    S'mores cookies

What a COOOOOL place! The old bank/newspaper/mob boss hideout/etc...is the perfect setting for the really cool bakery/bistro! Kidding about the mob part, but all of the seating is very very neat, vintage, comfy, and it just has a really awesome vibe. Seems very strange that this place is in Walnut Ridge, but really hope that town appreciates just how unique of a gift they have in this place. We drove about 45 min just to come get a certain ice cream that turns out to be the only place in NE Arkansas that carries The Mighty Peach. We just thought we were making the trip just for that specific ice cream, but got such a special evening in our visit. I have no idea what the name of my sandwich was but it was pretty solid. Had some things on it that I would normally pass on or remove, but was gonna give their way a try and it worked really well together. Also tried the Headliner which was pretty good as well. The bread itself is just perfect for both sandwiches I tried. Got to sample their chicken salad, and it may have been one of the best things I've had recently. Will def order that on my next visit. Bakery....overwhelming! The smores cookies fresh out of the oven were absolutely perfect. The churro cheesecake cookies are like a fabulous snickerdoodle on steroids. Then of course they have The Mighty Peach ice cream which honors a wonderful charity in the great state of Arkansas. For the best part, yep that's right! Macy & Jacob have to be the absolute restaurant owners dream for customer service in a staff. So knowledgeable about the menu, the bakery, the building, etc... Both steadily working the whole time we were there, and all while wearing a smile. The only reason we know their names is because of just how amazing of a job they did while we were there. I want Jacob to make be a fresh batch of chicken salad the next time I come and we want Macy to fix her fresh s'mores cookies for us again! Like mentioned earlier, we drove 45 min in hopes of just landing some ice cream, and wound up finding soooo much more in this special little place. Don't screw this up Walnut Ridge!

I've been to Walnut Ridge only twice, and both times I ate at The Post! I love the vibe/decor/antique building! I love the amazing, friendly service! I love the delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked and presented food and many options! Next time I'm eating dessert first as over been too full for it before. You've GOT to experience this jewel when you're in the area!

Traveling from Branson, MO to Memphis - absolutely no food choices along the route we could find for a decent salad/sandwich - until I stumbled upon The Post. It was a little further into our drive than I was hoping, but it was worth the stop. I had the Editor's Club sandwich. Everything tasted fresh. The atmosphere of this place also can't be beat. So glad we found this gem!

I'd give 4 stars for the service and fast turnaround time even when stretched thin on the Eclipse day. It was clearly the busiest day of the year at this cafe and the staff mostly stayed on top of it. Food was okay, probably not at their best due to the busy day. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

An adjustment to my earlier review, they have guest WIFI, just look for the sign at the counter.

The food here was good but sometimes certain items are not available. A really nice place to stop in and eat when traveling through.

Cute little place in an old bank building. Quirky surroundings. Fresh salads, sandwiches and baked goods. Very friendly staff.
