It's one of the two restaurants in the Greensboro airport. It's pretty much what you expect from airport food: good if you like bar food, but not anything mind blowing. It looks like they increased the prices since the last time I've been here. In my most recent visit I got the crispy shrimp with fries. Everything came out perfectly. Both the fries and the shrimp were crispy and well seasoned. I really enjoyed the sauce the shrimp came with. It was a good change up from the typical cocktail sauce. The service is usually pretty good here. If you come when it's less busy they'll come over and take your order in person. It was somewhat busy the last time I went so I had to scan a QR code to place my order. The process, from ordering to payment, is pretty seamless and convenient if you're in a hurry for a flight. The waitress was pretty attentive while I was there and made sure that my drink never got too low. Definitely one of the better, friendlier, and consistent airport restaurants I've been to. read more

On this side of the GSO airport, this is the only restaurant. That said, I was very impressed with the staff and the food. I didn't want a burger, so I decided to try the pulled pork sliders. Everything is cooked to order, so it's not fast food. Everything is served in styrofoam containers, which I thought was a little strange since I was clearly eating there. The pulled pork sliders were very hot and spicy. The buns were toasted, but very soft as well. I would have preferred a little more coleslaw on the sliders, so I recommend you ask for that when you order. It blends well with the heat. I sat at the bar of this establishment for 2 hours waiting for a delayed flight. The staff was more concerned with gossiping about each other and other customers than paying attention to the their jobs. I listened to one waitress discuss how she thought she was being "hexed" because someone left a $13 tip on a $66 bill. And that's just one example out of everything I heard: It was completely unprofessional to do all this within earshot of other customers. The food was just OK. They also tried sneaking in a "double" whiskey and coke on my tab when I was only drinking singles. I had to call them out on it and have them remove it from my bill. I am here regularly - and arrive early so that I can enjoy the atmosphere and friendliness of the wait staff. Melody, Kevin and other servers know who I am and always greet me with smiles and make me feel welcomed. It means lot when traveling to have the sense of recognition and care. I was shocked when Melody knew who I was on my second trip! She remembered my drink order and made sure I got what I needed and does this for so many travelers. She made recommendations for food and drinks that were excellent. The food is always good and fresh and they are willing to make something special. Melody and the rest of the staff do an amazing job in a tough environment. Folks are often anxious, tired and weary when traveling. I had to stay over after a weather related flight cancellation and Melody took great care of me until a very late closing! This friendly place makes the drudgery of flying much more manageable. I am not sure why this place has such low ratings. Every time I have eaten here I have enjoyed my meal and the nice heavy wine pours! Not to mention this is the only restaurant in the GSO airport. (So I'm glad it has good food and nice wine selection)! We ordered burgers fries and wine. Everything was fresh,delicious and hit the spot. Four stars for a small airport restaurant. Bacon cheeseburger was smoky and close to the medium temp I asked for. Dressed in onion, lettuce, tomato. Fries were hot and crisp. I had a margarita because they were out of ingredients for the original drink I wanted. Margarita was a average, but what do you want from an airport restaurant in a pandemic? They did substitute silver tequila instead of gold for me. Social distancing enforced, staff in masks. Menu reduced, plenty of beer, wine, and a couple basic cocktails. For food, burgers, pork sliders, wings, Cobb and Caesar salad. Again, airport food, but hey, it's ok! Oh, and service great. Server really made sure I never needed anything! read more

Visited this establishment today while waiting for flight to Atlanta...ordered a Bloody Mary, much to my surprise, when I received my check they had charged me for a double! When I inquired why, the "bartender" stated "it's their policy to make a double". Taken aback, I informed her " you didn't ask me if I wanted a double" and "I know I didn't ask for one! Her explanation was "it's their policy"...if this is so, it's manipulative!!! Word to the wise, If you stop in this establishment for a drink you better pay close attention to your check because you may be charged for a double you never got! I travel a lot and been to several airports all around the world and regardless what language is spoken, when I've ordered a Bloody Mary, they ask "would you like to make it a double"! The fact that they up charged me resulted in a hold of $21.00+ pending and won't be released until 7-10 days, plus I was charged &16.54 for a single, so I've got almost $38.00 invested in the most tasteless drink I've ever had! Moreover, I don't believe it was a double because I've had a double and I assure you this drink was no double! Also, observed certain customers, when requesting menus, were told to pull it up on their phone, while others were automatically given paper menus..."makes you go hmmmm"! My friend and I had a later flight out of GSO and tried to get on an earlier flight so we could get home earlier, but we didn't make it. With two and a half hours to spare and this place being the only option that had alcohol, this was the winner. As well as this being a restaurant, it also has a grab and go section with sandwiches and drinks and such. There are plenty of options to sit in here, whether it's regular dining tables, booths, high tops or the bar. (It was super busy - I'm assuming because of the alcohol situation) It has floor to ceiling windows with the view of planes coming to and fro. First we chose a table by the window but then some people moved from the bar so we went and sat there. We ordered a margarita and a berry mojito from our server at the table and when we got to the bar saw that he was making our drinks. I thought that was weird because usually the bartenders do it but I just figured that maybe they were all trained and just switched around. As I was watching him I realized he had no idea what he was doing. He was taking forever and measuring out every little thing and putting it all in one glass and when I got the drink it tasted really bad. I told one of the bartenders I did not like my drink but I didn't know if that was just how they made them or if it was just made badly and she told me she would make me a new one. I told her I felt bad and didn't wanna waste her time if that was just how they are made and with pure southern hospitality charm she smiles and says "we can at least try". So she made me a new one and it was GREAT. As far as food options here, it's not a wide variety. Mostly fattening American food. We decided to order the chicken quesadilla's. I was kind of hesitant because usually quesadillas anywhere that's not a Mexican restaurant are an epic fail but I didn't want anything else on the menu. They tasted really good and it was a large amount of food. One thing I loved about sitting at the bar here is that there were outlets underneath so you can charge your phone/ laptop etc. I can't remember the girls name that ended up serving us at the bar (For any managers reading this it was 4.18.18 at around 5pm) but she made our experience very enjoyable because she was so friendly and happy! We had an early flight and plenty of time to kill (not a common combo in my experience), so we decided to treat ourselves to a sit-down breakfast. Hardly anyone was there, so why not! We got the breakfast sandwich with breakfast potatoes and buttermilk pancakes. HUGE portions and served quickly, a good meal to start the day. Sandwich was A+! Sourdough bread, sausage patty, a soft scrambled egg, melty cheddar, but what set it apart was the fresh tomato and a touch of lemon cream sauce. So nice! The potatoes were seasoned well too, and not too chunky. There were 2 pancakes, a little too thick and dense for my taste. Maple syrup was not 100% grade, sad considering the price. Could've gone without the pancakes and instead got fresh fruit to balance out the savory sandwich. Also... this was way too much food for 2 people! If you have the time to splurge and want to treat yourself, I'd recommend this place for sure over the Starbucks next door. Eat local and safe travels! read more

I had a pre-made turkey sandwich from the cooler here, as the restaurant was full and my flight was leaving too soon to make waiting for a table feasible, and there aren't any other dining options past security that I saw. So rude. We walked in looking for a table. There was no hostess stand or sign. I tried asking a server but they walked right by me. So we found an empty ta le that hadb3 chairs (we needed 4). Really excited that this is now an option at GSO. I had breakfast here as I was flying out, and I was very pleased with the food quality and taste. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was large and delicious, and was served with breakfast potatoes - they came out hot and perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. It did take a few minutes (15) to get my meal, because there were maybe 12 other people in the restaurant at 7am. Make sure you give yourself enough time. Other reviewers said this place had slow service. The few times I have stopped here I haven't had that experience. My most recent visit was surprisingly quick actually. Less than 10 minutes after I walked in the door I had food in front of me. The shrimp and grits are delicious. Most recently I tried the breakfast sandwich and it was really amazing. This is the only restaurant located in this gate area. While the server was nice and polite she was slow and forgot quite a few of the details of our order. She did correct the items but no one wants to wait for toast to be remade to eat with their cold eggs. The speed of service was impacted by the fact that she was the only server. When we walked in there was only one customer at the counter top, when we left, there were six other tables of customers. They need at least two people there to attend to customers. I wasn't really hungry when I sat down, but I love to try new places so I asked what I had to try on the menu and our server suggested that I try the pancakes. While the rest of my friends weren't impressed with their meals at all, I really enjoyed my pancakes. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sausage was very bland and average though. Tasted more like a hamburger patty. The coffee was also just ok, if you want something a little better, Starbucks is located right next door. Overall, if you are hungry and have about 45 minutes to an hour to spare it may be worth trying. read more

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a female bartender After sitting down for a few minutes. She had absolutely no personality and appeared to the the only employee on duty. I asked for a Coke Zero knowing that when I walked in it was in their cooler right inside the front of the restaurant. She told me that they didn't sell Coke Zero and I said yes you do, it's right there in your cooler. Rather than focus on the customer's request and going and grabbing one for me, she told me I could get one myself and she could bring me a glass of ice. I was flying out of GSO and my flight got delayed about 4-5 hours, so I plopped down at the bar and ordered some food. I got a burger (can't recall which one, but there really weren't all that many to choose from) and a beer and settled in for the long wait. The food was okay. I guess it is exactly hat you'd expect from the Greensboro Airport. But it was decent enough to enjoy. The service here wasn't the best, especially when it came to refills and closing out my tab. There was also a very noticeable point where the employees decided that those of us waiting on our delayed flight had been at the bar too long and they didn't really make an effort to check in on us and see if we wanted/needed anything else. But again, if you're at the airport and you run into a delay or you are hungry and waiting for your flight, this isn't a bad spot to stop in and grab a drink and a bite to eat. THE absolute WORST SERVICE by a bartender I've ever had!! I've been coming to this airport for 10years-I don't recall how long this woman w/the ponytail has been a bartender here , it's been a few years. She is horrible! Will NEVER make eye contact , makes you BEG for a drink! All the staff is this way , the guy w/the cinched jeans , even the manager -I travel for a living , and love to drink , but I never get more than 2 drinks at this spot because they refuse to let you order!!! I guess because it's the only bar these losers keep their jobs ! I see other patrons begging to pay or get a second round.
