He contacted me later in the evening and reassured me he'd come the next day. So I am usually very careful about placing my car keys in my purse and using the remote only to lock the doors HOWEVER accidents do happen and always when and where you LEAST expect it. I was out in the Modesto area visiting family and upon exiting my car I thought it would be smart to gather my purse and have my car locked before getting out of the car.... would have been a great idea if I would have remembered to take the keys out of the ignition before shutting the door closed... and locked!
