The MA, LPN and doctor were fine…read more I gave it a two because front receptionist lady was so RUDE!! Wasn't even seen and she asks me what I was paying with. I told her and she tells me to put my card in... I asked her why and how much it would cost and she says "I don't know, you haven't been seen yet." Duh Sherlock, but then why am I putting my card into the machine? So I asked her why I was putting my card in and she told me that it would come right out of the account after I was seen for the amount they charge. (Obviously, not in a nice way) It would've been nice if you explained that to me instead of being rude...

The tvs are blasting in the waiting room so if you are feeling poorly that's not going to help…read more The receptionist was fine albeit curt. The lab tech who took my vitals asked me if I wanted to see a Dr (what??) and also didn't understand when I said I didn't know the date of my last period because I had a hysterectomy years ago. He asked me what a hysterectomy was. So yeh. The Dr came in without so much as a "hello" or "kiss my a**". This guy mumbles or has such a thick accent that I couldn't understand a word he said so I waited until he printed out the little directions to see what his diagnosis was and what to do about it. Total cluster. I should have waited to see a real doctor during the week I suppose. Also they printed out something about high blood pressure for me. My blood pressure was 121/66 -?

I gave one star only because there isn't an option for zero…read more Family Practice Associates was my primary care provider for the past six years--and prior to that, I was a patient there for another seven years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience ended that relationship. During a recent visit with a PA (whom I was seeing for the first time), he relied on lab results that were over 15 months old to conclude that I needed to be placed on a statin and switched to a different blood pressure medication. What was particularly concerning was the complete lack of a measured, evidence-based approach. A reasonable starting point would have been: "Your last labs showed elevated cholesterol--let's order updated labs to see where things stand today and then discuss next steps." Instead, the conclusion was immediate: I should begin a statin. For context, I scheduled the appointment simply to refill my blood pressure medication and request updated labs to evaluate several health markers I've been actively working to improve over the past year. Without asking how my current medication was working, the PA stated he wanted to switch me off Losartan--apparently unaware that another physician in the same practice had already adjusted my medication two years ago with excellent results and zero side effects. When I pointed out that the lab data was outdated and that I preferred to obtain current labs before making medication changes--particularly starting a statin--I was subsequently dismissed as a patient. Not for nonpayment, not for disruptive behavior, but for questioning a recommendation and asking for updated clinical data. Professionalism: none. Bedside manner: unacceptable. A special acknowledgment goes to the "Practice Manager" for finalizing what was already set in motion. The approach to patient care, clinical judgment, and basic professionalism here is deeply lacking. There are far better providers in the area worthy of a patient's trust and investment.

Hospital visits are never fun. My husband brought me to the St. Francis ER on Tuesday with severe…read moreabdominal pain, a fever, and vomiting. I was seen by the intake nurse within two minutes of walking in to the ER. An ER doctor actually sits at intake to help triage; within five minutes he told me he thought it was my gallbladder and had ordered pain medicine and nausea meds before my husband even got in from parking the car. Within ten minutes I had gotten my blood drawn for blood work; within 20 minutes I was in ultrasound while my husband was taken to my room. My ultrasound and bloodwork were abnormal so a CT was ordered. I was pain free throughout all of this because of how quickly the admitting doctor prescribed medication and I was out of CT within an hour and a half of walking in the door. Every nurse and tech described exactly what was happening next, and asked my husband how he was doing or if he needed anything as well. Brooke, my ER nurse, was amazing and took the time to talk with me even though they had gotten very busy. She really kept me calm throughout the entire process. Within three hours a surgeon had come down to discuss my emergency gallbladder removal. Dr. Johnson explained every step, and took the time to sit down with me to ask me questions about my lifestyle in order to give me the most realistic expectation of what my recovery would be like. I was taken up to preop where Corrie was my nurse, and she was awesome as well. I never felt rushed or like i was "another room" that they had to deal with-every nurse and doctor would sit down and actually talk to me instead of rushing in for just a minute or two. After surgery Dr. Johnson went into recovery to update my husband. He asked him if he wanted anything to drink and made sure that HE was comfortable while he was waiting! He fully explained how the procedure went and answered all of his questions. I walked in to St. Francis at 11:30am and was out of surgery by 8:00pm (less time than most people spend just waiting to be seen in the ER!) Every single person in this hospital made me feel safe, cared for, and gave me full confidence that I was in great hands. I really hope I'll never have to go back, but St. Francis is definitely where i will go if I ever end up in the hospital again. Thank you for all that you guys do!

8/9/2025 chester Emergency room I have Ehlers Danlos…read moreSyndrome. I came in at 1am in extreme pain. They gave me Toradol and a muscle relaxer. The pain was still not controlled, and when I told the dr I was still in pain he started treating me like a drug seeker "we will not be giving you opioids tonight." Then when I got tired of his smart aleck attitude I asked him if he treated everyone this way. He just kept repeating "do you have any other questions?" Over and over. Then I'd ask him one and he would ask me "do you have any other questions?" I asked him why was he talking to me like a robot. I Then asked to speak to a patient advocate because I knew he was stereotyping me and refusing to treat my pain in an appropriate way. With a smirk on his face he said "it's the middle of the night on a Friday, no one's here but me." Then he walked out. His name was Dr (I use that title loosely) Jeffrey Mason. I will be contacting a patient advocate on Monday and reporting the way he degraded me. The charge nurse and all the other nurses there advocated for me but he wouldn't budge. It was weird. They saw the pain I was in. All he saw was what he wanted to see. People like HIM should not be Dr's.
