Great ambiance and a perfect pit stop during a bike ride. Highly recommend this place.

We stopped by as a party of 4 on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised! It's so cute and tiny inside and the service is a little slow, with only one dish coming out at a time (my dad was basically finished with his breakfast burrito by the time my sister got her sandwich many many minutes later) but we thought everything was good. I got the little breakfast and I thought it was tasty, just a little too much butter on the sourdough. We will most likely be back to try other things!

We came today for a coffee and some food. Everyone else got ceramic mugs however they informed us they were out of ceramic mugs so I revived a paper mug which was slightly disappointing. Furthermore they were out of the toast I wanted to order and it's only 1pm. Finally the avocado toast also tasted like it was drowned in lime with had no avocado flavor at all. Disappointed to say the least. On the bright side it's a very cute place and nice outdoor seating

I tried the Campfire Brownie and my god was that the best dessert I've ever tasted. Took one bite and was more than satisfied. This recipe is immaculate and I need it. I also tried the breakfast burrito. It was pretty good. The energy is absolutely amazing. Very cozy and intimate. I felt at home.

But what truly made the experience special was the people. TBH the menu seems like New American classics that were familiar but upgraded. I thought that the extra candy tasting at the end was a nice touch (seen it at other Michelin star places), but after the the dessert, it was just sweet after sweet after sweet. The sweetness treat could have had a bit of balance. Service was good-- synchronous plate drop, prompt service. Water service stopped after dessert. Also I was a bit irritated by the waitress stopping conversation mid sentence. I'm sure it could not be helped, but doesn't change how I felt about it. Also they kept trying to take 2 of my dishes-- I don't think I am a slow eater but it felt rushed. Ambiance is definitely "vintage" TBH I think this is pricey for Michelin star w/ some of our party add ons it was $250/pp w/ tax and tip. It was a nice touch that they asked if someone was celebrating a special occasion, and gave that someone in our party a ice cream sandwich-- would have been nicer if they gave it to the rest of the party too.

We were prepared to split into two separate tables. The manager took it upon himself to offer a larger table that had a perfect view of a TV. It was so nice of him! We did order split plates (an extra charge) but the kitchen did serve them on split plates, which was nice. The burgers were super juicy and delicious. The fries were served hot and crispy. We did other appetizers of candied bacon which was disappointing. It just tasted like regular bacon. Not especially thick or sweet. That was the only disappointment of the visit. We also ordered the wings which were super delicious! We really enjoyed them. Our server Tanya was so friendly and accommodating. She was amazing. Overall a great experience.

We had no idea a restaurant like this was out in Woodside. The unassuming cabin led to a rustic bar, which then led into a greenhouse room, surrounded by redwoods. Our friend and our toddler loved the views. Food itself was fantastic, everything was very well prepared and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well. I had the quail as a starter and the venison, as my entree. The quail was very well, seasoned and well cooked with very juicy and tender and flavorful meat. The crust was perfectly crispy and was flavorful as well. The venison did not taste gamey at all and was melt in your mouth tender, i really enjoyed this dish. Finally, I had the panna cotta as a dessert, which we confirmed with the restaurant was vegetarian without gelatin. Very light panna cotta without being too cloyingly sweet.I really enjoyed this one too. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. And had nothing but good things to say. If you are looking for a unique restaurant for a special occasion, I would highly recommend this place.

I'd heard good things, but nothing prepared me for this hidden gem. We initially thought the little cafe next door was the main restaurant, but it turns out they're two distinct (yet connected) establishments. I had made reservations for the restaurant, expecting a casual spot, but was pleasantly surprised by its upscale yet incredibly welcoming ambiance. The staff were all super friendly, and our outdoor seating reservation was perfect after our hike. Inside, I noticed white tablecloths and a truly refined atmosphere. Definitely not what I was expecting, but in the best way possible! Our waiter, Raymond, was a true standout. He was so attentive and gave us fantastic recommendations. I went with the thick French toast, topped with blueberry compote and a sweet cream. It was absolutely divine! Kimberly loved her chicken and waffles, and Claudia raved about the Cañada breakfast. The French toast, in particular, was a revelation: warm, crispy on the outside, and wonderfully soft and gooey inside. It was perfectly balanced, and the side of pork sausage paired beautifully. I also enjoyed a delicious latte that complemented the meal perfectly. Though we were too full to try dessert, the menu looked incredibly promising, and I'm already planning my return to sample some. This place blew me away! The quality of the food and service far exceeded my expectations, especially considering the very reasonable prices for such a high-end experience. It truly feels like the best brunch spot I've ever been to. I stumbled upon it through an Instagram ad, and I'm so glad I did. I wish I could give it more than five stars. We wanted papusas and Comalito came up with spectacular reviews and was open (at time of writing,…read morethey open Fri-Sun)! Food and service were great. Food ordered: Yucca fries on the house! 1. Plantano Fritas (4/5) I love a plantains and these were delicious and less oily than other which I appreciate! Personal preference is a I prefer a little more sweetly caramelized plantains, but I did really enjoy this. The dish comes with a white creamy sauce and a refried bean dip - both yummy and not overpowering in flavor. Papusas: Lots of flavors to choose from! And in general, for all the papusas, the papusa batter is wonderful and the porportion of filling to papusa is perfect. 2a. Calabaza Papusa - mixed cheese + zuchinni (4/5) This was the most cheesey papusa, where the cheese was the heavy lifter. I enjoyed it and every bite had a nice cheese pull too it. I would have liked to see a little more zucchini green, and for it to add to the textures. 2b. Frijol y Queso Papusa - mixed cheese + refried beans (5/5) My favorite! Can't go wrong with a bean and cheese papusa and this was so so good. I recommend this classic pairing of flavors anywhere. I was thinking about this papusa for days. 2c. Chicken Papusa - mixed cheese + chicken (5/5) This was also really good. the chicken is mixed in with the cheese, so every bite has both, which was nice. There was also a lovely seasoning which balanced all the flavors beautifully. 3. Churros: This usually comes with vanilla ice cream, and the server warned us they didn't have any in stock. We were fine with that because we love churros. When we were complete with our papusas, they served us our churros and surprised with apple slices instead of ice cream which was a lovely touch. Parking: There is no designated parking lot that we have found, but the public 2 hour parking lot 2 blocks over on Second Ave! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Comalito. The hardest hurdle is parking, but once you find the public parking lot a couple of blocks over, it was easy to find and gives you a little exercise before you eat! Papusas were all delicious and there is a plenty of seating room. Keep in mind they are open Friday-Sunday only at time of writing.
