Signed up online which stated a 15 minute estimated wait, got a text on the way which stated 30 minute estimated wait showed up ahead of my schedule time on their app by about 10 minutes and the front desk said it's at least an hour implying it's going to be a very long wait. Nobody was in waiting room except a couple who had not checked in yet. How is it "at least an hour" with nobody in the waiting room? It can't be appointments because I got one an hour earlier with earlier times available. Didnt like the general support from the front desk as well so got an appointment at the AFC by Wegmans while waiting and was able to leave this location, drive to AFC and been seen in less then 20 minutes. I assume this Bon Secours location is either not staffed or the workers just can't be bothered. I would avoid this place and go with any of the other options in area.

I've been to this clinic at least 8 times since January 2015, and am always amazed at the level of care offered, and the professionalism of the staff. I like to sum up reviews with a single word, and for the Southside Health Center, the word is "inclusivity." Services offered are general medical services, pediatric, dental, and behavioral health. I am unaware of the full scope of services offered, but I would recommend SHC to anyone, irrespective of their means. The interior is squeaky clean. There are always sufficient receptionists to accommodate both the English and Spanish community. Additionally, they can provide translation for a large number of languages, including French, Portuguese, Creole, and Italian. The parking lot can be crowded at times, but it has never been too full for my car to fit in.

On my most recent visit I came to do a wellness check up so I can get my wellness dollars through my employer. I didn't schedule myself this time but luckily when I showed up there wasn't a wait time at all. I brought my voucher and form that needed to be filled out and the lady who was there helped with all of that. I didn't spent a dollar on either visits because my insurance covered it all. Literally paid me to get a check up. Pretty convenient spot for me.

I called the billing department and the office to understand what this $129 fee is for. I was told that this fee was for talking to you about your symptoms plus the time they spend on you. So the longer you stay, the more the charge at the minute clinic. Just be aware of this before you choose the minute clinic. It doesn't save money compared to urgent care and emergency care. The only advantage is that you can reserve ahead on the same day. But for people who decide to drop in, you may still need to wait for more than an hour.

He has issues with dehydration. He took a fall this week and twice last week. I am only part time. The squad came and took him to this dump. He has been in there since this past Monday with no real answers. First they were looking at normal pressure hydrocephelas, where cerebral spinal fluid backs up, and begins creating neuromuscular issues, such as with balance, gait, mobility, and mental processing. We were told a small shunt would solve the issue, confirming it would be determined with a spinal tap. Upon visiting yesterday, he was NPO, which we thought meant he was scheduled for the procedure. He also had an MRI to rule out any cerebral issues or seeing if the falls did any damage. Now, they seemed more concerned about his cervical spine and doing some overpriced surgery that could kill him, while completely ignoring any of the neurological issues previously discussed. Aside from that, he had a few accidents after they removed the Foley Catheter and his current inability to feel urination or defecation until it is too late. He was bullied by an overnight nurse for pooping on himself twice, and they are withholding fluid and food for no reason. No procedure has been scheduled, giving cause for starving him and making his dehydration worse. I hate all things Bon Secours. They almost killed me in 2017 in Mary Immaculate in Newport News, Virginia, after telling them I had a previous bad experience with nerve blocks. I had a reaction to the on-board Scalene nerve block that sent me into liver failure. This place sucks. It may look like a nice place, but it's a sh*t hole. If you love your family, take them to Chippenham or Johnston-Willis.
