Well, it's a registered trademark, so guess where the only place is that you can get one? It has quite a story. The current owner bought the name and several of the buildings from the government, who took over the original Mustang Ranch, which was a few miles to the west. Contrary to popular belief, the government never ran the old ranch, they had a third-party running the ranch the new owner actually had the original buildings flown by helicopter to the new location. The original Ranch buildings are apparently now used for "private events." The current building, which used to be called the "wild horse Ranch", is a very nice building, from what I did see of the inside. The new building is very nice. I met a gentleman on the outside, and I told him that I simply wanted to get a T-shirt. He said no problem at all. We went inside, and I waited in "the parlor", while he went to get the person that runs the gift shop... one of the girls actually stopped by to say "hi, what's your name?" I told her I was just there for the gift shop, and she was like, "OK.". No pressure at all. I *can* say that she was extremely pretty, as were the other ladies who were sitting at the bar talking to people. You can tell that this is a very high class place. I got the T-shirt for my friend. 30 bucks. Not cheap, but it was a good quality T-shirt. While I am not interested. In the main reason for being here, reading the other reviews, I hear that they do tours, and that apparently they also have a very good restaurant. I would come back just to try that. It is open 24/7 for obvious reasons. The food and drink is reasonably priced, which was a surprise. The portions were enough for some to take leftovers. Be aware of the places' actual main business. No cameras/phones are allowed to be used inside either establishment. Videos of naked and semi naked women are shown on various screens with mirrors on the walls, makes it nearly impossible to avoid these scenes. There is also often a performer on the pole located on a stage in the dining area. Naturally a number of ladies are situated at the bar and tables. You can't forget where you are. Warning. If you are bothered by taxidermy the bar and sitting area are decorated with dozens of creatures. Pretty sure it's 21 +, but you should check their website.

It took me quite a few months to be able to get my bracelet back from Palace. But along the way Brooke was always available to answer questions. This place really came in clutch when I was in need, and they even loaned me what I actually needed, compared to what they originally offered. This past weekend I was going to breakfast down the way, and had some time to kill with the wait so wondered on down. This is a GREAT local music shop with small venue in the back. So many instruments and a very cozy/warm atmosphere. The converted house is the perfect building for this type of business. The owner (or one of them?) was quick to greet us and show us around the place. I tried out a couple of vintage instruments when I was there and he was very knowledgeable and informative about what I was playing. Looking forward to coming back for a live performance at sometime. They seem to have routine jam sessions as well as touring musicians stopping by the place.

We rang the doorbell and were greeted by one of the owners, Don, and his dog LadyBug. Don informed us that if we were looking for records, we were in the wrong place but told us to come check out what they DID have. Mountain Music Parlor is a cute little shop filled with all sorts of instruments. So many that you'll have to go see for yourself including endless ukuleles, cricket violins, guitars, and more. The most amazing thing about Don was that no matter what obscure musical instrument or accessory we asked about, Don had it! From cajons to violin mutes. He also showed us the performance room where they have different jam sessions including Celtic nights, Old Time, Cowboy, Aloha Ukulele, Open Mic, and Bluegrass. They also have music lessons available for various instruments. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon Mountain Music Parlor and will definitely be getting all of my musical knick knacks from them for the foreseeable future. It's just me and my doggo, so I try and grab a small dock vs a larger one, and I like the ones that dogs can fetch easier from even if they don't like to jump off. It's such a beautiful relaxing time. I don't usually stay past noon - 4 hours is plenty of time to wear the pup out, and get some reading and sun in. I wish tourists would understand there is an etiquette to the docks - public or not. People go early because they want to enjoy the dock to themselves. It's rude to just walk on without asking, like some jerks did today. My dog doesn't like strangers, so was barking and growling - like seriously guys, read the room and find another place to "take pictures". They were lurking around, talking loudly, just wanting to make me leave. RUDE. There are 37 docks, find one that doesn't have a dog on it maybe?
