Not this place. I am extremely impressed by this facility. I waited in line outside for 5 min before they opened, there were like 5 people in front of me and giving the fact that today was my first time visiting PF, the registration process was super fast as well as being called to be seen. In less than one hour I was registered, taken my vitals, lab work, urine test, X-rays and was seen by the dr. Got diagnosed AND I got my medication here before I left. Talk about GREAT freaking service. EVERYONE was absolutely nice and in a good mood. The best experience I've had. Thank you to the staff.

Do NOT come to this urgent care under any circumstance. My family and I had a truly terrible and…read moredangerous experience here, specifically with Physician Assistant Frieda S. Priest, P.A., whose negligence put my mother's health and life at risk. During the week of August 15th, both of my parents went in for a joint appointment. My father's check up was routine, but my mother was recovering from a cough and needed careful attention. Unfortunately, instead of being seen by a licensed doctor, she was placed under the care of a Physician Assistant acting far beyond her competency. From the very beginning, the level of care was unacceptable. Despite being provided with all the correct medical history and information, Ms. Priest mixed up patient files, a careless error no medical professional should ever make. She mistakenly listed my mother as a smoker (which she has NEVER been), and as a result, prescribed her a medication that was harmful to her lungs. Within days, my mother's condition worsened to the point that we had to rush her to the emergency room because she could not breathe. It was there, under the care of qualified physicians, that we learned of the mistake and how the urgent care's failure led directly to her crisis. This is not just a small mistake. This is gross negligence. Allowing a Physician Assistant to see patients without the oversight of a doctor and to make inaccurate diagnoses and dangerous prescriptions is reckless and unsafe. Patients trust urgent care facilities to provide competent care, not to gamble with their health. Our family will never return to this urgent care. They put my mother's life in jeopardy through incompetence and lack of accountability. If you value your health and safety, do not go to this location.

Regarding: Dr. Jonathan Isaacs…read more I drove from Hampton to Richmond for nothing. I was referred to Dr. Isaacs by my orthopedic surgeon to determine whether my bone tumor was an enchondroma or chondrosarcoma:. Prior to him entering the room, his nurse told me that they didn't receive the image of the x-ray,, but they only were able to view the written x-ray summary/notes. She asked me if I had a disk of the x-ray, and I told her no. Dr. Isaacs rushed in about 5 minutes later and said that based on what he can see from the x-ray, he doesn't think it's a bone tumor, before even examining my hand. Then, when I told him that I had surgery on that finger for an enchondroma in 2015, he then walks over and examines it and says, "Okay, so, it's probably a reoccurring enchondroma then, but let me take another set of x-rays to see." This tells me that he did not even review my file thoroughly, if at all. He rushed through my appointment and really gave me no new information other than what we already knew, and then, when I told him that I was experiencing pain in that finger, he attributed it to my anxiety. I took off a full day of work, wasted gas and time for absolutely nothing.

THANK YOU VCU! A huge healthcare complex in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. Providing countless…read moremedical services to those in need. Speaking of countless, my story is only one of countless others. My story: Recently, my oldest sister (previously a nurse) and last sibling of four, suffered a massive stroke in the right hemisphere of her brain. Flown in a Life Star from a remote location eighty miles away as the Star flies to VCU. Immediately emitted to the Critical Care Center ICU. She eventually, gained from movement on her right side and very limited communication in about a week. Thou her prognosis wasn't positive, the medical care team kept hope and provided time for loved ones to visit and make peace. My daughter (also a nurse) and I were able to visit. The medical staff made sure every visitor were comfortable, informed, and able to spend as much time as needed to be with her. After about two weeks in the facility, my sister's final wish was to be home with loved ones; all with the mutual agreement with her husband and the immediate family. The Palliative Care Team assisted everyone discussing options and planning the next steps together. The Team was available as needed to answer and questions or concerns. Transferred home and under the watchful eye of family, Hospice professionals, and the Palliative Team, Barb was able to be home for a few more days. Rest In Peace dear sister (and aunt, wife, daughter, mother, grand mother, even a great-grand mother!). VCU we are all, including Nurse Barbara, forever grateful.
