It was fun. My 7 year daughter really liked it. It's not super entertaining for anyone who isn't a kid and doesn't have an imagination. So go with an open mind and just enjoy it for what it is. We purchased the combo tickets to do the lab rat maze. That was really fun. It's outside so it will be cold. Probably really fun at night. I recommend this for families with small kids.

Outside is a great photo backdrop.

Wish it could have been better, but when we got there 2 hrs after the posted opening, it was still closed. Not even the courtesy of a note on the door. Waste of the tickets we were given as part of our hotel stay. The outside was a good spot to take photos of with the family though.

Just dont, I know it looks fun but just don't. Takes 5 minutes so when its $5 bucks you pay for a dollar a minute. It is lame.

Mind you the website says no refunds, but I thought I would ask (the two other places we schedule tours with gave us a refund and I was appreciative). August 4 - I get an email - all three tickets or just one? August 5 - just one, my mom's, my sister and I are still coming. August 7 - am I able to get a refund? August 11 - I can get a refund, but they need to add a $13 tour insurance fee and I can get a partial refund. August 11 - I reply - that works. (Something is better than nothing.) August 15 - am I getting a partial refund? August 21 - am I getting a partial refund? So here comes the partial review - I can't even get into all of it - your head would explode... Within the first five minutes the tour guide talks about how his boss makes up stories. (I take a deep breath and say, zone out, enjoy the beautiful weather and trolley ride.) He starts off a story - "It was a dark night..., no, it wasn't a dark night, it's dark tonight." Head slap! We're parked in a cemetery, he shines his light on a headstone, then says, wait, that's not him. He then proceeds to tell a story about people putting coins on the headstones, then says no, they were rocks (which I, me, writing this, believe is a Jewish custom), then he proceeds to talk about the coins laid on the headstones. What the what?! The final crack up was near the end of the tour where the guide brings up Annabelle (which I only am vaguely familiar with seeing movie trailers, being 53 and the youngest guest on the tour), I have no idea how he is incorporating this into the tour as my sister turns to me and says - who is Annabelle? We drove around for 30 minutes after the tour to burn off energy, laugh at the ridiculous things the tour guide said and decompress. We were open to a fun, interesting evening. This guide was beyond awful! They asked for a review...

Pictures really don't do it justice -- the cliffs and sandstone formations are much more impressive in person. The tour is about 2 hours long and includes two stops where you get off the boat to explore. One stop is at Witches Gulch where you walk through a narrow, mossy canyon that feels almost magical, and the other is Stand Rock where you can see one of the Dells' most famous rock formations up close. The guides did a great job sharing the history of the area, including how parts of the Dells were preserved from developers, which is why the scenery still looks so natural today. Overall it was a really relaxing and enjoyable tour. The views, the history, and being out on the river made it well worth it. Definitely recommend if you're visiting the Dells!

We've done 3 walking food tours prior to this one and were excited to add it to our list. There were many things we loved about this tour; Stanley's enthusiasm, the beautiful day and great walking weather, the folks we chatted with on the tour and *most* of the food. The tour was extremely slow to get going. We were all very hungry; eating small breakfasts and no morning snacks in anticipation of a heavy food afternoon. The tour began promptly at 12:30. We spent a very long time in the Convention Center talking about Frank Lloyd Wright. And then when we left the history part of the tour continued for an hour. The first tasting of any food did not happen until a little after 1:30. First stop was Merchant, a funky restaurant/bar, where we were served a Small quarter of a cuban sandwich and a tiny arugula salad dressed in vinaigrette. The Cubano was very good but the serving we seriously tiny. Then we lingered waaaay too long (in my opinion) at the Merchant sitting at the table even though everyone had been done for a while. After the merchant we made Lots of little stops to look at landmarks around the capital area. And we did a little walk through of the capital building, which was very beautiful, but my tummy was still rumbling!!!! 2:22 was our second stop at Fromagination Cheese Shop. This was an absolutely adorable shop with oodles of cheese as well as other gormete food stuffs like cookies, pastries, honey, balsamic vinegar, mustard, jams and jellies and other gift stuff . 3 small pieces of cheese and 2 crackers. There were also a few samples around the store for tasting but really it was a very small food sampling. Shortly after that around 2:44 we made it to Ian's Pizza for a half-slice of Mac and cheese pizza. Ehhh. Did not like it. They had some really cool other kinds and just an awesome menu in general. Just was not into the Mac and Cheese slice. Ick Next up was a little after 3:00 and we stopped at Himal Chuli which was a Nepalese eatery for a Mango Lassi. I was disappointed that we did not get to go inside the restaurant. We just grabbed-and-go our drinks and walked to our next stop. At around 3:17 we stopped into State Street Brats where we were served half to a third of a brat and A half pint of Spotted Cow beer from New Glarus Brewery. Good tasting. But again, a very small sample Lastly we walked to UW campus to the student union for a vanilla malt. It was good. Wish we had gotten to try the ice cream. I'm sure they have some great flavors there. The union was amazing however, right on the lake. Lucky students. The tour ran over, ending around 3:45. My husband and I left still feeling kind of hungry which has NEVER happened to us after a food tour. So, we had a fun time but left with mixed feelings about the tour. Not sure how much we will recommend this one to ours friends. Would rather send them down to the zerve.com food tours in Chicago.

The tour lasts around 30 minutes and takes you through winding rock formations and narrow alleys. I was amazed at how the horses could walk us through such tight spaces. During the ride, the guide shared interesting facts about the rocks, the history of the place, and even about the blue roan horses. It was nice to learn how well these horses are cared for during the off-season and how they get to stay at the farm after they retire. Our horses were about 10 years old, and they did a great job. This was a very different and unique tour compared to others I've taken. I absolutely loved it! A wonderful way to spend time in the Dells.

I made sure to read a ton of reviews before coming here today. I had major concerns about people…read moresaying there were high charges to use your credit card and that they stop mid-tour to try and sell you trinkets. I was also worried about the religious comments many reviews have talked about as the last thing I want is to be paid to be proselytized to. When I arrived, I got even more worried about that as there are religious images everywhere. We were also frustrated because their website shows they open at 9 am (see screenshot) but we arrived at 930 to find other people waiting saying they were told they don't open until 10:00. We were not off to a good start. HOWEVER, all of that changed when the carriage pulled in. We walked up to purchase our tickets and there is large sign The ticket window that states there admission is $21.95 per adult and you will be charged a credit card fee. Right underneath that it says that if you pay cash tickets are $20. We chose to pay cash and I recommend that you do too, because that will leave you with more money to tip your driver. Our driver was very nice and informative and nowhere along our journey did he talk about anything religious. He explained that the canyon was formed by nature and untouched by man. Our tour was full of interesting information and a few laughs here and there. Asking for female volunteers to change the horse's diaper might have been a little misogynistic, but I don't think it was malicious. The tour was very laid-back and I felt comfortable. He did stopidway through the tour to rest the horses for a moment and offer us some postcards. He explained, as people have noted, that he makes the majority of his money as a tour guide from tips and from selling the postcards. We chose to purchase the cards at the end of the journey because we would have tipped anyway. It actually seems quite sad that the guides feel the need to do this in order to make a living wage. It was dog friendly but it was clear right away that the horses did not want our dog anywhere near them. So we were very respectful of that and made sure not to bring her close to them and to sit all the way in the back. She didn't bark or fuss at all and even fell asleep in our laps on the ride. There were 13 of us on the wagon so it was a little packed. It was a very short trip through the canyon, maybe 30 or 40 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. The Dells are incredibly touristy and this was by far the most enjoyable thing we did here. I would definitely recommend this tour, although I think it probably makes a big difference which guide you get. I also think that being prepared helped me enjoy the experience that much more. Happy trails everyone!

If one wants an interior view of local flora & fauna, this is low energy, fantastic way to explore it! Children & adults (esp those who are children at heart!) will thrill at riding the small scale train. We loved watching the engine be turned around on the hand-operated round table. Our favorite part of the visit was the personal attention we received from Conductor Greg! We visited on a late summer Thursday afternoon when the rail was not as busy, and he treated us to a personalized narrated tour of the history of the railway as well as the fauna, flora, & major attractions of the area. Thank you so much, Greg!! All told, this & the Wisconsin Dells Boat Tours were the highlights of our trip! You get to ride a mini train with a real steam engine. - The train conductor is very knowledgeable of the train's mechanics and history. He is a wealth of knowledge. - They have a mini train station where one can board, then the train goes towards the woods for 1.5 miles. Then, you stop, and the conductor tells you a bit about the train's history and mechanics. They also have a snack shop (pop corn, donuts, drinks, chips). - most of the staff are volunteers. You could really tell that they are passionate about trains. The needs improvement: - The sign to the entrance is easily missed. Keep a look out for it. - Land terrain is not paved. It is not wheelchair or stroller-friendly. - Not much shade. The kids' play area and tables have no shade at all. Be warned when you come by in the summer months. - The place needs landscaping. Lots of down trees. I understand they may be cleaning up after a storm in the place is run by volunteers. This place can use some TLC from gardeners, horticulture experts, and designers. We hope to go back in the fall when they have their pumpkinfest. I hope the place will be improved by then.
