Cute spot just down the road from the Village Pub. The Firehouse Bistro has a casual neighborhood feel with paintings showcasing the history of the area. We had a great seafood stew and burger. Solid and simple.

Christmas Eve dinner was DELICIOUS. Set Menu but we were fortunate that what we wanted was listed. Starter was our only issue... shrimp appetizer. My fiancé is highly allergic and there was no substitute for it. The bread was crazy good!! Salad was light and perfect with blue cheese and the pea soup was very good!! The main meal we went with was the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked to our request and our waitress was courteous and friendly. When I asked for a good wine to go with my filet she brought me a great Pinot to taste. Ended up ordering a glass. My fiancé enjoyed his Long Island ice tea and we both liked our canoli's. Highly recommend to all who would love a romantic and memorable meal

We chose this restaurant based on location (wanted to eat in Woodside and take a nice drive) and it looked romantic and private. It opened at 5:00 and we walked in around 5:20. Only 2 tables had diners and there were at least 7 open tables in the front of the restaurant and more in the back which we didn't see. Any way that's significant because the hostess asked if we had reservations, we said no and she responded Oh and asked if we could hold on. She walked over to the waiter and they talked for a minute. She walked back over to us and said "ok, we can seat you but can you be quick, like in and out?". At this point we should have just walked out at that point but we didn't. She started to walk us to a 2 person table and stopped and redirected to a table in a less prime spot. Whatever, we are here let's eat and just do this. The water was pleasant but after he took our order he never checked on how we were doing. Portions were way to small for the price. Three bites of mashed potatoes and two bites of vegetables. Food looked nice but was bland. I think in the end the best part was the gravy on my husbands plate. When the hostess asked if we wanted the dessert menu I almost laughed out loud and asked if that would keep us at the table too long I'd we ate dessert. I think of your a regular Woodside attendee you might be treated as an inconvenience if you go. Reservation's recommend.

We arrived starving after a long hike at nearby Corte de Madera, and were craving some comfort food and beer to appease our appetites, and Ghostwood hit the spot! The Good: * Street, lot, and garage parking available, but more on that later. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Game room in the back with pool, pinball, and other forms of entertainment. * 50% off all drinks Fri & Sat night from 9 p.m. until closing. * Happy Hour Mon - Fri 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. * QR code menu ordering and payment through Toast, which is our favorite. * Service was friendly and efficient. * Fresh housemade beers and full complement of spirits and mixed drinks. * Chicken Tacos were a pleasant surprise, as they were delicious and packed with chicken and toppings. * Redwood Rodeo Burger was an outstanding smashburger! So much flavor and the meat-to-toppings-to-bread ratio was perfect. Definitely hit the spot! * Special big ups to the Beef Tallow Fries that were crispy and just fantastic. The Meh: * It is a family-friendly establishment, so prepare for unsupervised kids running amok in the game room while the parents get plastered. -_- * I thought the Fried Pickles were pretty good, but Carissa felt like they needed more batter or something. The Ugly: * Downtown Redwood City can be extremely popular, especially on weekends, so parking can be a real hassle. I'd recommend finding the Jefferson Avenue Garage which gives you the first two hours for free. Conclusion: Come for the beer but stay for the food. Highly recommended.

The space is sleek, modern, and light-filled, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends for lunch or evening drinks and bites. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Deviled Eggs: A must-order appetizer! Topped with tobiko/caviar, crispy shallots, and chives, they are incredibly creamy with a nice pop of texture and savoriness. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy, perfectly glazed in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. Served with a cool dipping sauce that balances out the heat wonderfully. Tacos (Carnitas & Shrimp): Both taco options were served on warm, fresh corn tortillas topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and served with a side of slaw and spicy salsa. High quality and super flavorful. Roasted Cauliflower: A gorgeous mixture of purple and white cauliflower tossed with a rich green pesto and drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce. A phenomenal vegetable side with a great kick. French Fries: Golden, crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a massive bowl--perfect for sharing across the entire table. Overall: Excellent presentation, generous portions for small plates, and a super welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for creative craft cocktails or grabbing a bite with a group near campus, Horsefeather delivers. Highly recommended!

TBH the menu seems like New American classics that were familiar but upgraded. I thought that the extra candy tasting at the end was a nice touch (seen it at other Michelin star places), but after the the dessert, it was just sweet after sweet after sweet. The sweetness treat could have had a bit of balance. Service was good-- synchronous plate drop, prompt service. Water service stopped after dessert. Also I was a bit irritated by the waitress stopping conversation mid sentence. I'm sure it could not be helped, but doesn't change how I felt about it. Also they kept trying to take 2 of my dishes-- I don't think I am a slow eater but it felt rushed. Ambiance is definitely "vintage" TBH I think this is pricey for Michelin star w/ some of our party add ons it was $250/pp w/ tax and tip. It was a nice touch that they asked if someone was celebrating a special occasion, and gave that someone in our party a ice cream sandwich-- would have been nicer if they gave it to the rest of the party too.

I was already suffering a sore throat , so during the break I told my friend I needed a drink if I was to sit through another stretch of the same format. Harry the bartender is one of the nicest guys you'll meet, and when I asked him if he could make me a hot toddy he didn't blink! Bar is small and is sort of an extension to the Curry pizza place. But it is absolutely at an amazing location and serves anything your heart desires. Friend had a hibiscus whatever with vodka and she was happy with it. I was more than happy with the hot toddy he made with Hennessy. Prices are middle of the road at $14 for a drink, and this place combines two of my absolute faves: Indian spiced wings and cocktails.
