Have been a patient for 20 years. Dr. Decker and staff are knowledgeable, caring and professional. They take the time necessary to listen to you and then provide the counseling and/or medication required. read more

I gave one star only because there isn't an option for zero. Family Practice Associates was my primary care provider for the past six years--and prior to that, I was a patient there for another seven years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience ended that relationship. During a recent visit with a PA (whom I was seeing for the first time), he relied on lab results that were over 15 months old to conclude that I needed to be placed on a statin and switched to a different blood pressure medication. What was particularly concerning was the complete lack of a measured, evidence-based approach. A reasonable starting point would have been: "Your last labs showed elevated cholesterol--let's order updated labs to see where things stand today and then discuss next steps." Instead, the conclusion was immediate: I should begin a statin. For context, I scheduled the appointment simply to refill my blood pressure medication and request updated labs to evaluate several health markers I've been actively working to improve over the past year. Without asking how my current medication was working, the PA stated he wanted to switch me off Losartan--apparently unaware that another physician in the same practice had already adjusted my medication two years ago with excellent results and zero side effects. When I pointed out that the lab data was outdated and that I preferred to obtain current labs before making medication changes--particularly starting a statin--I was subsequently dismissed as a patient. Not for nonpayment, not for disruptive behavior, but for questioning a recommendation and asking for updated clinical data. Professionalism: none. Bedside manner: unacceptable. A special acknowledgment goes to the "Practice Manager" for finalizing what was already set in motion. The approach to patient care, clinical judgment, and basic professionalism here is deeply lacking. There are far better providers in the area worthy of a patient's trust and investment. read more

Dr.Raymond Decker is an excellent doctor. I have been going to his office for many years, and he has seen me through several hospitalizations. My daughter loves him too! read more

Since Dr. Hallman retired the practice has gone down. There is a constant rotation of doctors and staff. Questions are asked with no expectation of an answer or recommendation. Made an appointment for a RX refill. Once there i was told they no longer prescribe that medication. I should have been upfront without wasting my time and the money from the insurance company. That don't seem to really practice medicine anymore. Now I'm on the hunt for another medical office after being with this one for over 30 years. Very disappointing and disheartening. read more

I went to see Dr. Decker after Labor Day to get a drug renewed. The Doctor I had been seeing left the practice. I started way back when with Dr, Wheeler, he was great. Retired. Got PA Trawick, good a first, but he went south with long waits and no solutions for anything. Left practice. Got Nurse Levinius, she was OK but a little too much off the charts for me. Wacky ideas. Got Dr. Bachman - he was good really liked him. Left the practice. Went to see Decker, waited an hour and still couldn't get in the door. Rescheduled. Went to see Dr. Decker again, waited 40 minutes told it would be another 40 minutes. Rescheduled, but I'm not going, I feel like you need to take a bag lunch if you are going to see a Doctor here, maybe bring a sleeping bag or a lawn chair. Bring something to read because their Wi-Fi sucks. I'm off to find a new Doctor in a new place. Maybe the staff could buy Decker a watch, and he could stop counting time on his toes. The people on the staff could at least tell you that he's running hours late. Give you an option before you do wait. I think the building would get better use if they turned it into a MacDonalds - and I don't like MacDonalds. read more

The docs are great and the staff are all smiles and very pleasant. The practice itself is just one more greedy business trying to squeeze the last penny out of all potential revenue streams - and that includes you. And if you should try to clarify what any of your charges mean, you'll experience the real dark side of this practice. The attitude in billing is that if you are asking why something was charged or what the vaguely stated description for an itemized charge means then you must be stupid If money is not a concern you will enjoy being a patient here. The facility is clean and both doctors and employees are happy and accommodating in a practiced way. Maybe this is simply the way of the world today. Depressing. (I'll probably get a bill for saying that) read more

Very unprofessional service from Dr. Gretchen Lockard. I am currently going through a divorce and my spouse brought false information to this Dr. who decided to take sides. She wrote a letter that my spouse is now trying to use in court. This is unacceptable for her to get involved. I unknowingly was continuing treatment and getting proscriptions from this Dr. who I no longer trust. Now I'm in search of a new GP. read more

I had the WORST experience with nurse practitioner Kelly-Flowers -Frazier and her doctor she reports to Rashida Kaundal. When you can watch a patient gasp for air and not getting any(based on the noise I was making) , and do nothing but YELL at them to breathe, I don't need you Both of you should be SO ashamed at yourself in the way you treated me today. I was old enough to be your mother and clearly neither one of you recognized that when you are over 60. , you have tried lots of things and know what works and what doesn't Their sheer incompetence makes me wonder where they got their medical license from. I do plan on following up with a report to the medical board. No one should have to go through what I went through. I have never been so scared in my life Please go to another practice that actually CARES. This place has been going down in the last few years as each one of my doctors have left the practice After 30+ years, I'm leaving too. I can get better care at a veterinary office read more

Maybe 0 * this the worst experience I had in Dr office. I went to for my annual exam on September my lab order not sent to the place have to be more than a month . I like the Dr but I don't know I have to done my lab or wait other place to look who treats me like a human read more

I had a scheduled telehealth visit for 4pm. By 4:30 I had heard nothing and called the office. They told me I was still on the schedule and it would be only a few more minutes. After another 30 minutes, I finally gave up and put my phone down as I had stuff to do (they don't consider that). The office called a few minutes after 5 and left a message to call the office. I don't understand why I had to call the office unless it was to see if I was still available. When I called the office , I was immediately put on hold. So, by this time I was pretty sure the telehealth visit wasn't going to happen. This was not the first time I had to wait over 30 minutes at this practice. I have NEVER had this happen at any other medical practice. read more

I have been going here for Decades and I am now seeing Dr. Lockard and NP Kristi and NP Jodi have helped me in the past when I can not get into to see Dr. Lockhard. Family Practice Associates of Chesterfield.....YOU SUCK! My pharmacy has been requesting a refill on one of my meds for a week and a half to no avail and they never responded back. I called the practice a bit ago to find out what the issue was and discovered my PCP is no longer at the practice! I was never notified of this change!! When I requested to be placed with a new PCP I was told NONE of the Docs where accepting any new patients and that I would have to see a PA instead. Family Practice Associates of Chesterfield. There seems to be a mass exodus from this place. I have gone here for a while but both of my primaries and others who I enjoyed seeing have left over the years. I tried one of their new ones and he was just crazy arrogant to the point that I am shopping around for a new doc. Their responses to the portal seem to be universally terrible. I have tried to get refills and information and it takes them forever to the point that I had to schedule an appointment with Mr. arrogant to try and get something done. A few years ago my score would have been much higher but they seem to be falling apart. read more

I had been going to this office since 2014 to see Dr. Hartman. The past 2 years I have gone for a checkup I was told that I could not see Dr. Hartman as he was booked out for checkups and needed to see one of the Nurse Practitioners in the office. I had no issue doing that as there was nothing wrong with me just a needed a checkup and flu shot. I have done that for the past 2 years with no issues. No experience was ever great or amazed me however its a doctors office and my experience was always neutral. Recently however I attempted to call and make an appointment with Dr. Hartman to be told that since I haven't seen him in 2 years that I am no longer a patient of his and he is not accepting new patients?! I was upset by this news and explained that the only reason I hadn't seen him was due to fact that they always steered me towards a Nurse Practitioner. Now that I have a medical need, I wanted to see Dr. Hartman. The unhelpful and rude receptionist, 'Bonnie' informed me that the soonest appointment for Dr. Hartman was 3 months out. These people do NOT care about the patient and treat you as if they are doing a favor by seeing them. See other negative reviews for confirmation of this! Needless to say I told 'Bonnie' that I will be finding another office that perhaps cares for their patients. If I could give 0-Stars on google I would. Highly recommend finding another office. read more

I love this place! Best service I've ever received at a dr'a office. Today I had a unique experience. My pharmacy was giving the run around about a prescription. So I called my physician (nurse) Rachael Martin (incredibly awesome at what she does and always positive - love her energy). I spoke with her assistant, Jen. Jen is also very helpful and great at her craft! Jen did exactly what she was supposed to do but the pharmacy still got it wrong....so I had to call the dr's office back. I was going on a hurry so I asked the lady (Dianne) if she could get in touch with Jen to work this out..::Dianne paged or called Jen - but Jen didn't answer because she was busy. So Dianne went out of her way to find Jen and tell her the ongoing issue. Then Jen proceeded to call the pharmacist. This isn't a one off experience...no - I've never had this exact same issue but the doctors, the receptionists, the nurses and assistants have always gone out of their way to help, smile, and just do whatever they could to help. I recommend this doctors office and specifically Rachael Martin and Jen! Awesome team. read more

I saw the PA for an infected splinter. I went for a Tetanus shot. I was told to "stop by" for a quick follow up in a few days without an appointment. He didn't even look at the problem. Had given the wrong antibiotic and had to prescribe another. Took all of 3 minutes. Was told to come back. Again, barely looked at my injury. Both of the second visits could have been done by phone. They charged me so much that my insurance company would not pay for the follow ups, which should not have been billed at all. I called and spoke with billing and with management and they refused to reduce the bill. There are doctors who try to get away with soaking Medicare. But this time medicare isn't falling for it and I'm left paying almost $300 for a bill that should have been $128. I attempted to put this review on Healthgrades and it wouldn't go through. read more

Been going here for decades now. Great physicians, friendly staff, never a long wait time.

Dr. Lockard is amazing! Our whole family sees her! She never rushes us and always listens, discusses options and then together we make decisions. Her nurse, Chelsea, is also amazing! They both are very responsive. Also the front desk staff is very friendly! read more

I called back in July to make an appointment. The girl told me I would be considered a new patient because I hadn't been there in 3 years and to call back the first of September to make the appointment. I did. My appointment was for December 23. I waited patiently .Today is December 21, 2022 and they called to inform me my appointment was canceled because I was a new patient. And of course, they were sorry. The same thing happened to a friend of mine 3 weeks ago, but I thought I was ok. NOT!!!!! What kind of business does this??? This is not acceptable. read more

I've gone through several practices over the years. Most times it was the doctors I liked but the office staff and billing issues that they created was not worth the irritation. Than I found Family Practice Associates. I've absolutely love this office! I'm usually able to get an appointment very easily. The doctors are all wonderful and take the time to listen and want to help you. The nurse practitioners are excellent and very caring. The hours are M-F 8:00 -7:00 Sat & Sun 10-3. They have in house X-ray machines labs and are right behind the hospital. Parking is a breeze. Check them out at: http://fampracticeassociates.com read more

My whole family has gone here for years. Great and competent doctors and nurses. They have great hours and same day sick visits (not common for a PCP) which helps us avoid going to urgent care/patient first. I feel like they don't overdue it on tests and extra charges but really just care about your health. Straight and to the point and fairly quick for a doctors office. read more

We have been going here for years. Most of the drs are very knowledgeable and kind. One NP (she is no longer there) sent my mom to get a chest x Ray to see if she had pneumonia. My mom never heard back from the NP. My mom went back to this practice several months later and asked about her chest x Ray. A different Dr reviewer her file and said a mass was growing on her lung. My mom died of lung cancer (never smoked and hated any smoke). Who knows if she would have had a better survival rate if the NP that is no longer there or the radiologist would have contacted my mom earlier for surgery? When my mom got surgery scheduled, the cancer spread to her lymph nodes.... all the drs and workers there have been great otherwise... read more

I have been going to this medical facility for years. This year, Family Practice Associates have charged me for an annual exam in which is supposed to be included in my medical coverage. They overrode the preventative care service which is $0 and charged me for an office visit by stating they discussed my medical issues which they have had in their files since I have been using this facility doctors as my primary for over 15 years. I am very disappointed with their billing fees. read more

I have been a patient here for several years and have had two doctors and two nurse practitioners as PCPs. This place is terrible. I love my current nurse and NP, they are very nice, but they, and every other PCP I have had suck at prescriptions. Refills, call ins, faxes, doesn't matter, they won't be called in or faxed. Even when you go in for a visit, your prescription is likely to be messed up, unless you have a written one in your hand. If you run out of medication because of their mess up, don't expect timely help or a timely fix. And no apology for their mistakes will be given. My wife was recently diagnosed here with a tumor in her hip. She was told it was benign and not to worry about it. She made an appointment with an oncologist who did confirm it was benign, but pointed out she was a break risk and needed a hip replacement because of the tumor. Yet, her PCP said "don't worry about it." My experience leads me to believe this practice is not concerned with your health, they are more concerned with patient quantity. Beware. read more

Have gone there for years - no one was better than Dr. Lester (miss her) and when she retired the hand off to Dr. Carpenter was wonderful but since then it has been one terrible experience after another with the docs and especially the PA. They come in with a pre determined diagnosis, they don't listen and they tell you, "you look good but you perceive you are sick so I guess I will give you something." Then they weren't even going to tell us what they were prescribing until we pushed them to answer which was going to be something that historically doesn't work and if they bother to review the chart they would have known that. I would not recommend them as it was such a waste of time and my insurance was billed for a MD but we saw uncaring non-patient centered PA. read more

Not sure why this group has only 3.5 stars...ever since we moved from CT, finding really good doctors and staff has been a bit challenging. However, once we came across the doctors and support staff at Family Practice, our search was complete for a primary care facility. What makes them so wonderful? Well...just about everything! Their beautiful and convenient location, comfortable and clean facility, extended and weekend hours, fair costs for exams and lab work...which most can be done on site...no going to LabCorp! But most importantly of all, the staff! Everyone is patient, supportive, knowledgeable, and simply a pleasure to know! I have never had a billing issue, and in fact, just recently I had to pay out of pocket since I am presently unemployed and they discounted my visit and services! I was so grateful! I feel blessed to call Family Practice Associates my primary care group and would recommend them to anyone . An extra special shout out to their newest PA, Alyssa Waitkus...wonderful!! read more
