right away. These workers could not get out the correct food ordered if I went back to the back and cooked order myself. They are completely disorganized and totally unprepared for more than one table at a time. The food is bland. I can't taste any mexican spices at all. For the price, the food amount small. We received taco bell sizes. Let me start by saying this place needs to take the authentic out of their name. This place is nothing more then an overpriced Taco Bell...heck Taco Bell has more flavoring in their food. I have been to this location many times and have never felt so welcomed at a restaurant before!! I have went to the one in Jonesboro off Caraway Road and not felt so welcomed. I ordered a chalupa lunch meal and they brought my plate out and it was what I thought was a tostada. When the waiter explained the "chalupa" plate he mentioned a deep fried tortilla...I was fine with my plate either way. But he assumed I didn't speak Spanish and went to talk about me and laugh with his co workers. I'd rather drive to Paragould than return to the one nearest me. read more

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The wait staff was not very attentive, had to wait a long time for our drinks, the food came and 3 of us all had different uninspiring meals. Couldn't decide which one was the worst. But the taco salad won out as it had no lettuce and had a lot of runny stuff like a chicken pot pie. Suggest you go to a different place if you want Mexican. Carnitas are outstanding. The chili verde was outstanding. The margaritas are good both frozen and on the rocks. We are at the Linwood location, which was not on Yelp but we thought we would try it out. The restaurant is close to the Holiday Inn. The servers are very attentive and sweet. For Paragould, this is about the best Mexican food you'll get (unless you go to the taco truck in town, Taqueria Jalisco), and that ain't saying much. Their carne asada tacos are fairly good, and the fajitas aren't bad either. The cheese dip is good, and I think this might be the only place that I don't taste Campbell's Tomato Soup in the salsa. The chips are even good and taste freshly made, not out of a bag from Wal-Mart. My wife usually gets the burrito and it's huge. The rice and beans are your standard stuff. The big news is they have the new location out on 49 where Fender's used to be, and they're going to have alcohol. Once that happens this will be a weekly stop for the wife and I. read more

First off I must say that the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because there really isn't much local competition, so maybe it's the best of the least. I started off a weak house frozen margarita, then "cheese dip" aka QUESO in 99% of most other Mexican restaurants. I ordered fajitas thinking that might be a safe bet, but it came out looking like mush. We stopped here for a bicycle tour and Wanted to see the Mexican food offerings compared to my hometown. This place was legit. Good service, pretty much everything you'd expect to see on a good Mexican menu. I had the chile rellenos, I also ordered a guacamole tostada (which was not on the menu, but they did it perfectly to my request anyhow). They handled our large group well, even doing separate checks for 10+ people. I'd highly recommend it. read more

Moved from California recently, so we were comparing local fare to the authentic Mexican food you get everywhere on the west coast. First, the service was great. Our drinks were refilled often, they checked on us regularly, and while not overly friendly, they were at least attentive. Regarding the food: we are not sure if the Hispanic staff was taught to cook the food this way or if they have "toned it down" for the taste of the local patrons, but our overall opinion was that it was mostly weak with little or no flavor. I ordered the nachos that came with chicken, beef, and beans. The platter consisted of chips, meat, cheese sauce, lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a spoonful of sour cream. I expected some kind of salsa, but there was none. That may have given the plate some flavor, but not so. The chicken was the most edible of the three. It at least looked and tasted as though they had used some seasoning in the preparation. The only seasoning I could taste on the beef was maybe a little salt. It was finely ground, grey and tasteless, I only took two bites and left the rest. The beans just tasted like my mama's pot of beans at home; again, little flavor. The salsa was so-so, the chips tasted fresh. My husband's chili verde was overly tart, tasting of straight tomatillos, but at least had a bite of some kind of pepper (unable to identify, as it was hot, but no flavor of jalapeno or other identifiable pepper). We won't be back, but will try other local Mexican food establishments in search of a bit more spicy flavor reminiscent of what we are use to. read more
