Let me start with the food! Don's has the best quality of food, they take pride in the food they serve! Whatever you order, you will not be disappointed! There is a variety of choices on the menu. I'm sure you will find something. Steaks, fish, fried or grilled baked chicken, chicken strips, shrimp, burgers, sandwiches, plus all the sides and a salad bar. The service is amazing. Friendly waitresses, making sure the customers are take care of with refills, asking if you need anything and is everything okay! Know regulars by name! Rolling through Walnut Ridge with a church group and stopped to eat lunch at Don's It was a great day experience. Friendly people and great food. Destiny was our server and she was knowledgeable, gracious and friendly. I had the chicken fried steak with brown beans and fried squash. It was very good and the price was right. Overall our group enjoyed their food. The grilled chicken received the best reviews as well as the peach fried pie. Very much recommend. read more

Not great. I guess I should have had a steak but I'm not good paying $22 for a $12 steak. Nor enough help. Order waited on the window for 10 min making crispy ordered fries soggy just like the "Ruben". Not great. No lunch menu. Salad bar is MINIMAL and has pre shredded, Sysco iceberg. Not good. Wings were TINY and the breading was thicker than the meat. Not good. What this place needs is some stuff competition. read more

I'm through ordering Steak here. Meat is not high-quality, & Medium-Rare is inconsistent. Invariably the Bacon hasn't been cooked enough to be safe. Best place around. Amazing food, and by far the best steaks! I use to work for Jon & Angie Rorex for years. Amazing and honest folks. The place is hella clean and kept up very well. Angie makes sure all waitresses do their job well and take care of business. I have been to tons of restaurants in my time and Don's has always had the best food, service AND THE CLEANEST!!! I sometimes wonder how half of places are still in business but of how dirty that are. Dishes are washed perfectly and food is prepped accordingly. I would highly recommend this place the top of the line. I have seen behind the scenes, and trust me they are far the best around!!! read more

I'm not going to bash this place like some have. This is a GREAT local establishment. I went in to a packed place at 6pm on a Saturday night and all were locals. Apparently they have good fish and hush puppies because that seems like what everyone was getting. As I listened to the conversations around me I never heard anyone complaining about their food. In fact, they were enjoying it along with the fellowship. Now I ordered a cheeseburger and some fried green beans which weren't gourmet but I didn't have the expectation of that either. Like I said, this is just a local dining place. The burger was definitely a frozen patty but it was still better than fast food. All of the servers were probably between the ages of 17-21 and all were known by the patrons. All in all it's just a great little local restaurant that serves decent food. It's not a Ruth's Chris or Applebee's or Longhorn so don't stroll in expecting it. Instead c'mon in and enjoy some down home atmosphere with decent food at a reasonable price. read more

Went in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Table was sticky and not very clean. I ordered a steak. The salad bar had been picked over pretty heavily. The steak came out of the kitchen quickly. The steak wasn't anything to write home about, and it wasn't cooked right. The people behind me ordered hamburgers. When they came out they were the frozen patty style. This is the best kept secret in Walnut Ridge! The new menu has a large variety to choose from. The steak is great, but I also recommend the catfish or grilled chicken. My wife loves the fried green beans. The place is always busy and the wait staff very friendly. We eat here every time we're in town! read more

I'm a frequent customer of Don's Steakhouse. Lunch is when I visit the most. The lunch buffet is always good but Wednesday is my favorite. They have the best meatloaf I've eaten since my Mom's. Highly recommend Thursday night fish buffet. It is always delicious. Service is great too. They make a point to greet everyone with a hello and smile. read more

Well, I don't know what to say about Don's. It's not bad, it's not great. I have had better. I used to love to go there and get a burger. They were really good, but now they are doing something different with their burgers. They are not the same. They now look like hockey puck burgers,not freshly ground meat anymore. i don't much care for them. So I won't order that anymore. Sometimes the fish is good, sometimes the fish isn't. It's a gamble I guess. I always like the salad bar. So that's a winner with me. I ordered tater tots the other day and they tasted like fish. Yuck. So, I guess you never know what you are gonna get when you go there. They could do some cleaning too. I am sure that many people have their favorite dish there. I just havent found mine. Our waitress was terrible, it was almost as if she didn't want to take care of our table from the beginning. The hush puppies were so over cooked i really think i could have thrown it and hit the window and broken it out. When she brought our food we did not have eating utensils and when we ask for these necessities you would have thought we ask for her to lasso the moon for us. Needless to say we did not reward her ever so rude behavior. Their food can be good but is not consistant. Sometimes is great other times not so much. read more
