Absolutely amazing food! The burgers are great. The gypsy hash is to die for! Only downside is they aren't open everyday!

Found another good burger in Paragould, AR. If you are looking for a good burger around Paragould…read morearea and can't find one, the problem is you cause there are some really good burger spots all over that town. This one came w/a very interesting story that of course I will pass on to you. I was craving some southern grub and found myself just a parking lot away from a food truck that read 'Skip's Country Kitchen'. Pulled on in and asked to see a menu. The menu read 'Van's', so I had to ask. Long story short, Skip closed down due to health problems & leased the truck out to a guy named Van. Now what is the history behind Van? Well it seems like for many years he established a pretty solid reputation as running the restaurant inside Fox Hills Country Club. That all came to an end a year ago when a drunk 19 yr old ramped his vehicle into the dining room and it caught on fire and it burned to the ground. Then he leased a food truck in the rail yard area of downtown Paragould until a tornado picked that trailer up and tossed it onto its face. Fortunately for the area, Van is persistent and found another empty trailer in town ready to lease, and man are we sure glad he landed on his feet once again. Did my normal DBCB w/crinkle cut fries. Very good burger w/thick patties and fresh toppings. Only thing I would change on my next visit is I would ask them to toast that bun to give it a little bit more chance to handle all that meat. Good local folks serving up good local food! Stop in and be gracious. Encourage them to keep going. They have been through a whole lot over the past year. It is located in the food trailer park behind Kum & Go.
